The sun was already high and shining in the sky through the window,
waking up, James looked around, and saw he was still in the same place he couldn't hell but laughed at himself.
'To think I really slept at a place like this, maybe I was a little more exhausted than I thought.' He thought to himself.
Doing a few stretches and little morning workout.
James also noticed that he's body had now adapted to the gravity and heat fluctuation, although it was hot, it was not to the extent he had to worry.
James got up and opened the window, the scene outside was now clear to James, that was because he was too scared and couldn't care about the scene, but now he could get a better view of the place
In front of James, what could be seen was a vast land which was scarce of plant, trees or building, it looks like a deserted with almost destroyed buildings here and there, the closest building to his was about 50meters and the others where about 200 meters or so.
The cloud was scarse in some places and one could feel the heat of the sun which was more than in Nigeria, looking out James could see animals roaming.
"Really, this is feels surreal, to think I can remain calm after seeing this".
'Anyways, let's get out of here first, I think first I need a good bag, I can't just keep walking with this, I need something comfortable to carry '
Turning around James toward the place he appeared from there was a distortion
"It seems the heat waves over there is much, though it looks a ripple distorted space what the hell I'm saying, forget that, I don't even know what am saying about that' James said to himself
but since he didn't understand anything about rifts and space distortion he ignored it.
Looking at the sac, James started moving to look if he could get a good backpack, they weren't any available, so James decided to leave and go toward the top floors to search.
The building was like 'hotel presidential' in PH city in his country but smaller since it had on 16 rooms per floor, he picked up his sac took and started eating a cracker.
Walking cautiously, after searching the few rooms on the 3rd floor, he walked up to the fourth floor, James start going room by room to check if he could get a bag to put his stuff and other things but there were either suitcase or a small bag.
Proceeding to the fifth floor, since the third and fourth was a bust, he noticed all emergency exists were also blocked, he could hear low growls coming from behind the doors but he was not stupid enough to go and search.
'Looks like someone is here maybe, I can ask where the hell I am." James thought to himself, ignoring the sound behind the door he then started searching again
reaching the tenth room on the fifth floor James stopped, since all the time was searching every door was either broken or opened, and he hasn't been able to get anything useful on the last floor, he just thought he would check till he reached the penthouse on the 8th floor.
Seeing the door by his side was closed but not locked, he gently opened the door there
he saw a dead man although felt his stomach churning, because of how the man's gut was lay before him,
even if the man had been dead for some time, he bent toward the side of the body and picked what seemed to be a modified sub machine gun
Looking around the man, he saw the only round of ammunition in his vest, so he took it.
'Maybe it would come in handy later, even if I have never used one before ' standing up straight to leave he noticed that the shoulder of the man's uniform there was a logo of a flower not thinking about it he just left.
After he left that floor and went to the sixth floor, on the sixth floor a similar sight could be seen like that of the fifth floor in a room were two dead bodies, one looked to have been shot allover, while the other was stab in the neck and chest, searching them, James found coins, they were silver coin and a gold coin a paper with a request to capture someone and co-ordinates, throwing the paper away he took the coins.
'I should keep this, it may come in handy later.'
In another room he found about four bodies on the floor, they had a few coins and one also had few gold coins he took them all, not caring what they were used for.
'if this was before I came here I would be happy as if won some kind of lottery with all this coins ' he thought.
They had the same weapons as the first man he saw, but he only took the ammunition, and a dagger, he also took a pistol he saw, he wanted to take the battle vest but left it cause they were damaged, they also had the same logo has the man before.
He started heading toward the stairs, getting close. Walking foward, he felt a cold sensation down his spine causing him to shudder.
"Is it just me or is someone playing an ominous music." James said.
