Chapter 27: Elder Lu Bai
"Phew"
Letting out. a breath of relief I spoke to Shin excitedly
"Shin! We did it! We finally broke through!"
Shin sighed "Yeah we did, now get up we're going."
"Alright. Although I wanna keep cultivating a promise is a promise, let's go"
We both got up and shot through the dense forest, we kept moving until Shin suddenly stopped.
"Hey fumetsu, you don't happen to know where we're suppose to go, do you?"
I felt as if I was enlightened.
"Ahh, since I've come to this world I have barely explored. However Maybe there are some sects near the village?"
Shin rolled his eyes "You see? This is what I meant. You don't even know where things are, you blank slate!"
I felt wronged, but I realized 'Crap, he's right. I don't know anything.'
We shot towards the village and arrived in a little bit.
From afar a old man and a few young men and women could be seen.
I felt lucky "Haha, it seems like there's some sect recruitment right now! If we had come before we had our breakthrough than we would be roaming cluelessly!"
Shin didn't say anything, but looked like he was going to kill me on the spot.
We headed down and came up to the elder without bringing attention to ourselves.
On closer examination the elder was someone in the Soul Formation Realm.
Shin introduced himself which gave the elder and the rest a jumpscare
"Hello, I am Shin and this is Fumetsu, we were hoping we could have a spar with you, and if possible you could direct us to the nearest arena or sect."
The elders body visibly shook, his face looked confused as if saying "How did I not notice them?"
However as a senior he quickly regained his calm "Greetings fellow daoist. I'm the 3rd elder of the Ying-Yang sect, Lu Bai. These are the disciple's of my sect."
He continued "The disciples wouldn't mind having a spar with you after we assess the talent of these villagers, as for an arena or sect, there is our Ying-Yang sect and the Battle domain not too far from here."
Listening to his reply me and Shin looked at eachother awkwardly.
I spoke up "Elder Lu Bai, thank you for the information. However, we wish to have a spar with you, not your disciples."
The Elder looked flustered 'Ahh how could I forget, they could sneak up on me without alerting me, meaning they are on par with me or even superior! to think they look to be in their 20s.'
Before the Elder could reply one of the male disciples spoke up "Huh, Arrogant! You think your worthy of fighting the Elder? Even I, a mere disciple could best you in one move!"
He stepped up and motioned for me to come forward.
I thought to myself 'He's only in the Source channeling realm?
Shin replied in my place in an arrogant tone "Only in the Source Channeling Realm? Too weak, only your elder is worthy of us."
