Chapter 39: are you really 2 years older than me?
I don't know what happened to me that day, but because I had already made a promise, I started to bring this annoying black-haired boy around the ship as he asked. Also, because Shanks' pirate ship is quite large, we have to walk quite a long time to go to all the places.
'Heh, so this is the inside of the famous redhead pirate ship,' the boy who was walking behind me and looking all around commented as he explored the interior of the building.
'Take a look at this country boy. He's got no shame at all.'
This boy suddenly said, "By the way, I didn't know your name until now," but I, who was still in a grumpy mood, only responded coldly:
"No need for that. I'm sure Shanks has also mentioned my name to you, right?"
"That's true, but I want to hear it from your mouth in person," after saying that, the boy who was walking behind me suddenly walked beside me before grabbing my hand and forcing me to shake hands with him.
"My name is Luffy, and I am still 6 years old."
I was still a little surprised, so I didn't know what to say. But seeing Luffy's big smile caused me to take a deep breath before answering briefly:
"Uta, eight years old."
Luffy's eyes immediately widened as he looked at me in disbelief, and in the end, he said, "are you really 2 years older than me? How is that possible."
After Luffy pointed it out to me, I also realized it now, and slowly a smile appeared on my face because somehow I felt a little happy about it. So while puffing out my chest, I replied:
"Listen, now that you know about it, you had better watch how you act in front of me from now on."
Still maintaining his big grin, Luffy paused for a moment. The fact that this boy was staring at me so intently made me feel uncomfortable, So I averted my gaze to hide my embarrassment. Nevertheless, what Luffy said next caused my forehead to twitch a few times:
"You, who are weaker and get angry more easily than me, should be younger than me, right?"
"You idiot, who's the one who's weaker and more easily angered, huh?"
Out of annoyance, I hurriedly continued walking, leaving Luffy behind. But soon, I could hear Luffy's hastened footsteps following me, and after that, we explored all of the areas on this ship without saying much.

After returning to the original place where we were arm wrestling earlier, Luffy, who was previously upbeat, now looks quieter, and because I don't care either way, I don't intend to ask the reason.
"Hey, Uta, have you really shown me all the places on this ship?"
"Of course. What's more, can't you see how tired we both are after going around all this big ship?" I refuted as I wiped the sweat from my forehead with a handkerchief.
"Really, but I'm sure there are some places we missed, like Shanks' room, the room where you guys kept your treasures, and there are many more, right?"
I glared at Luffy as if I wanted to see something he kept from me and replied, "Are you stupid? All the rooms you mentioned are, of course, secret. There's no way I'd let a stranger like you enter them."
After seeing the disappointed expression on Luffy's face, I just sighed and thought to myself, 'looks like he really just wants to take a look at all the places on this famous red hair pirate's ship,'
"Okay, quit being such a downer. Do you want to play the game again or not? If you win, who knows, I might let you see that hidden room?"
Luffy, who previously showed disappointment, immediately became cheerful again when he started to challenge me and taunt me before making my emotions flare up. So throughout the day, we played some more games.

"hahahaha, 4-0. How can you be this bad, Uta?" Luffy laughed out loud as he stood in front of me while I was sitting on the floor looking miserable.
This is the fourth game we have played today, and I have not won a single one of them. Even when I suggested games that rely on luck, such as the rock-paper-scissors game, I still did very poorly in those games.
"Shut up! Stop laughing at me! You must have been cheating all this time. There's no way I can keep losing to you," I yelled out in rage, but Luffy just grinned as if he wanted to make fun of me.
After everything was said and done, he requested some ink and paint from me before instructing me to close my eyes. For some reason, I had a bad feeling about this, and sure enough, I could feel a cold sensation touching my face.
When I opened my eyes to take a peek, I saw Luffy doing something to my face with his hands that were covered in paint. I took a step back, but Luffy, who had realized what I was thinking, immediately grabbed my shoulder firmly.
"Ahh, your hands! don't dirty my clothes with that paint!" When Luffy accidentally splashed paint on my shirt and pants and then continued trying to draw something on my face, I let out a panicked scream and ran away in terror.
"Don't move. This is your punishment for losing, don't go back on your word now."
"No... *sob... why are you always mean to me..."
In the end, I could not contain my emotions, and I began to struggle and run away. This continued until the two of us started chasing each other across the ship's deck. The upbeat tone of Luffy's voice was directly inversely proportional to the amount of fear and tears I shed while attempting to get away from him.
