Wow!! Are they all are into the diamond business? I mean your client's children. Is it like a family business for them?".
"I knew you'd kill me with questions." Nathan laughed. I'm not so sure of what they all do though. But two of his sisters are very powerful Lawyers."
"Hmmm, that make sense. I mean considering their brother who is into such business. He's more like a mafia right? And having two powerful lawyers behind him is the best kind of security he need. Anyway, so what's the deal?" She asked having a more serious face.
"Well, they want a live-in Nurse that will be with their mother all through her stay in the country. Someone that will care for her all through. At least, till she return to the UK."
"Why a live-in Nurse? Why can't the nurse visit them at least once - twice weekly. I mean one of them is a mafia. I don't want to be killed or shot dead while living with them. Is she living in the same house with her mafia son?" Paige asked.
"Paige, I never said her son was a mafia. In fact, he's the calmest and most gentle man you would meet. He's not a bad person. Again, they don't want a visiting nurse. Meanwhile they live at Yardstin. That is about a six-seven hours journey. Honestly, this is a good deal. It's just for a period of three months and they pay weekly." Came Nathan's reply.
"Nat, I've got my gift Shop that I'm running on the side. I've got work, I've got my personal stuff. I've literally got my whole life here. I can't just pack up and move to another state." Paige complained sadly.
"Not even when they are paying a thousand dollars a week?" Asked Nat with a raised brow.
"They are paying what? How? That's a whole lot of money!! Who pays their staff such amount for a week?"
"The Kentleys. Why don't you google their name. You can read them up fbefore making a decision. We'll conclude on the matter by Thursday. That should give you enough time to decide right?" Nat asked.
"Nat, a thousand dollars a week is about $4,000 in a month and approximately $12,000 - $15,000 in 3 months. How is that even possible? It sounds too good to be true." Paige said ignoring his initial question.
"I know. I already did the math and the money is more than encouraging. You could buy a House you know." Nathan said smiling broadly.
"I'll think about it this evening. How much is your cut?" Paige asked. Of course, she's not dumb. She knew Nat must be getting something from the deal.
"They'll pay me 8k for helping them find a reliable hand. That's the cut I'm taking. Mrs. Kentley was formally my Dad's Patient God bless his Soul. After he passed on, she contacted me and pleaded that I continue from where my dad stopped. That was how she became my patient too. So you see, I've been close to the family for a while now. Incase you're in doubt."
"Awww, that's so nice to hear. So, they're paying you 8k just for your help? Damn, there is so much money in this country. These people must be so fucking rich. Nat, Thank you so much for seeing me worthy for this opportunity. I am so grateful." Paige said in hushed tone.
"That's fine Pee. Let me know your decision on time."
"I sure will. Thank you so much. I'll just leave you to continue with what you were doing. See you later." Paige stood up and left his office after bidding her goodbyes.
