Chapter 1: Past And Present
In a run-down building near the old city, a man can be seen sleeping on the cold floor. The house was very old and was on the verge of collapse with broken windows fixed with wooden planks and a leaking roof. The man was very lean but his body was not weak and he had some muscles underneath his skin. He was not very handsome but was above average in terms of looks. Even though he was good-looking in reality his looks were hidden because of his shabby clothes and tangled hair. The man was an orphan and worked at a car production factory as a laborer. The man has no name as he was abandoned at a very young age with no detail but he was nicknamed John by his co-workers at the factory.
Suddenly sounds of police sirens reached the man's ear. When he peeked outside from his broken window which was fixed with planks he saw a man carrying guns being chased by the police. Even though it was common for people living in this area to carry guns as most of them were people with connections to the dark side of the world, what was strange today was the police being here as this area was mostly neglected and no authorities paid attention to it.
John decided to call his only friend Nick, who worked as a paparazzi for a local news channel, to find out what had really happened today as the police had come to this area. By talking with Nick, John came to know that the person being chased had killed a government official and soon secret agents would come to investigate this case. Many of the top dogs have left the city in fear. As John has done no illegal activity he decided to remain in the city and go to work as usual.
Little did he know that because of politics, the area was already declared a terrorist outpost by the Army General, and soldiers were on their way to reach there.
After coming home from a long tiring day at work, John had taken a short bath and was planning to eat cup noodles when suddenly his door was blasted open, and well-trained soldiers with deadly weapons marched into his room.
All of them had pointed their guns at John, and a man with medals attached to his uniform came forward and ordered the soldiers in a domineering voice to hold fire. The officer's eyes were full of guilt when he pointed a pistol at John's head and spoke in a dull voice, "I am sorry but I have to follow orders", then the officer pressed the trigger and with a bang sound John's head was blasted by a bullet. John's brain could be seen scattered on the wall while blood was flowing on the floor. Suddenly an eyeball rolled out of its socket and slowly reached the officer's foot. When the soldiers peeked at the eyeball they could clearly see the confusion hidden in John's eye. There was only one question in John's brain which had busted like a watermelon. Why was he killed, and what has he done to deserve this kind of death?
NOT DEAD
As John died a very astonishing phenomenon happened somewhere. John, who had thought his consciousness would be erased when the gun's trigger was pulled, was watching a mirror image of an old man, dressed like a Sage standing in front of a calm lake. He found his consciousness inside that old Sage, who was about to die and was on his last breath. A huge smile could be seen on the elderly fellow's face like his greatest dream was completed with his last breath.
As for John, he could not understand what was happening, but his heart started beating rapidly while feelings of happiness and satisfaction filled his mind.
After a few seconds, he found his consciousness transferred from the dead man to an abyss. A place filled with darkness and where no light could reach. It was only after six months that John began to understand the place he was in, as his senses slowly awakened. He was inside a Woman's womb, and he could not move his hands or legs as they were not fully grown, but he could feel the warmth of the woman that would be his new mother. As John has been an orphan with no particular attachments, he has no problem calling the woman his mother.
As John could hear what was happening outside he slowly began to understand the language in which his mother and everyone speak. The most surprising thing was that in just 1 month he was able to fully grasp the language.
After he learned the language John came to the realization that he had traveled space and time as he was not born on Earth but a planet full of supernatural phenomena. A fictional world that he has read in novels and watched in movies really did exist.
A world where mystical creatures like Dragons and Phoenix were common. A world where beings like God, Angels, and the Devil that were worshiped on Earth could be seen roaming in tranquility. A world where people possessed unimaginable powers that could not be explained even with the advancement in science and technology.
For two months John focused on what was happening outside and learned how people of this new world lived. He slowly became familiar with this new world that was named Brahman.
After 9 months, John's body had fully developed, and he could move his hands and legs. He realised he would be born at any moment as generally, 9 months was the date of delivery for a human child even in the world of Brahman. John was very excited to see the world a second time and enjoy a new life that would be filled with joy and hope instead of a life of misery he lived in his previous life.
