Chapter 2: Dante

I threw the papers which I was supposed to sing according to my family flying in the air and scattered around. My workers pick it up with a feared expression. This is not new to them, I mean seeing me lashing out but still they fear, do I care? No. Who does my family think I am? I am not their puppet to make me dance according to their rhythm. I will never give up on the love of my life Noha. We were boyfriends for nine years almost a decade, they tried everything to make me break up with him but our love is not something weak that they could break easily, we survived and went through everything together from the beginning till now. My family was opposed to my relationship with Noha not because they were homophobic but cause I am the only heir and hope of the Rizzuto clan. We have a history in Sicily. They want me to marry a Sicily woman and have kids to expand of old clan legacy. I don't want it anyway. I work on my own, now it grew up big and I am a multi-billionaire on my own. My aunts' husbands and cousins were so greedy for this position but my grandfather don't want them to have any of this position. I know my uncles and cousins doing some illegal stuff, it's not like we were not into underworld but not into human and drug trafficking. I can't give up on my love after all this time for this legacy crap. I can't live without Noha cause he is my everything, I can't even imagine a day without him.
My grandfather was bedridden for two months. He is on the verge of dying, and my uncles and cousins already made their moves to get our clan's properties. Today morning my dad called ms and said that our family lawyer will read my grandfather's will. Now this lawyer in front of me is spitting nonsense that I should marry Liistro Clan's youngest daughter Quandra Liistro. For fuck sake she is my lover's best friend and I am gay how could I marry her? I don't care about my clan's properties and legacy I won't marry Jay and I won't give up my love Noha. After all, the papers were collected, our family lawyer voiced, "Sir, it's my duty to inform you another important thing" I frowned and asked in an annoyed tone, "What?" He cleared his throat and said, "Sir, if you don't marry Miss. Liistro, then you will lose your companies and properties too". I raised my brow at him for a second and erupted in a fit of humorless laughter. When I stopped, I voiced in my low deep voice, "Look here Mr. Henry, all this is my sweat and blood. This is not from my clan, this is my hard work. Got it?"
He pulled his nose bridge and replied, "I know it, Sir but could you tell me what is the source of all this? Of course, it's from your grandfather. And about shares" my eyes were wide in terror, and I cut his sentence and said, "I own 50% of shares". He nodded and said, " You are right but the balance of 50% share is now your grandfather's. If you fail his will then not only the clan's properties but also yours will be your uncle's so choose wisely" with that he walked away. My blood boiled in rage how can they do this to me? Don't they want me to be happy ever? I smacked the glass top of my coffee table, threw the glass vase on the floor, pulled all files from the selves, messed up my whole office table and flopped into my chair, and rubbed my face in frustration. I never thought a day like this will ever come in my life. I worked so hard for the last six years to build up this company from the scratch. Many workers were depending on me now. God! Why my life is getting hard and hard every day passes? Mine revive got snapped when I heard my ringtone, I smiled immediately and picked up my phone cause I know who it is. My love, once I attended it his sweet voice filled my ear like honey, "Hey Dan sweet". I smiled a little and voiced, "Hey, Love". He asked, "Is there anything wrong, you don't sound good?" See he could see through me like an open book. I sighed and said, "Yep, love. Could you come to visit me, I wanna charge my battery". He replied, " Of course, see you soon" with that he hung up the call.
I flopped in my seat with closed eyes but soon snapped open them and mumbled to myself, "I don't have time for thinking crap. I should call Jin". With that, I grabbed my phone and called my advisor, after three ring he picked up, "Hey Hot head" I rolled my eyes and voiced, "Hey Jin something came up". He hummed and said, "Shoot". I bite my cue and explained my grandfather's will. After I finished he replied, "Ok I will look into what I can do". I sighed and hummed with that he hang up the call that's when I heard, "what the hell!". I snapped my head towards the exit to see Jay who's with a panicked face. She walked in like she gonna punch me real hard.
Once she reached me, she grabbed my hand, and tend my wound with nagging. Once Noha came she bailed out. Once she closed the doors behind us. Noha grabbed my bandaged hand and asked, "What happened Sweet?" I explained about my grandfather's stupid will and its consequences. He sighed kissed my forehead and said, "It's ok sweet let's find a way. Like always. Hmm?" I know he is saying this to console me but I know how he feels inside. I have been with him for nine years. He never let know others what he feels, he was never open to me. I should force him to speak up to me about his problems. I will easily share anything in my mind with him but I should work hard to get to know him. I pulled him to my lap, tugged his brown strands behind his ear, and said, "Listen to me carefully Love. I will never let go of you unless you want. I love you". He smiles wide, kissed me deeply, and replied, "I love you too". I think I will find a way soon. I call some maids to clean up the mess I made. I took Noha to nearby restaurant while we having delight lunch my phone vibrated. I fished out my phone and saw Jay's msg in GC. It tells all of us to meet in our meeting place. When I chin up I saw Noha too checking his phone so I voiced, "Looks like your bestie came up with a plan like she usually does". Noha nodded with a cute smile and replied, "Think so". I licked my lips and said, "Ok then let's finish our lunch and roll on". He just nodded and dig into his food.
After some more minutes, we finished our food and hopped in our car, and drove to our secret place which is a wooden house on the outskirts of the woods owned by our friend Ryan. When we reach we saw already parked cars which means all were already there. When Noha knocked on the door Kai opened the door and let us in. As expected Kinn, Jin, Ryan, Kai, and Jay were settled in living room. Kinn gave me bro hug, Ryan shake my hand while Jin ruffled my hair. Once we sat down I turned to Jay and asked, "So, what's the plan?". She took a deep breath, looked into my eyes, and said, "We gonna get married as they asked us to". I glared at her and yelled, "What!"
Jin smacked my head and yelled, "First, let her talk. you, dumbass". I rolled my eyes, poked my inner cheeks with my tongue, and nodded my head. She continued, "Jin told us about your grandfather's will that's why I came up with this idea. First, we both gonna break up with our lovers then we gonna send Noha to somewhere far from here then we both gonna marry as our family planned, making them believe that we living happily with one another. Within a year you do whatever to get all your family properties and your own shares from your grandfather then we gonna get divorced and live with our partners". I was speechless after hearing her plan. Not only I but all were.
I pull myself together and asked, "Do you think this will work?" she shrugged and answered, "Depends on our acting skills". I turned to Noha and queried, "What you say, love? I don't think this is a good idea. I can't send you away". Before I say more he closed my mouth with his cute little palm and said, "We don't have choice Sweets. Till all settle please endure it for just a year. For our future together." I kissed him and nodded. He sighed and voiced at Jay, "Ok Chunky, let's do it. What's next". Jay replied, "I have a friend in California, you go and stay with her. She will arrange a job and living arrangements for you. And make a fuss tomorrow at Rizzuto palace about Dan's marriage. After that Dan will break up with you in front of his family" Noha nodded his head. I have this sick feeling about this plan but like Noha said we don't have a choice here.
I turned to Kai and asked, "Kai, Do you ok with all this buddy?". He smiled at me, leaned to Jay pecked her lips, and replied, "I trust my bae. I hope everything will fall into its place after a year". I nodded my head convincingly. Jin patted my back and voiced, "Dan, I promise I will find a way soon to settle everything as soon as possible. Hmm?" I nodded my head at him. Ryan continued, "Dan I will try to get your uncle's shares from my trusted partners. It will be useful for us in future.". I chuckled and said, "As smart as always. Thanks buddy" Ryan winked at me without knowing one of the person's heart will be thumping loudly at his charming gesture. Kai gets attention of all, "Ok all settled, we should get ready for further plan. Before that I want my Bae all by myself for at least a day". All chuckled at his silliness. Jay cupped Kai's face and said, "I have a special plan for that babe" Kai frowned and asked, "What's it, Bae?" Jay took breath turned to all of us, and voiced, "After the fuss Cupcake gonna cause, he gonna fly to Switzerland. I already got a ticket and a place for him to stay with my trusted friend. After marriage, Dan and me gonna go to Switzerland for our honeymoon. Kai Will join us a day after there so we four could spend some quality time together before all this fake game gonna start".
Before anyone says anything Kai pulled Jay for a passionate kiss. Jay moved more in Kai's lap and snaked her hands around his neck and kiss him back like no tomorrow. I always wanted Noha and I want to show our love publically like they do but Noha was so afraid and shy to do so. Ryan scoffed with annoyance at the shameless couples. I know why though, Ryan loved Jay once but never dared to confess to her then came to shameless Kai who used his charm to steal Jay but Rayan never turned his attention to the longing eyes of Jin who loves him from his childhood. Jin huffed and voiced in annoyed tone, "Bitches get a room before my poor eyes get blind". Jay pulled back from the kiss and dragged Kai inside with her. I sighed and turned to Kinn who is so silent from the beginning of this conversation and asked, "Hey Kinn, are you alright? You didn't even spill a word? What happened?". He sighed and voiced with a serious face, "Dan, I didn't like this plan a bit but we don't have better idea Dante Rizzuto marriage is not a small thing even if it's fake you should take care of my sister for a year. If I ever heard or feel you hurt her. I am coming for you buddy. Best friend or not. Understood ?" I know Kinn loves his sister more than anyone I can feel his concern so I grabbed his hands, look into his eyes, and said, "I give you my word, I will take best care of your sister till the last day of her being my wife." He gave his sunshine smile and hugged me and I returned happily with the thought at least after a year we all will be happy. I hope.
