The graduation passed, and a day after that all the genins that passed the graduation gathered in the classroom.
"Yo! Ohayo! Shikamaru! Chouji! Ino!" Naruto greeted as he went inside the classroom.
Naruto chatted with Shikamaru and the others and a little while later, Iruka arrived.
"Alright! Everyone take your seats! I'll be assigning your genin teams for today. Team 1.... Team 4... Team 7 - Jounin assigned Hatake Kakashi, Members - Uzumaki Naruto, Uchiha Sasuke, Haruno Sakura."
"Geh!" Naruto said as he looked at Sasuke while Sasuke also looked at him back with battle intent in competing with during missions
Naruto sighed as he saw the battle intent in Sasuke's eyes while he stared at him.
"Team 8... Team 10 - Jounin assigned Sarutobi Asuma, Members - Yamanaka Ino, Nara Shikamaru, Akimichi Chouji." After a while Iruka finished assigning the group and said "That's all the teams! Beginning today all of you are official ninjas.. But you are merely genin. The hard part has just started.

Many hours later...
The only people left in the classroom are Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura.
"All the other teams have gone off with their Jounin-sensei yet we're still here waiting. and Iruka-sensei also left... What's taking our sensei so long..." Naruto conversed with Sasuke and Sakura
"Yeah... What's taking our Jounin-sensei so long." Sakura chimed in replying to Naruto's murmur
"..." Sasuke just stayed quiet but silently agreed

As this was happening the door to the classroom opened and a white haired ninja came in and scratched his head "Sorry, sorry. I saw a black cat on the short path so I had to take the long path. Then I met this old lady lost so I guided her and then..."
Kakashi made up a ton of reasons and finally said "and finally reached my way here."
Naruto facepalm and said "Sensei... You know how ridiculous you sound right?"
Sasuke just looked at Naruto and then at Kakashi, while Sakura just nodded at Naruto's statement
"You... have a point. well... albeit late, follow me outside and let's begin with some introductions and instructions about our next mission." Kakashi said as scratched his head walking outside.
The three followed Kakashi in reluctance.

At the rooftop of the academy, Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke were sitting down on the floor whereas Kakashi was leaning against the railing
"Ok... Let's begin with some introduction. Your likes... dislikes... dreams for the future, hobbies, stuff like that..."
"Sensei? Why don't you introduce yourself first?" Naruto said as he yawned
Sasuke quiet as usual as he looked as emo as ever
while Sakura nodded in agreement to what Naruto said
"Oh... me? My name is Hatake Kakashi. I have no desire to tell you guys about my likes and dislikes. Dreams for the future? hm... well, I have a lot of hobbies...."
Naruto looked at Kakashi in disbelief and said "How is that an introduction?"
Sasuke and Sakura also looked at Kakashi silently agreeing with Naruto
"Well... enough about me and start about you guys. start from the right." Kakashi said as he again scratched his head
"Although that barely counts as an introduction, I'll introduce myself properly to make an example. My name is Uzumaki Naruto. I like ramen. What I like even more is becoming stronger. What I dislike is being weak. My dream is to become the strongest so I can have a peaceful life so that no one can threaten my peaceful life." Naruto answered seriously as he made an example unlike Kakashi's introduction.
'Hoh... Reaching for the stars huh... But with his talent and bloodline, I guess it's not impossible... He's grown in an interesting way...' "Hobbies?"
"Beating the shit out of Sasuke." Naruto said as he pointed at Sasuke
Sasuke looked at Naruto and said with menace "When did you beat the shit out of me?!"
"Um... Like... Everytime?"
"You!" Sasuke said as he jumped towards Naruto whereas Naruto backflips to dodge "Hehe... Just kidding. Don't be so angry Sasuke" Naruto said as he wraps his arms in on Sasuke's head
"Get off me!" Sasuke said while he used his arms to push Naruto away
"You're no fun."
Sasuke just snorted in response
"Alright alright. You're next." Kakashi said
Sasuke put his hands together looking emo as usual "My name is Uchiha Sasuke. There are tons of things I dislike, I don't really like anything. And... I don't want to use the word "dream" but... I have an ambition. The resurrection of my clan and... to kill a certain man."
"That's... not me right?" Naruto said as he looked at Sasuke
"I can add you to the list if you want." Sasuke snorted as he looked back at Naruto
"No thanks." Naruto replied with disinterest.
Kakashi looked at Sasuke with a casual look as he thought 'I thought so…' and opened his mouth to say "Okay… and lastly, the girl."
Sakura was startled a bit and replied "M-me…?" then blushed introducing herself while looking at Sasuke "I'm Haruno Sakura, the thing I like is… well… the person I like is… um.... Should I say my dream for the future… Kyahh!"
Kakashi sighed as he thought while looking at Sakura 'Girls of this age are more interested in love than ninjutsu…'
Meanwhile Naruto's eyes twitched and whispered to Sasuke "Hey, Sasuke. Your fan girl is a bit crazy."
Sasuke looked at Naruto as a sweat dripped down his head while he nodded silently agreeing with Naruto.
Kakashi continued "What about dislike? Do you have any?"
Sakura got a hold of herself and looked at the sky "Hm… not anything in particular."
"I see… then that's enough of that. We will start our duties tomorrow." Kakashi replied, marking the end of the introductory conversation.
Naruto smiled in interest of his first mission and replied "What kind of duties? Sensei?"
Sasuke looked at Kakashi in interest as well, while Sakura was sweating a bit because of nervousness.
"Well… First we are going to do something with just the four of us."
No one interrupted, knowing Kakashi still had something to say.
"Survival training."
Naruto just tilted his head in confusion as he heard what Kakashi just said but they kept quiet and Kakashi continued "I'm your opponent, but this isn't normal training."
"What kind of training?" Naruto asked in curiosity and Kakashi laughed creepily in return "He he he…"
Sasuke just looked over wondering why Kakashi was laughing so Sakura asked with a bit of nervousness "What's so funny? Sensei?"
"Well… When I tell you this you're definitely going to flip."
"Flip?" Naruto asked
Kakashi continued with a bit of an intimidating voice "of the 27 graduates, only 9 will be chosen as Genin. The rest will be sent back to the academy. This training is a super difficult exam with a failure rate of over 66%!!"
Sasuke sweated a bit and Sakura had a face that looked like it lost color and Naruto smirked and said "That's more like it. But sensei? What was the graduation to become a genin all about if we will be sent back anyway if we failed?"
"That's surprising I thought you'd flip, I guess one or two sometimes won't make a big deal out of it. Well… to answer your question, that was merely to select those that have potential and give them a chance to become an official genin." Kakashi replied with a bit of surprise initially but continued to explain.
"What??" Sakura yelled in surprise recalling all that hard work they did might just be all for naught if they fail.
Kakashi stood up from sitting in the guardrail and brought out a piece of paper out of his pocket "Anyway, tomorrow you will be graded on the training field. Bring all your shinobi tools. Skip breakfast too, you'll throw up."
He handed Naruto the paper "The details can be read on this printout. Don't be late tomorrow."
Sakura put her hand on her head as she screamed in panic "Throw up?!?! Is it that tough?!?!?!"
Naruto gave the excess printout to Sasuke and Sasuke handed over the last printout to Sakura. Naruto read the printout

[The First Official Genin Mission!]
[The Three Genins in the team, Uzumaki Naruto, Uchiha Sasuke, and Haruno Sakura will fight against their Jounin instructor.
The Three should arrive at 5:00 AM in the training field.
In the time of the Mission, they will fight against a strong jounin to test their capabilities in preparation for actual missions.
The three shall do their best to fight against their Jounin instructor to the best of their abilities in order to showcase their abilities and usefulness in their missions in the near future.]

"A hint for you guys, A ninja must see through deception. Well then, I'll see you tomorrow. " Kakashi said goodbye with his usual eye smile and disappeared.
Naruto glanced at Kakashi who disappeared and continued to ponder the meaning behind Kakashi's words and smiled as he noticed it 'How can you call this deception when you mention teamwork in like every sentence of this printout?'
He looked at Sasuke who crumpled the paper and Sakura who looked at the paper with full determination and sighed as they didn't even notice such a simple thing.
Sasuke looked at Naruto in confusion as to why he sighed and asked "What?"
"Well… I'll tell you tomorrow." Naruto replied.
Sasuke just nodded and Sakura looked at them in confusion
Sasuke sees Naruto as his rival no matter how he denies it and gives Naruto a certain level of trust.
Sakura… well… she's pretty dumb.
