Chapter 17: 17- Solo Mission

Noah stayed in the hot tub for some time before going to his room and straight to sleep.
*The Next Morning*
Noah woke up and decided to walk downstairs to have breakfast with the rest of the squad,
"HEY! Stop drinking all of our booze you drunken witch!" - The first thing Noah heared as he walked down the stairs was Magna shouting at Venessa
"Quite down you loser" - Vennesa
"Who are you calling a loser you drunken witch" - Magna shouted back
"SHUT UP!" - Yami said as he slammed his hand on the table smashing it completely
"OH OH! Fight me captain"
"I WANT TO TRAIN MORE CAPTAIN. PLEASE TRAIN ME"
"Ugh. why are all of these people so loud in the morning. And what's with the meat breakfast every day?"
"Meat meat meat! Make more meat {Cotton creation magic: Sheep Cooks}"
"I SAID TO SHUT UP!" - Yami smashed a wall this time
Noah smiled as he walked to the dinning room. 'I'm glad I got to join this squad'
The squad had their breakfast and everyone started doing their own thing.
A moment later and an owl came through a portal and dropped a letter into captain Yami's hands.
Captain Yami opened the letter he just received
"Noah!" - Captain Yami shouted from the other end of the common room
"Yeah!" - Noah responded from the other end
"IF I CALLED YOUR NAME YOU IDIOT IT MEANS I WANT YOU TO COME OVER HERE"
"Sheesh captain, no need to be so aggressive" - Noah laughed as he went to his captain
"Julius wants you to go to the headquarters. He has a mission for you. Also congrats on making junior first class magic knight." - Yami
"A what now?" - Magna and Luck stopped fighting when they heard captain Yami
"A junior magic knight first class? What is that?" - Asta
"Asta you and Noelle got junior third class" - Yami announced as he read the paper
At this point the common room had quieted down completely
"Yeah but what does that mean?" - Magna
"Magic knights have rankings. Junior, intermediate, senior, grand, and wizard king. Each one of those, except the wizard king rank, is split from first class to fifth class" - Yami explained
"Then what ranking are we" - Luck and Magna asked at the same time
"You two are idiots. You're still junior fifth class" - Yami
"WHAT" - Magna
"That means we're your seniors now" - Noah said with a smirk
"nooooooooo" - Magna shouted as he held his head
"hahahaha, You must've gotten stronger! Fight me then!" - Luck came running at Noah
"I have to go since the wizard king called for me. Finral can you please drop me off" - Noah
Some time later, Noah was walking through the mage headquarters. He arrived at the wizard king's office.
*knock knock*
"Come in" Noah can hear Julius' voice
"You called for me sir?" - Noah said as he opened the door and stepped in
"Yes. I have an important mission for you. There is a town in the noble district where men seem to disappear constantly. All of the men are nobles so the king's council is constantly bothering me with it. I need you to investigate the issue. It doesn't seem to be a big issue. So you'll do this alone." - Julius
"I'll get it done sir" - Noah saluted.
Afterwards a mage from the wizard king unit came and took Noah to a meeting room.
"Here are everything we have about this mission. There is one thing we noticed. Whenever we send a male magic knight they disappear and never come back. When we send female magic knights, they come back without finding anything" - Unit mage said as he handed Noah a file with the paper in it.
"I see. Any reports sent by the male magic knights before disappearing?" - Noah
"Almost all of them had reported tracking everything down to the red-light district of that town" - Unit mage
"I see. So that's why you chose to send a male knight. It seems that only the customers of the red-light district are the ones disappearing" - Noah
"Correct. It seems that only the men get to make contact with the culprit" - Unit mage
Afterwards, Noah had checked the reports sent by the previous knights. In total four men were sent and six women were sent.
After reading everything, Noah went out of the headquarters and made his way to the black market to do some shopping.
Noah bought a face changing magic item. It's an item that lets him change his facial features and hair color. Though it can't change the size of his body. Noah was fine with that since he was tall.
Noah then bought some lower class clothes; plain and dull colored. Noah left the black market and flew towards town of Naso.
Naso wasn't too far off, so Noah was able to reach there in three hours. After getting there he found an inn and booked a night there.
Noah used the face changing magic item and put on a nice fancy outfit. He walked around the town. Noah had changed his face to an average handsome facial features. He changed his hair color dirty blond hair. And his eyes became dark blue in color.
He went to the market area. After browsing around, he made his way towards a fancy restaurant where he sat down and listened to the conversations around him.
Because of his face and outfit, none of the customers paid any attention to him. He seemed like an average noble. Noah sat down and ordered some food.
'It seems like none of them are talking about the disappearance of the nobles. As expected they won't say anything in public. These people would do anything to keep their strong image. Though they're the first to come running when an issue happens. *sigh*' Noah shook his head as he paid for his food and left
Afterwards, Noah found a back ally and changed his face to a black haired man with a rough untrimmed beard. He then put on the common outfit that he bought earlier.
Noah then went towards a more humble side of the city. Then he made his way to a bar.
'If the nobles don't want to talk about it, then their servants might a different opinion' - Noah thought as he entered the bar, and ordered a drink.
Some conversations were dull, some servants complaining about the way they were treated by the nobles they work for and what not.
"Hey. did you hear sir Marcus from house Adolar went missing last night" - Some man in a far corner of the bar whispered to another man
"This keeps happening. My lady had mentioned that many magic knights came and they either failed or outright disappeared. She even said that she suspects some powerful magic knight might come here soon" - The second man whispered
"I don't care who comes here, as long as this whole thing gets taken care of" - The first man said with a sight
Noah kept listening more and more. He was able to find out the names of the last two people who have disappeared over the last 10 days. Other than Marcus Adolar, Luca Ernest was the second person to disappear.
Noah got up and walked back towards the inn. Once he got there he was able to ask the inn receptionist about the location of house Adolar and house Ernest. Noah took off the common clothes, put on his usual outfit.
Noah also canceled the face chaining magic item, and made his way to house Adolar first. He flew for about ten minutes before arriving in front of a mansion. Noah landed outside the their fence and walked up to the mansion's front gate.
"Who are you? What do you think you're doing here?" - One of the four guards stationed outside shouted at Noah
"I'm here on the behalf of the wizard king to investigate the case of the missing nobles. Let the master of the house know that I would like to ask a few questions regarding the case" - Noah
The guard stared at Noah's black bulls robe for a second, "Wait here a moment" - The guard ran inside. A few minutes later Noah was allowed in.
Noah walked inside the mansion. He was led by a butler and walked through a long corridor, then he arrived inside a waiting room.
Noah waited for about two hours before the the current head of the Adolar house came in. He was a middle aged man with an average built. He had dark brown hair with green eyes. He was wearing expensive looking clothes with ornaments covering the outside of the outfit.
"The wizard king couldn't find a more competent knight to send! Is the life of my son a joke?! I demand an apology from you for wasting my precious time. Go ask them to send me a golden dawn member, or even a crimson lion kings. Heck I'm even willing to work with a purple orca but not the black bulls" - Lord Adolar said in a haughty tone and gave Noah a condescending look
"Are you done" - Noah asked in a bothered tone
"How dare a mere-
"My name is Noah Silva of the royal house Silva" - Noah cut him off
"Ugh...I'm sorry your highness. I didn't recognize you" - The guy started sweating bullets as he fell on his hands and knees
"Some audacity you have to keep me waiting for two hours" - Noah said in a demanding tone
"I'm sorry your highness. I had no idea I would be graced with the presence of a royal such as yourself" - The man was shaking, while still on his hands and knees
"You had a lot to say, I'll make sure to remember that" - Noah said as he glared at the man
"Your highness please I didn't mea-
"Enough! You wasted so much of my time already. I have some questions to ask you so that I may get a better understanding of the circumstances around your son's disappearance" - Noah said in an annoyed tone
"Yes yes your highness. Ask me anything" - Lord Adolar

*15 Minutes later*
Noah walked out of the Adolar mansion and used his broom to fly straight towards the Ernest household.
Getting to the Ernest house, Noah asked the guards in front of the mansion to talk with the Earnest household.
Noah was lead by the butler to a waiting room. A few minutes later a tall thin woman with deep red hair walked in. She was wearing a navy blue dress that contrasted with her hair color making her white skin shine through. She had on some jewelry around her neck and fingers.
"Hello young magic knight. I heard you're here to ask some questions about my younger brother's disappearance" - Lady Ernest
"That's true. I'll try to make this quick" - Noah

*20 Minutes*
Noah walked out of house Ernest after questioning their lady.
'Based on the dates, it seems that every five to seven days a man would disappear. Lady Earnest had said that her younger brother used to go to the red-light district once every couple of months or so. But three months ago that changed. he went every night.
The head of Adolar house also said that his son became a regular three months ago. The disappearances however started two months ago. Something or someone moved to the red-light district three months ago and started to kidnap all of those people a month after. But why? There was no ransom requests' - Noah was pondering about this issue.
After getting to the inn, Noah decided to sort his thoughts and send a report of what he found so far to the mage headquarters.
After making a call to the headquarters and explaining everything he found so far, Noah decided to rest for a bit before going out for the night.
'All the men who disappeared so far are nobles. Either someone has a vendetta against nobility. Which is understandable' Noah thought back to his interaction the head of house Adolar
'But it can also be for their mana. Nobles have higher mana level than commoners which can be the reason they're getting targeted. But why only men? Red-light district...maybe a pervert who prays on men? But why would the victims go there every night if that was the case?' Noah kept pondering for some more time.
After Night fall Noah put on his fancy clothes and used the face changing item. All of the men who disappeared so far were nobles. Noah had decided to cover both possibilities. He dressed like a pompous noble. He also suppressed his mana just enough mana to appear to be in the higher level of nobles.
Noah walked to the red-light district. It was a long U shaped street. Noah entered the street through one of the tips of the U. Because of his outfit, the women standing in the street started inviting him to come inside. Each one wanted to catch the rich looking man.
Noah ignored all of them and made his way to the center of the U. The deeper he walked the more luxurious. The women standing outside were more beautiful and wore better looking clothes.
Noah arrived in front of the biggest building on the street. A big fancy sign read "Cottontail"
'This should be the one. Both men were regulars of this place' - Noah walked up to the door.
"Hello handsome. I never seen yo here before" - A woman with long straight jet black hair, she wore black lipstick. Her black dress hugged her tightly emphasizing her curves.
"~Oh~ how do you knw I never came here before" - Noah smiled and said in a teasing tone
"Oh trust me I know everyone who comes here. So are you an all-nighter, or the 30 minute kind of guy?" - The hot gothic woman said with a hint of disappointment when she said the second part of the question
"I want to try different things tonight. So unless I can have multiple women, then-
"Oh what kind of brothel would we be if we didn't offer this kind of service. Come along sir..." The woman grabbed onto Noah's arm and walked him inside the brothel.
"My name is Oliver" Noah said as he allowed himself to be pulled by the woman
After stepping inside she leaned closer to his ears, "We have some of the best whores ever. And you get to do what ever you wan to them, as long as you don't kill them of course, you can fuck a third hole into their asses for all we care" - She said in an enticing tone, like she knew Noah wanted to do that.
"You don't say" - Oliver sounded excited
She walked Noah through the brothel. The first floor was a bar and a gambling den. She took him to a back room where more men where sitting on different tables. On the stage in front of the whole room a bunch of women were dancing naked. "Go on pick any number of them to be your servants tonight" - The woman
"Not interested in the lowly whores. Show the better ones" - Oliver
"Sir these women are our best." -The woman argued back
"You're telling me the Cottontail became the biggest brothel around here with these women?" - Oliver asked in a mocking tone
"You seem to be very smart sir. Then let me take you to a more expensive selection" - The woman led Oliver
The woman led Oliver another room. This one had even less that half of the men from the room before. The women were also dancing on a stage in front of the room. The women on the stage had better makeup, and their bodies looked much nicer.
"What do you say? These are some of the best on the whole street" - The woman asked in a seducing tone
"Not yet. I know this is not your best. If you waste my time, I'll just go to another brothel. Take me to your best women" - Oliver demanded in an impatient tone
"Oh. That would be no good" - The woman pretended to be shocked and took Oliver to yet another room. This time they climbed the stairs and reached the second floor.
The third room was much bigger but it had a handful of men sitting inside. On the stage there were about ten women dancing, this time not naked.
"Now to be completely honest with you sir Oliver, these are the best we have to offer. We have no better than them" - The woman said in a flat tone
"I can tell. Give me the shirt haired blondie and the long haired blondie. Also get me the dark skinned one, and the redhead" - Oliver commanded
"I'll prepare your room right away sir" - The woman bowed before she ran to the back stage area. Oliver found a table to sit on and waited. A minute later the four girls he picked walked down from the stage and walked towards him.
"Hello master. We will take you to your room" - One of the blondies said
"Greetings master" - The other three bowed in unison.
Oliver followed the women through a hallway. As they walked through the hallway, the sound of women moaning and others screaming can be heard alike.
Oliver and the other women reached a room, the gothic woman was standing by the door.
"Welcome sir Oliver. We prepared the finest room for you. Let me know if there is anything else you need." The gothic woman bowed and walked away"
Oliver walked in the room followed by he four women.
Once the door room closed.
{Mana Exhaust} With that chant all four girls slumped to the floor
