Chapter 5: Rebels Against The King

Ray'ven jolted awake by the sound of the iron door creaking open, notifying her of someone entering the room. Her eyes took in the man who entered with a frown.

He looked like the typical pirate with greasy dirty blonde hair and disgustingly rotted teeth.

He was a fat squat of a man with a rounded belly and too many chins to be healthy. Ray'ven wondered how he could possibly breath with so much fat around his airways. He grinned at her and she nearly vomited at the sight.

"W-who are you? What do you want?" She asked, her voice trembling. She scooted back away from the cell doors as he stepped closer to it, curling away from him.

Strel was still asleep in the cell next to her, tucked against the bars as close to her as she could get.

"What's wrong princess? I was worried about you. I could warm you up and give ya food if you allow me between yer legs." His tongue slipped over rotten teeth as he reached an arm through the narrow bars as best he could. But of course, since his arm was fat, he could only slip his hand through.

He caught her arm and pulled until she slammed against the bars. Those fat lips pressed against her cheek, sliding his tongue over the smooth creamy skin.

"They said ya were submissive." Breath which smelled like curdled milk feathered across her nose from parted lips. "Mmmm, if Ma Cap'n got a kiss, will bitch ya better know what's best and give me yer body tonight, cause tomorrow yer good as dead. I'll put a good word out yer good for at least something. Fuckin'. They'll keep ya longer."

Ray'ven let out a cry of pain as she was slammed against the bars harshly.

She fought against the man as she ran his putrid tongue over her cheek, trying to pull away from him as he spoke such awful words. "Let go of me! Please let go!" She cried. His grip only seemed to tighten.

"Shut up ya prissy bitch. I don't want none of that while I'm fuckin' ya brains out." He unlocked the cell and pushed it open with his free hand.

Removing his grip from her, he walked around and grabbed a handful of her hair, dragging her out of the cage and slinging the princess across the floor.

Her face slammed into the wooden wall behind them. Pudge fumbled with his breeches. "C'mon now sugar tits. Lift those skirts and open those legs."

Strelitzia bolted upright, startled from her sleep by the loud clang of metal. Her eyes were wide as she stared into the next cell where Ray'ven was being manhandled by some filthy pirate.

"Let go of her!" She pressed an arm through the bars to grab at the pirate's leg, pulling at the dirty cloth of his pants only for the loose fabric to slip from his rear. Immediately she released him, her face reddening to an unbelievable shade of red. She hadn't meant to do that.

Cold air wafted against Pudge's backside before he realized he didn't need to remove his pants because someone had done that for him.

Whirling around with his hardened member peeking through his breeches, he grinned at the girl menacingly. "Wanted a view of my ass huh girl? How about my cock too?" He caught her wrist which still remained near the bars and pressed her hand against his erection. "If ya wanted to join ya friend, you just say the words."

The moment the man had turned to Strel, Ray'ven's eyes hardened. Red filled her vision when he grabbed her cousin's wrist and made her touch his filthy manhood. With a grace that belied her, she shot to her feet and was across the cell in the blink of an eye.

She grabbed the back of the man's head and smashed it forward into the bars with all of her strength repeatedly before tossing him across the floor and away from Strel.

He bounced as he rolled to a stop, the sword that had been at his hip falling away. Rage like no other simmered in her veins as she walked towards him, picking up the sword along the way.

Ray'ven would kill him for defiling her family in such a way. She raised the sword with steady hands and swung it down, aiming to behead the piece of scum that was this man.

"Ray'ven, no! " Strel shook her head furiously and reached out for her cousin. She couldn't let her cousin stoop to their level and become like them.

Before her blade could pierce through the pirate's flesh, metal clashed against metal, and sparks ignited as Razmyr's sword glided along Ray'ven's and knocked her arm back. "Get up,"

The captain of the ship hissed and Pudge scrambled to his feet. "I'll deal with you later. Get out of my sight. And you," The corner of his lips curled up into a smirk. "I figured since you were the daughter of my enemy you'd have something up your sleeve. Or should I say skirts? Not the damsel but a fighter. I'm sure your father told you when to walk away from a fight you can't win."

The voice of this man was that of a taunting wolf: low and primal. The cerulean hue of his gaze shimmered, deadly precision surfacing as he inched forward, arm extended so that the keen point of his weapon rested against the center of her own.

"Fight and die and end up with your body parts sent to your father, or return to your cage and know your place as my God damn prisoner. It's enough that you have his eyes. Don't make me remove those first, princess. Your lips I may miss though." He taunted her.

Ray'ven's eyes burned into his, her jaw tightening at his taunts, but she would not give in to them. She had to stay rational otherwise it would risk Strel being harmed as well.

Tossing the sword at his feet, she backed away back into the cell. "The next time one of your dogs try something like this. I will be sure to kill them before you can intervene." She said in a steely tone.

Taking a seat once more on the floor, she grasped onto Strel's offered hands for comfort. She had broken her cover, father would be disappointed to know this. Still, there was much that the enemy did not know about her skills and those she would do well to keep unknown. Razmyr Krestov may be a predator in his own way, but she was Ray'ven Aldain, daughter of Ja'ule and she was far from anyone's prey.

He displayed great relish towards the fiery glance the daughter of Ja'ule Aldain had cast within his direction as she tossed the sword at his feet and stepped back into the cage much like her guise.

Once more she would be locking her true nature behind bars for the woman inside the cell next to her. How close they must be for someone from the Aldain family to lay down their pride. Razmyr wouldn't have given a damn if she tore Pudge's guts from the cavity of his stomach, but not if that interfered with his plans.

She may have been his daughter, trained against the forces of a wolf like a wolf, but he always remembered the way of catching a wolf: his father had once told him, "If you wish to catch a wolf, lay a trap with blood on a sword, and the wolf's own greed would cause it to lick and lick, and lick the blade until its tongue was cut and it'd be consuming its own blood."

He'd left the prison door open for Pudge, knowing he would enter and own up to his repugnant reputation. This woman didn't know exactly how dangerous he was.

The pirate king stepped through the open cell door and glimpsed down at the princess of D'treroh. "Obviously you haven't tasted enough blood. Your mouth still allows you to not know your places." He jammed the hilt of his sword beneath her chin with bruising force and lifted her head.

"You are a long way away from Hedgequill, and I am not one of your lowly servants wench." Unsheathing the dagger attached on the left side of his hip, he flung it until it sank inside Strelitzia's chest. "She'll die if I don't bring my mage Baeron down. You want her to live, I want another apology and another bow. It isn't the wound that'll kill her. It's the poison."

Sinking down, he caught her chin with his own hand after removing the hilt of his sword, then kissed her again. "And now my name is poison on your lips. If she wants you to live, she'll also bow to me and tell me where her fortune is. I'll give you an hour. You might want to be quick. I've poisoned you with Blood Bayne, just a small dosage will poison the blood system within a day. Without a cure, it'll slowly stop blood flow and give a similar effect to the first stages of rigor mortis. Nothing more than a corpse."

Pushing her back, the captain stood and left, the guards locking the cage behind him as he ascended the steps toward the upper deck of the ship.
