Chapter 27: Ch. 14 Part 1
On the day of Lin Yu'an's departure to the county, he took Yu ger and the kids to the docks to find Butch and Olive. Olive waved with enthusiasm seeing Lin Yu'an walking towards them. "Dr. Lin you've arrived" Olive said with vigour. "Did i make you wait long?" Lin Yu'an asked apologetically as he shook hands with them. "No. We also arrived not long" Butch responded to his question with a friendly smile. "That's good then, thanks for taking us along" he said politely to them.
"There's no need for thanks between us, Dr. Lin the relationship between us is that of business cooperation and a doctor-patient relationship. Dr. Lin doesn't have to be polite with me" Butch stated with vigour, Lin Yu'an nodded to his words. "Ah doctor Lin won't introduce us to his family?" Olive asked lively as he glaced behind Lin Yu'an. Yu ger stood behind him trying to reduce his presence with the kids clinging to both his legs. He had heard about Lin Yu'an being able to converse with the foreign merchants, witnessing it himself he was awed and his admirations of Lin Yu'an soared up more. Lin Yu'an turned to pull Yu ger and the kids closer to him grinning from ear to ear.
"My wife Yang Yu and my twin Lin Li'an and Lin Luo" he introduced warmly with a bright smile. Butch and Olive were stunned and intrigued seeing this side of him, they saw him to be cold and closed off distancing himself from others. Lin Yu'an was cold to them all the times they've met, they didn't think that he was cold to only them because they were foreigners. Olive had witness several times his attitude towards doctor Xia and others so he ruled out the possibilities of Lin Yu'an not liking them.
They couldn't help but think that Lin Yu'an was just cold to everyone who was not family, his warmth towards his family was real. It was very shocking to them in many ways. "Mrs. Lin it's a pleasure to finally be able to meet the wonderful partner of Dr. Lin" Olive sold points and flattered with no shame stretching his hand to Yu ger. Yu ger stretched his too and did what he saw Lin Yu'an doing earlier, they both pulled away after shaking. Butch stretched his too and Yu ger shook. Lin Yu'an felt it was funny seeing Yu ger imitate his actions calmly looking like it was something he was used to.
"Nice to meet you Mrs. Lin" Butch politely said, Yu ger turned to Lin Yu'an with his eyes pleadingly asking for help. He had an aggrieved and confused look, Lin Yu'an almost snorted and quickly covered with a cough smirking lightly. "He doesn't understand" Lin Yu'an explained to Butch and Olive sparing Yu ger of his embarrassment, Butch and Olive nodded in understanding. Butch helped him carried the camping back he was holding to the boat as they boarded the boat.
The backpacks on Lin Yu'an and Yu ger's shoulders they were familiar with since Lin Yu'an had been wearing it to visit them when he was treating Butch, but the new bag he brought along this time piqued their interest but they made no intentions to ask and just looked at the bags with a little bit envyness, it would be great to get their hands on such a convenient bag they thought. It took them about 10 minutes on boat to where Butch's fleets were docked, a ladder made with rope knotted together was released to them to climb up the deck. Butch and Olive climbed up with the kids followed by Yu ger and then Lin Yu'an.
Butch's crew members excitedly came to greet him when they climbed onto the ship. "Captain you're back!" a bulky looking man greeted loudly with relief seeing Butch. "We wanted to come search for you not hearing from you or Olive for weeks. Captain told us not to worry but how could we not, that bastard Jack I'd kill him over and over! Thankfully the translator came back a few days ago to inform us about your situation, we were only able to wait patiently after hearing news of your health" the bulky man runted on about and sneered when he called the name of the man who gave Butch the cut.
Yu ger and the kids looked at them and listened curiously even though they couldn't understand a thing, they were just curious about the foreigners and they way they all looked friendly and intimate with Butch and Olive. Lin Yu'an paid no heed to them just focused on inspecting the cargo ships, the ships were far worse than the ones from his era, he came to conclusions after inspecting enough.
"It's alright, I'm okay now thanks to Dr. Lin who treated me." All eyes were on Lin Yu'an just after Butch announced, the crew some scrutinized and others had looks of bewilderment having a had time believing that such a young boy was able to treat such a big cut. "Captain aren't you mistaken? He looks no older than me, might be the same age" a young man who was the youngest amongst the crew members asked with questioning look.
"Don't be rude to my benefactor!" Butch scolded sternly making the crew members shocked seeing him defended Lin Yu'an and frowning at the young crew's words, what happened to their captain? They had question marks. "What captain says is the truth, it was Dr. Lin who sew the cut close and treated captain back to health and I was a witness to that. Or do you take me for a blind man?" Olive said with a smiled which didn't reach his eyes, the crew shook their heads scared "you're to treat Dr. Lin with the same respect as the captain, anyone who refuses to do so will be thrown off deck...do you believe when i say I'll throw you off the deck?" they all nodded, no one had the courage to talk back at the second captain, Olive smiled brightly seeing that his words got to them loud and clear.
"Okay that's enough, set sail we're heading to Dongluo the closest county to this town, go to your posts now." Butch ordered, the crew turned back their attentions to him dumbfoundedly. "Now?" one of the crew asked and he nodded, "captain you just came back, we should celebrate your recovery. And besides it looks like you're not completely healed yet, you're slightly pale" the bulky man added.
"We set sail now, no delays. I'll be fine after I take the medications given by Dr. Lin, don't make me repeat my words again and go take your posts now!" Butch instructed impatiently, the crew scattered leaving the translator and the young man looking about one or two years younger than Lin Yu'an. "Matt anything more to say?" Olive asked seeing his focused and not gentle gaze on both Lin Yu'an and Yu ger.
"You" he pointed to Yu ger, Yu ger looked behind himself thinking the young man was pointing to something at his back. "You're those third genders right, lady-man who can give birth. So disgusting!" Matt said and he turned to spit out a non-existence saliva, a hard blow landed on his face in a sudden throwing him to the floor groaning in pain.
Butch "!!!!!!!!!?!"
Olive "!!!!!!!!!!?!"
Some crew members "!!!!!!??!"
Yang Yu "!!!!!!?"
No one saw when Lin Yu'an made a move not until Matt was thrown to the floor, Matt laid back down confused and dizzy. Butch and Olive were stunned dumb looking dazed at Lin Yu'an who climbed unto Matt, Lin Yu'an grabbed Matt by his colar and started to rain down blows on his face without a word. Matt tried to fight back but he couldn't muster up any strength after the first blow, so he decisively brought his arms to his face trying to shield his face from Lin Yu'an's blow.
His actions were futile, "Brother Yu'an don't hit he'll die" Yu ger cried out seeing Lin Yu'an suddenly beating Matt, he didn't know what happened or what Matt said since he couldn't understand the language they spoke. He could tell that Matt must've said something offensive about himself seeing how Matt pointed at him with disgust, Yu ger felt warmth in his heart seeing that Lin Yu'an was beating to defend himself. At the same time he was scared with how Lin Yu'an was thrashing seemingly to kill someone, Lin Yu'an's look and aura now terrified himself.
Butch and Olive were brought out of daze, they rushed to Lin Yu'an to get him off of Matt, looking at Matt's situation now he might actually die if Lin Yu'an continued to thrash. Olive thinking he was strong grab Lin Yu'an's shoulder but before he had time to pull he was shoved hard and harshly falling back, Olive was shocked and so was Butch and the crew members who saw and run to the scene.
Olive couldn't understand what happened blaming it to lack of concentration, he was overconfident in his strength. He stood up from the floor and went again to pull Lin Yu'an, Lin Yu'an stopped hitting Matt and turned sharply to Olive, he sent a very heavy blow to Olive's stomach "pufft" Olive spat out water and fell to the floor unconscious.
Butch "......."
Crew "....."
They were once again shocked and bewildered, at this time Butch knew that the situation wasn't good and wouldn't end well if they try to use force. More like they were all terrified at the demonic look of Lin Yu'an who was giving off a ghostly feeling now with blood on his beautiful and handsome face making him dazzlingly, and also none of them didn't want to end up like Olive and Butch who wasn't in good health didn't even want to approach again. He decided to use the only solution he could think of and that was the person who was involved in the current situation.
