Chapter 6: Meditation

Ezekiel's mind was consumed by his father's words, "We will make another one if things went wrong."

The phrase was spoken with an air of confidence, as if it were a solution to any problem.

But to Ezekiel, it held a darker meaning, one that made him question the nature of his existence.

He couldn't shake the feeling that his parents had made him a test subject, an experiment in their quest for perfection.

And he wasn't the only one. Nathan, his younger brother, was born after Ezekiel, was killed even before he could do anything.

Ezekiel's thoughts drifted back to his childhood, and he remembered the pressure he felt to be the best.

His parents demanded excellence in everything he did, from his grades to his hobbies.

And when he fell short, they would express their disappointment and tell him to do better.

It wasn't until got reincarnated that Ezekiel realized that his parents' demands were unreasonable.

They had created an impossible standard that no child could meet. And when Ezekiel inevitably fell short, they had simply decided to try again with Nathan.

The more he thought about it, the more he realized that his parents' actions were cruel and selfish.

They had treated their children like objects to be manipulated and discarded if they didn't fit their ideal.

' I killed their hope, he was not just a son to them, they could never feel something like that with us, we are their achievements and I killed theirs ' he thought.

But now, as he looked back on his first life, he could see the truth for what it was. He was disposable to them, just another experiment in their quest for perfection.

It was a bitter pill to swallow, but it also gave him a newfound sense of freedom. He no longer had to live up to their expectations or try to please them.

He could be his own person and forge his own path in life.

His parents had planned to take him to the facility where they worked, where they could know for sure if he had supremacy.

He discovered a while ago that something was not normal about him.

The energy that had been tickling inside his veins was not just some random sensation. It was magic, pure and unbridled.

He had the power to cast spells and do whatever he wanted with it. It was a revelation, one that filled him with wonder and excitement.

In this world, magical ability was not uncommon. Most people awakened their powers at the age of six, and then underwent training and education at one of the many institutions of magic.

But Ezekiel was different. He had awakened his powers much earlier, without any guidance or supervision.

He remembered his mother talking about the process of awakening magical powers, about how it was closely monitored by the institutions of magic.

However, Ezekiel had skipped that process entirely, and now he was ahead of the curve.

It was a strange feeling, knowing that he possessed this incredible power, yet also knowing that he had no idea how to control it or use it.

' Still, if I hide it in a good way, I will survive, they will not be able to know about the energy, and they will not confirm whether the melting toy was a sign of supremacy or just a random thing that happened just for one time'.

Ezekiel had always found solace in his alone time. It wasn't until much later that he realized that what he was doing was meditation.

He found that when he closed his eyes and focused on his breath, he could hear his thoughts clearly and without distraction.

It was in these moments of quiet contemplation that Ezekiel felt truly connected to himself.

He didn't dare do this when his parents were around, only in the supposed solitude of his own room.

Even then, it wasn't easy to tune out the constant noise and chaos that surrounded him.

His mother's blaming, his little brother's laughter, his father's yelling - all of it was a constant barrage of noise that he had to learn to filter out.

But as he persisted, he began to feel something else. A strange, almost tickling sensation that pulsed through his veins.

It was like an energy that his parents had always feared in him, but Ezekiel couldn't help but be fascinated by it.

He traced the sensation from one part of his body to another, watching as it grew stronger and more intense.

As time went on, the energy became more powerful, and Ezekiel began to feel a sort of power grid inside of him.

It was strange and unpredictable, constantly shifting and changing. But even as it grew more complex, Ezekiel couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder.

' Now, I could see what they are talking about, I have a small idea about what is this power, however, I feel it so deep in my body that makes it very impossible to control it '

His parents were so busy at work, it seemed to him that their occupation here was much higher than it was on earth,.

However, they kept work very distant from their private life, at least that's what Ezekiel thought.

While Ezekiel kept busy knowing his inner energy, he was still unable to control it .

One day, his mother carried him up fast. He was asleep after a long time of meditation. He couldn't know what hour it was but he knew that it was night, in fact, it was late at night .

"I am coming Stewart ...I am coming ," His mother said.

His mother was gentle when she did that considering his state as a baby, however, Ezekiel woke up very afraid, he was still traumatized from the night when his mother woke him up that way while scratching his face till he bled.

He didn't cry but his heartbeat increased so fast.

" Hurry up…we have to hurry up…" His father said .

It was then when Ezekiel realized that he was in a deep mess, it was the day he feared for the past months, they were planning on doing it today.

He thought that maybe they were going to need more time, even though he thought that they would try to buy some time before going serious with this.

However, this only gave him one more confirmation, his parents were thinking the same way they thought on earth, they were horrible and they were going to do whatever they needed to do for themselves.

Ezekiel started to cry when they were descending the stairs, he was crying loudly, it was the only card in his pocket to save himself from what was going to happen to him.

Ezekiel thought that by crying he was going to drag more attention to them at this late hour.

However, his parents were not even conflicted because it felt like they expected that from him. His father put his hand on his face and started to whisper something and as a result of that he just started to feel numb in his tongue , as if he injected some anesthetic into his mouth.

Ezekiel couldn't cry out loud anymore , and then he started to think of something else…
