Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Park Sun-Ah.
After speedrunning through the paperwork I had to do, I looked at the time and realized I had 30 minutes before I had to meet Hae-In. I silently panicked as I realized I had no clothes to wear because of my lack of a home or closet. I internally sighed at my laziness and I knew if I walked around to find clothes, I won't have enough time to make it there like a normal person.
'Hey system, can I ask of a huge favor? Can you make some clothes for me please?' There was no answer but the familiar golden screen gave me the answer I wanted.
[It is possible, but it requires something of equal value, so I will be taking your current clothes. I recommend you find a bathroom]
I clicked my tongue and ran inside a public restroom and soon my clothes fizzled out of existence and new, better looking ones replaced them. It was a plain black shirt, a black zip-up with the word SLOTH on the back, jeans and black shoes. I thanked the system profusely and began my trek to my destination.
I walked pretty fast so that I wouldn't arrive on time but 10 minutes earlier. When I arrived at the restaurant, I saw Hae-In standing in front of it on her phone and with a handkerchief over her nose. I looked at the time and saw that it was 7:45, I was earlier than I expected but she was even earlier than me. I took a good look at her outfit and she had on a white blouse with jeans and sandals.
I walked near her and when she looked up, I could see her eyes brighten a little. She removed her handkerchief and waved at me with a smile, "Good evening Hunter Natae," she said.
"Please don't be so formal, call me Natae," I said with a laugh and she nodded, "Then I ask that you do the same, please call me Hae-In from now on." I nodded and we both walked into the restaurant. I enjoyed my night with Hae-In and we sat on top of an abandoned building out of the city limits staring at the stars.
"Thank you for inviting me out tonight, I probably would've hanged around with Peanut the whole night," I said with a laugh as Peanut dozed off on Hae-In's shoulder.
"No, I should be thanking you. You did save my life after all, I don't think I could repay what you've done but I at least wanted to thank my savior," Hae-In laughed as she scratched Peanut's head, "Don't worry about it, you don't owe me anything. I heard from Hunter Choi Jong-In, that you insisted that you guys should come and check up on me, I appreciate that." I really did appreciate it, more than she thinks. She blushed at my comment about her and looked away.
"I, uh, we couldn't leave you to die right?" She said as she looked up at the stars, I unconsciously found myself smiling, "No, I guess you couldn't..."
My night ended with me walking Hae-In home and a kiss on my cheek. I walked around Seoul on cloud nine and when I reached my tree, I was about to close my eyes and have an amazing dream but I heard a distressing scream. It sounded pretty close to my tree and I had Kira fly up and scout for me.
"Master, the screams are coming from that way," Kira pointed east of my tree, deeper into the woods. I thanked him and ran in at full speed. After 30 seconds, I saw a few men who looked to be hunters and judging by their mana levels, D-Rank hunters, surrounding a teenaged girl. Parts of her clothes were torn and her back was against a tree.
"C'mon, we just wanna have some fun! You should be glad that a D-Rank hunter such as myself is blessing you with his presence you E-rank whore!" The leader of this band of retards yelled as he tried to kick the girl. I appeared in front of his foot and grabbed his leg.
"What the fuck?!" He tried prying his leg out of my grip but that was unsuccessful, "I'll give you all a chance to leave without losing a limb or worse, so go." I said but I heard one of them laugh.
"Hey, isn't it that S-Ranked old man who popped up out of nowhere?" Fuck these guys. I made a small cut on the leg of the lead retard and tried a new skill I was brewing.
"Dismantle," I used [Blood Manipulation] to heat his blood up to super high temperatures and then made it explode.
"PLEASE HELP M-" He turned into an explosion of blood, guts, and retard, "None of you are leaving alive tonight, may Yama condemn you to eternal damnation," I used [Water Manipulation] to create ice crystals to make small cuts in their noses before using Dismantle on them as well, making their upper bodies explode. Despite all of this gore, none of the blood got on me or the girl.
Speaking of the girl, I took a good look at her. She had long fiery red hair and a pair of rubies for eyes, she had a small scar on her chin and she was looking at me with fear and awe.
"Are you okay?" I asked as I healed her. She nodded before speaking, "T-Thank you! I can't repay you so use my life as you please!" She kowtowed making me laugh awkwardly, what was with everyone in repayment?
"You don't owe me anything, all I want to do is make sure you're safe and maybe your name," I said with a minor laugh and she looked up with tears in her eyes, "M-My name is Park Sun-Ah, I'm now the weakest hunter in the world after Hunter Sung Jinwoo-nim became an S-Ranker, I'm very pleased to meet you Hunter Natae-nim!"
So she's an E-Ranker huh? I doubt she's able to survive like a regular human, she probably lives fighting with her life on the line everyday.
"You look pretty young, why aren't you in school?" I asked as I helped her stand up, she looked downward and held onto her tattered skirt, "I don't have the time to, since I need money to pay the rent, school was put in the backseat," She said as tears threatened to escape from her eyes. She probably doesn't have any living relatives...I sighed at myself, the Sin of Sloth caring so much? That goes against my entire nature, but this time I can't help it, just like fighting.
"Hey kid, how about I cut you a deal," She looked up and tilted her head in confusion, "In a month I'm holding recruitment for my guild. So how about I train you a bit, so you can get into the guild and focus on school?" Her face contorted and she began crying like a child as she hugged me.
"I'll take that as a yes, but be aware I'm going to be very harsh in my training," She nodded her head as she continued to cry and finally stopped after 15 minutes. I patted her head and I asked her to wait there. I rushed out of the woods and bought some clothes for her along with some takeout, I'll have to get more stuff in the morning.
I went back and she was fast asleep on a nearby tree. I sighed again and picked her up, before finding a nearby hotel and buying two rooms. I finally got to sleep and I had an amazing dream that I will never say to the person who was in it.

I woke up that morning and knocked on Sun-Ah's hotel door. I heard scrambling and she soon opened the door. She had her new clothes on and I could see a bit of rice on her cheek.
"G-Goodmorning Hunter Natae-nim!" She yelled with a bow, I laughed a bit, "From now on it's Teacher, we start your hell month today," She didn't look disheartened which made me smile.
She had no idea what she was getting into...
