Immediately after that call, MHT-BN sent me a PDF file of their formal invitation, with logo and signature of the Corporation CEO. The letter also offered a code to avail of the plane travel and another code for a hotel reservation. It's that quick.
I didn't respond yet. Meanwhile, the Rugged-Under-the-Shower pic already gathered 2M likes while the others also reached 1M plus likes. With that viral photo, it managed to lift my other earlier photos to hundreds of thousand likes, even my younger and earlier photos were not spared with flattering comments.
Nichole, who seemed to act like my unofficial and unpaid manager now showed to me her laptop displaying the strengths of the two Philippine Networks. MHT-BN has fewer ground stations but relies on satellite feed while PBN relies on its network of tall broadcast towers to establish a wider coverage. MHT-BN has a bigger financial portfolio and has greater market share of 42% while PBN has 40%. Other 3 other networks constitute 18%. The fans of the two networks appear to be loyal to each network that there's a fan warfare between the two.
"Aren't you going to call the networks?" Nichole said. From now one, I'll refer to her as Chloe, because that's how she calls herself.
Anyway, I didn't call the networks but a few hours later, PBN called again.
This time, they were a little firmer and professional in tone. They also offered the same package of bringing me to Manila with hotel accommodations and a wardrobe for free for about a month for being a model and a role in their upcoming TV series Olivia del Cielo. It sounds oddly like the offer of MHT-BN's Mary Celeste. This tells me that these offers are serious. To top it all, they managed to get the address of Cynthia Basilio and also messaged me of the same.
"Tanggapin mo na kaagad (Grab it quick!). Ngayon lang ako ki-nontak ng ganito after yung mga pictures mo naglabasan sa Instagram at sa FB, (this is the only time that they contacted me because of your pictures in IG and FB)" in an almost desperate sounding Cynthia.
I looked at my parents who were looking at me struggling to decide between the two. My father, who is a big guy of no-joke proportion too said that between the two networks, PBN appears to spend more time to talk to him while MHTBN just sticks to sending him messages. Since that makes sense, I said to Cynthia and to the PBN that I will choose them. I gave an e-mail response to MHTBN a letter declining their offer but added, "I am still however open to the possibility of working with your network in the future" of that type.
Immediately, PBN ordered me to go to Manila at the soonest possible time.
Meanwhile, a lot of men were already having viral shots of them taking shower. Some even posted videos. There are some of them trying to outdo the original.
