Chapter 2: Chapter 2: Reasons For Refusing To Become A Marine

"Finally an island?"

After saying goodbye to the Sea King who sent him here, and the small fishing boat that was finally broken due to the extreme speed, after two days of sailing, Luffy finally set foot on land again.

As soon as he set foot on the island, Luffy unfolded his Observation Haki, and then the whole picture of the small island was presented in Luffy's mind in black and white.

This kind of Observation Haki seems to be different from other Observation Haki in the original, but it's similar to the Byakugan in Naruto. Luffy attributes it to the changes brought about by transmigration.

It seems that the time is right, on the opposite side of the island, a ship with a Pirate flag is docked on the shore and there, I can sense the breath of a certain person I am familiar with in that warehouse.

"It looks like her bad habit has not been fixed." Luffy said, then walked towards the other side of the island.

...

Five years ago

"Little brat, grandpa is back to see you." Garp, who had heard from the villagers that Luffy was here, shouted at the door of the tavern.

"I heard you, old man." The door of the tavern opened, and Luffy, who was only 12 years old, came out with a barrel about half his height.

Glancing at Garp, who was standing at the door and was about to push the door open, Luffy was not at all happy to meet Garp again after a long time, "Step aside, stupid old man, I'm going to move this to the warehouse!" Luffy said angrily.

"Oh~ alright." Garp said and scratched his head while subconsciously turning to the side to get out of the way.

But before Luffy could cross the door, Garp suddenly punched Luffy's head and said, "Stupid brat, who do you call a stupid old man? Do you want grandpa to beat you to a pulp?"

And just when the fist was about to hit Luffy's head, Luffy took a quick step to the side.

"Huh?" Garp was surprised when he saw this, but didn't withdraw his hand but turned it slightly.

*BANG*

Luffy's head suddenly has a lump, "It hurts, stupid old man!" Luffy said at Garp.

Although Luffy had already awakened Observation Haki and dodge the first punch of Garp, but he couldn't keep up the upcoming punch.

"Call me grandpa, brat!" Garp said angrily and continued, "But you actually awakened Observation Haki? It seems that the old man's training of you in the deep mountains and forest is working very effectively. Come on, brat, train hard so that you can become an excellent Marine."

"You give up, stupid old man, I won't be a Marine. If I get a bounty, then pray that I'm just a Pirate instead of joining the Revolutionary Army!" After saying that, Luffy went to the warehouse next door.

"Hey, brat, what nonsense are you talking about, and how do you know about the Revolutionary Army? Could it be that brat Dragon came to you and told you?" said Garp.

Suddenly, Luffy heard the word "Dragon" from Garp for the first time.

"Dragon? who's that?" Luffy, who had just pushed the warehouse door open, stopped, turned to Garp, and asked.

Although he was transmigrated as Luffy, and knew something about his father, Dragon, and Garp didn't know that he was a transmigrated person. Luffy only saw Dragon once when he was a baby, and he never saw him again. Now that he suddenly heard Garp talking about him, he couldn't help but want to know more.

"Ahh... this... that... you're still young, let's talk about this when you're older, HA..HAHA... HAHAHA" Seeing that Luffy was interested in his father, whom he had never met, Garp suddenly didn't want to talk about it.

"Hmph! then don't talk about it. As for why I don't want to join the Marine? When there are no Celestial Dragons in this world, come and tell me the justice of your Marines." Luffy said and continued, "Also, I heard that three years ago, Arlong Pirates came here somewhere on the island of East Blue, and they ruled a large part of the island villages of East Blue. The villagers of these ruled villages are like living in hell, and in your hometown (East Blue), there is no Marine to inform you? What do you think about this matter, old man?"
