Chapter 44: Timeskip
Itachi joined Konoha Anbu shortly after his childhood friend left the village, at the beginning it felt odd without Hiroto because both of them spent almost all their life together, going to ninja school at the same time, graduating at the same time, joining the same team.
Itachi soon felt better as Kakashi is captain of their Anbu team and he also Shisui in the same team to show him the ropes. Because of his enrollment in Anbu, his name got popular in Konoha as a prodigy, he didn't let these praises get to his head. A few months passed by without any hitch, but soon shit started spiraling down with the Uchiha clan's reputation starting to soil, next in the clan many elders are supporting a coup d'etat.
During this time, Itachi got a breath of fresh air when his mother Mikoto started Sasuke and Naruto's ninja training but alas the joy is short-lived as villagers' hate and attacks on Naruto increased. Add the villagers' prejudice toward Naruto their regular training schedule got disrupted and Mikoto could only train Naruto a few times a week at most constrained by time. Kakashi stepped in to deal with those attacks, and soon only a few bull-headed ones continued their attacks. Kakashi had to almost stay by Uzumaki's side if he doesn't have a mission or whenever he is free. Luckily for Kakashi most of the time it involves accompanying Naruto to Ichiraku's ramen which got no qualms from his girlfriend Ayame while the same couldn't be said about Teuchi.
During this time Shisui approached Itachi for a private meeting, Shisui went on to explain the summary of the meetings held in the Naka shrine and he also told the newly enrolled Anbu that he will also soon be a part of these meetings. Itachi also isn't completely oblivious to these matters but he listened patiently without interrupting the older one. Shisui explained his decision and said details about his plan to be the Hokage's spies in the Uchiha clan and that he needed his support, Itachi is also against the Uchiha clan's coup d'etat plan so he accompanied Shisui to meet Hokage and his former teammates who are now serving as Konoha's council members at the Hokage's house. Itachi and Shisui agreed to monitor all the Uchiha clansmen and share the report of the meetings held at the Naka shrine. Soon everyone left the Hokage's house and Hizuren couldn't help but sigh at the bleak future of the Uchiha clan because whether they've successful in their plan or failed Konoha will suffer. Hizuren left to drink his woes.

Itachi parted with Shisui and made his way to his father's office which still had the lights on. Itachi shared what had transpired before with his father. After a few moments of silence Fugaku said "Ok, Itachi follow their instructions and share the content of your meeting with Hokage with me. I have got a few clues about who is rallying the clansmen toward coup d'etat, but I still need some time to bring the person in the shadows out. Meanwhile, I will act neutral and curb these thoughts. Don't share what I said to you even with Shisui. And also don't take Hokage's words as law and be extremely careful around Danzo". Itachi agreed with his father's orders and left for his room to try and sleep while his mind is filled thinking about the last statement of his father.

Uzumaki Naruto is currently strolling through the streets of Konoha he had a wild couple of years since his brother left the village. Naruto was ecstatic the day the Uchiha clan's matriarch told him that she will train him along with Sasuke.
Naruto on the first day put everything he has into the training so that his brother will be proud of him. Naruto noticed Sasuke is the same as him and looked at Itachi every now and then looking for praise. But alas these moments are short-lived as some attacked him but Kakashi or other masked ninjas will always save the day.
"Naruto I will train you from now on but I need you to promise me not to use any jutsus I teach you until you become a ninja or when you are in a dire moment" Kakashi said looking at Naruto in an abandoned training ground.
"I promise you Kakashi-nii" Naruto said as started calling all the people around Hiroto brothers or sisters. 'I will surprise you by the time you return Hiro-nii' he said mentally.
Since then Kakashi started training Naruto sometimes he brings Gai along if Kakashi had to go outside the village Shisui or Itachi takes over. If all the Anbu members are not available Anko or Gai will take over his training.
Naruto was taught shadow clone jutsu and other academy jutsus but he struggled with clone jutsu so he was trained on chakra control but even then it didn't succeed. Naruto improvised the jutsu with his own sexy jutsu taking everyone by surprise while Gai remained unfazed so he had to make a muscle variant sexy jutsu which got the taijutsu specialist's nose bleed.
Luckily for Naruto, Kakashi, and Anko being the perverts offered many pointers to Naruto in perfecting the sexy jutsu, and the kyuubi jinchuriki made this jutsu his trump card. Naruto was also made aware that Shisui, Anko, and Itachi are also helping Sasuke sometimes Anko drags Shikamaru and Choji with her to train them. Sasuke is not comfortable with those two but Naruto hit it off with them because of his and Shikamaru's laziness, Choji and Naruto's common interest in food. One day Ino tagged along with Shikamaru and Choji but one training session with Anko scared the young girl away.
Naruto and Sasuke spar regularly with Naruto winning one match while Sasuke wins the next one. Naruto is superior in strength while Sasuke deals with him using his agility.
Naruto was exempted today from training because of the snow but he had to practice his calligraphy for fūinjutsu which he is struggling with. Naruto made a shadow clone and fooled the masked ninja protecting him.
Naruto is wandering leisurely and heard a few voices saying "Freak", he moved closer to those voices and found a group of kids beating down a dark blue hair-colored girl. He swiftly moved to shield the girl taking a punch to his face.
The group of kids are shocked at the new entrant but quickly that turned to hate as they started moving towards Naruto with their fists raised.
Naruto sidestepped and gave a kick to his back, he blocked the other one and punched his face. The last one stopped in his tracks seeing the other two being floored with ease.
All the bullies moved away from Naruto with fear and left saying "Demon". Naruto paid no attention to their words and muttered "Man Kakashi-nii will be pissed if he came to know what happened here". The golden-haired Uzumaki is broken out of his stupor when he heard small sobs. He quickly turned his attention to the girl and offered his hand to her.
The crying girl took his hand and stood up, "Hey your eyes are beautiful. My name is Uzumaki Naruto, what's yours?" Naruto said.
A few seconds passed in silence as the crying girl stopped crying and a shade of crimson covered her cheeks.
"Oh my bad, here you must be feeling cold" Naruto said wrapping the dark blue-haired girl ,removing his scarf.
"Th...Thanks" she managed to say in a low voice.
"My name is..."
