Chapter 136: CHAPTER 136: I WANT US TO GO TOGETHER.
She was about to reply to her sister when they instantly spotted Carl in front of the door which leads to the room Maya was admitted.
" Carl, how's Maya, had she woken up?" Clara rushed toward him and asked anxiously.
Carl nodded back to Lily's greeting and then turned to the anxious girl with a chuckle. " Mm. She's up, " he replied then walked to a nearby bench and sat down.
Clara watched the small smile on his face with a frown and then turned to look at her sister who also had her usual calm expression. ' Huh? what's going on.' She didn't have time to linger on her thoughts when Maya's scream suddenly erupted from the inside.
" Maya, what is wrong. " Clara barged inside the room with her sister trailing behind her and then rushed to her friend who was sobbing silently on the hospital's bed.
Her eyes darted to Ken who had embraced her tightly with a cheerful smile and her frown deepened. " Maya?__"
" Clara, you can't believe this, she's really pregnant. My wife is pregnant! " Ken cut her off happily and looked down at Maya with glee.
" P..P..Pregnant!?" Clara exclaimed as her eyes instantly widened. How did this happen? 'Maya is pregnant!?' How could she be pregnant? She splayed her hand on her chest and was lost for words.
" I'm also confused Clara, this idiot literally took advantage of me when I got drunk__ I.. I thought it was a dream, " Maya sobbed as she pushed Ken away who was still smiling widely then turned to Clara who had already sat beside her.
" Geez stop saying that wifey, your friend will think I'm some kind of pervert. You forced yourself on me that night. can't you remember?" Ken chuckled and tried to gran her again.
Maya turned to him with a glare and pushed him away." Then are you calling me the pervert!? Why didn't you control yourself then?"
" Hehehe, how can I resist a gorgeous goddess like you..."
" Ahem." Clara's cheeks heated up as she looked between the shameless couple.
Maya's attention turned to her friend and she slowly held her hands." Clara, what do I do now? my career and... also my dreams... I.. I can't...." she trailed off while sniffing back her tears and Clara sighed then hugged her.
" It's alright Maya, everything will be fine. you don't have to worry about that now. . . besides, you and Ken are already married, " she said softly, finally coming to terms with this sudden turn of events.
Ken also patted her back and hugged her after she separated from Clara. " She's right my love, don't worry. . . and my family won't say anything to you again. I promise... Okay?"
Maya sniffed and hugged him back. But why didn't she see any sign about her pregnancy? this is so confusing. Her eyes darted to Lily who had been standing quietly beside the bed and she sighed helplessly. " Lily, you knew all along that I'm pregnant. right? Is that why you came up with that plan?" She asked softly and watched as the girl nodded with a small smile.
" Clara, your sister is really scary." She sighed again and both Ken and Clara chuckled.
The room sank into silence and Clara watched her friend who was being cuddled by Ken then smiled happily.
" Big Sis, I'll be going back, meet me at the riverside. . . take care, Sis Maya, " Lily said softly then bid them goodbye and left the room.
Clara also stood up after some minutes then held her friend's hand " I'll be off now Maya, Ken, please take care." She bid them goodbye and walked out of the room.
" Baby, what do you want to eat? are you sure you're not feeling any pain? " Ken placed his hand on her stomach and asked softly then Maya rolled her eyes.
" I'm not feeling any pain Ken, I'm just tired." She yawned and lay down.
Ken chuckled and also lay on his side facing her. " Don't say my name. Call me hubby." He stroked her hair and she looked down with a small smile.
" Hubby. . .," Maya whispered after some seconds and chuckled then wrapped her arms around him and buried her face in his chest.

When Clara walked out of the room, her eyes darted to Carl whose attention was on his phone and a small smile appeared on her lips.
" Carl." She sat down beside him and held his arm.
Carl put the phone inside his pocket and turned to face her with a chuckle.
" Feeling happy?" He asked and she nodded, now grinning.
Clara was about to reply when his phone started ringing.
" Excuse me," Carl said and answered the phone with a small frown, wondering why his brother was suddenly calling him.
" Big bro, where are you? It was reported to me that Maggie had woke up. " Zach's voice came from the other end and Carl sighed inside.
" Take care of it, " he ordered curtly and was about to end the call when Zach quickly added.
" Big bro, are you perhaps with sister-in-law? David told me that you went to a province. Did you go there to meet her?" He inquired eagerly.
Carl sighed helplessly and knew that was his main reason for calling him in the first place. He replied with an " Mm." then cut the call.
" Let's go." He turned to Clara then held her up and they walked out of the clinic, into his car.
Inside the car, Carl drove quietly while Clara was glancing at him now and then.
Her sister had told her that Jack would be at the riverside and may probably go back today. She contemplated for a while before turning to face him. " Carl, about Jack. . ." she trailed off and watched as he stopped the car.
Carl glanced ahead and sighed then turned to her." You want to see him?" he asked softly and she nodded.
" I.. I want us to go together, " she said while staring at him expectantly.
