Chapter 5: CLOSE YOUR MOUTH, SON!!
MRS LOGAN'S POINT OF VIEW.
We were still in the sitting room waiting for Scarlett when we hear a sound like a slap or something. I, Bryan and Ryan rushed toward the bathroom,
we get there only to see a maid crying and begging Scarlett for forgiveness as she held her face.
"I am sorry ma'am, I don't mean to bump into you, please don't let them fire me!! this is where I feed my family from. "She cried, as she held her cheek in pain.
"I can't believe you are this wicked, you slap her just because she bump into you by mistake, and you even threaten to sack her for that!!" Ryan yelled and Scarlett look up in shock.
"I swear, it is not what you think. "Scarlett tried to explain but Ryan walked to the maid on the floor and help her up.
I watch as Ryan took the maid away in so much anger.
"Follow me, Scarlett. "I finally said before walking away. I look at her lightly and I shake my head. I am very sure Scarlett can't do that!! I am also a woman and I know when a woman like me is faking or real.
I opened the door to my room and she followed me behind nervously.
I enter the bathroom and set her a nice bath, I gestured for her to enter.
"Believe me, ma'am, I never slap or bully her. "She said trying to control her tears, but the stubborn tears betray her and they fall freely.
"I knew you did not do it Scar!! move into the bath and freshen up. "I said cleaning up her tears with the back of my hand.
"You believe me?" She asked in shock.
"Yes, Scarlett, I am a woman, I knew when other women were faking or real, I'm sure that maid made it up, but don't worry I won't let it slide. "I said and pull her into a tight hug. I disengage a few minutes later then, I pull her into the bathroom.
I walked out of my room and walked toward the sitting room.
I sight Bryan and Ryan ( my husband and son) sitting on the couch, before I get to them, Ethan enters the sitting room and handed over a flash drive to Bryan.
"This it is sir. "Ethan said, bowing lightly.
"Thank you, Ethan. "Bryan collected it from him and then fix it on his device, while Ethan walked away.
Bryan press some keys on his laptop, and then, what happened at the entrance of the guest toilet an hour ago started showing.
We watch the way Scarlett walked into the bathroom, and then, a maid came out with a bucket of water.
She drops it beside the door and Scarlett came out of the guest toilet.
The evil maid blocked her path but Scarlett tried to pass the other side,
but that maid blocked her way again. Scarlett tried to walk past her but that evil maid pulled her back by her hair and then, she send a sounding slap to Scarlett.
"What the hell!!" I said before facing the screen again.
That evil maid carried the bucket of water and pure it on Scarlett, just when Scarlett raised her hand to slap her back, the maid go on her knees and started faking hurt, and that is when we walked into the scene.
Bryan pauses the video and faces Ryan in anger.
"Ryan, when will you learn? you hurt your wife-to-be because of an ordinary maid!! I told you early that your word toward her is too harsh even if she beat that evil!!" Bryan yelled while Ryan look away.
"Your wedding is not up to a week, tell me is that how you will believe outsiders over your wife!! I am so disappointed in you!!" Bryan yelled at him.
"It is okay love, let's leave Ryan's issue beside us and face that maid that is trying to destroy our family with her cunning behaviours. "I said giving Ryan a disappointed look.
"That is true. "Bryan agreed.
"I need to go and check on my wife. "I said and leave the sitting room for my room.
I opened the door to my room and I was so surprised that Scarlett is not yet out of the bathroom.
I walked toward a wardrobe beside mine and I brought out a red dinner gown. I place it on the bed and then the door to the bathroom opened and Scarlett walks out gracefully. Just as I always thoughts, she's the prettiest young lady I have ever seen.
Scarlet's point of view
I walked out of the bathroom after spending some time cleaning up. I saw Mrs Logan putting a cloth on the bed, she turn immediately after she acknowledge my present and a wide smile spread across her face.
I looked away shying as her eyes scan through my body.
"Don't be shy daughter, come on, let's get you to dress. "She said pulling me toward the mirror and gesturing me to sit on the chair in front of the mirror, while I did as she say. She picks up a hand dryer and started drying my hair gently.
"Thank you, ma'am. "I muttered happily. She's the first woman that shows me what love is, she takes care of me more like my mother does. I don't think my mother pick a comb to comb my hair talkless of a dryer.
"Why did you always wear heavy make-up and baggy dress to hide your beauty?" She asked with a little smile.
I smile as hot tears rolled down my eyes,
my mother has never asked this question before, they never care about my feeling once. I can't believe I will get the love I can't get from my real parent, from my mother-in-law.
"It is okay if you don't want to talk about it, I understand. "She added clearing my tears.
"No, ma'am, I just feel emotional because no one has ever asked me that before. "I said with a sad smile.
"Oh!" She muttered as she turn off the hand dryer.
"I always put on a baggy dress and heavy make-up because I hate the lustful attention I always get from men. "I said
"You know you can't hide your beauty forever, right?"She asked and I nod my head.
"Promise you will change after you get married to my son. "She said
"Promise. "I muttered and she pull me into a light hug.
She disengaged from the hug a few seconds later and started performing some magic on my body, she was done a few minutes later,
and now, I was putting on a short red dinner dress which kiss my body perfectly well.
"Now you look more like a goddess of beauty. "She said and kiss my cheeks and I blush very hard.
"Thank you, Mum. "I muttered.
"You are welcome, daughter. Let go, it is getting dark. "She said and pull me out of the room.
We walked to the sitting together, and I saw Ryan and his father sitting in the sitting in a separate couch,
Mr Logan was watching a programme while Ryan was checking the time on his wristwatch.
Mr Logan and Ryan look up immediately after we step our heels on the stairs.
Mr Logan looked shocked a bit but he quickly put himself together and flash me a light smile before turning his gaze back to the TV.
But Ryan looked more shocked than his father. His eyes were wide open same as his mouth. He scanned me from head to toe with his eyes as if he was mentally undressing me.
I feel so uncomfortable with his gaze on my body, which Mrs Logan did not fail to notice.
"Close your mouth son, and take her back home, it is getting dark already. "She said with a wide smirk.
