About what drives an author...

There are good stories and bad stories.

Readers might like bad stories and despise good ones, even.

It's all a matter of taste and understanding.

But some stories have blurred lines between one and other, and why is that?

If an author has an amazing story (you're the ones to tell if mine is or not), readers expect it to be long and have a steady update frequency.

But what if the author is new to it, and ends up facing issues that keep him from writing and releasing chapters sometime?

I've seen readings rocket up when the author is releasing the chapters every day.

And plummet down when they announce a break, for whatever reason they need.

And I get it.

I really do.

The biggest fear of a reader, is to have an amazing story left unfinished because the author dropped it for whatever reason they had.

But have you, readers, ever thought that the other way around also occurs?

That the biggest setback for an author, is that he takes a break, and suddenly the readings stop coming, and they feel like their story never mattered to begin with?

My words on this are that not all support must come in the shape of power stones or collections.

Most of the readers' support to the author, comes in the shape of them keeping reading their story, even though the author took a break, because we all know that real authors don't do so if they don't need to.

Because they love writing, and they love to give their stories to you.

So...

Think about it, and if you feel like it, go back to reading that paused story you left unread because you were too afraid that the author was going to stop writing it.

Because if you keep at it, chances are that the author will see how much you miss them, and maybe even come back sooner than they told you.

Or even if they come back just when they said they would, they'll be rejuvenated, and ready to shove chapters down your throats, because they'll know.

They'll know that you love their story.
