Chapter 2: Chapter 2: The first, second and third heroes
Unbelievable to say the least, he was speechless. How had she done it? Yes, he asked. She had been so fast that she had practically disappeared and reappeared. Obviously, this was not the case. However, as his vision had already blurred again, due to the tears he had been shedding again for a few seconds, one of his blinks lasted long enough for the robot girl to jump from the tower and reach him.
"How did you do that?" he asked her, after wiping his eyes with his right sleeve.
"How, you say? With a jump, how else?" having said that, she descended down the window ledge, landing beside him.
She looked into his eyes, for a few seconds, then, without saying anything else, she took his right hand and stroked it. He felt warmth coming from hers.
"See you later, my hero." like that, she turned her back on him and walked away, disappearing from his sight after turning left at the end of the corridor.
"See you later..."
After that, he was led back to the room by the servant, who had witnessed the whole scene.
"She likes you, apparently. Well, after all, she chose you herself, even though you would have been entrusted to her regardless."
"Wait, wait. What do you mean by that? What do you mean I was entrusted to her? Don't tell me I have to be her servant from now on." in the meantime, they had already reached the door of his room.
"Servant?" he smiled "No, no, what are you talking about? Did you not hear what she referred to you as? My hero, nothing more, nothing less."
"Yeah, and you called me third hero instead. How come?"
"Simple, because you were chosen by our king to hold the position of third hero. The one who... No, that's enough, I've already told you too much. The king himself will inform you of the rest. See you later."
With that, the discussion between the two came to an end, and Sat was able to return under the sheets of his bed. He fell asleep within about ten minutes. The last thought that crossed his mind was "What the fuck is going on?"
A couple of hours later, he woke up, having heard a knock at the door. The knocking was the servant he now knew, who informed him that he had been summoned by the king.
He therefore got up from his bed, having the servant accompany him to the throne room, inside which were also his two friends, the young blond man and the young blond woman.
As soon as the three saw each other, the two brothers ran to Sat, who did likewise.
"Gio, Ve, are you all right?!"
The first to answer him was Ve, the female friend "Yes, Sat, we're fine, and you?!
"Me too, but I won't hide from you that I'm worried." he lowered his voice, despite the fact that there was still no one inside the throne room, not even the king "One man, I think it was a servant, seeing how many others there were dressed like him, referred to me with third hero. The robot girl also did about the same."
At this point, Gio replied "Yeah, that happened to me too. Only the woman who accompanied me here called me first hero instead of third."
Both of them turned to Ve at this point, waiting for her to have her say.
"That happened to me too, in fact, apparently, I am the second hero."
Finally hinting at the entrance of the ruler, as well as about twenty other people, were the words of a man, accompanied by royal music, which echoed throughout the room, even making some of the windows shake.
After that, there was silence, an almost deafening silence, which was broken by the authoritative voice of the sovereign, who in the meantime had seated himself on the throne, made of gold, silver and precious stones.
"It is an immense pleasure for me to have all three of you here, our heroes! Unfortunately, however, I will go straight to the point, as there is no time to lose." the king then stood up and walked towards them, visibly intimidated and uncomfortable "Do not be afraid, our heroes, neither I nor anyone else, at least in this castle, will harm you. Having said that, the reason why you have been summoned is very simple." he approached them even closer, until he found them standing in front of him, a couple of steps away "We need your help to protect our kingdom, the kingdom of Faradrar."
Intervening was Gio "From whom, or from what, if I may ask?"
"I was just getting to that." following a nod from him with his right hand, one of the few servants there exited the throne room and returned, but not alone, rather accompanied by a young woman in chains. Not a young woman like all the others, but one with demonic wings, horns and tail, what's more, her skin was more red than pink, somewhere in between, and as for her tail, it seemed to be scaled, although it wasn't actual scales "From your faces, I have reason to believe you've never seen anything like this, am I right?"
