Chapter 15: Chapter 15: A Supernatural Battle
As Caspian's consciousness faded, he managed to get a glimpse of Abby's figure. Her hair glowed as bright as gold, and her eyes, fueled with rage, turned sharp, like the might of the king of the jungle.
"You're all… DEAD!"
As Abby screamed, she gritted her teeth, baring her sharp fangs against these almost unkillable figures. She then rushed toward the figure that was holding Caspian and swung her fist.
The impact was so immense it sounded like someone had fired a sniper rifle. The figure's body spun in the air as Abby clawed them, ripping off their head and stomping on it.
Caspian had trembling eyes as he saw that; confusion filled his mind, and pain enveloped his body. His eyes turned dim as his consciousness faded.
As Abby turned back to Caspian, her eyes were teary as she angrily stomped on the ground to propel herself toward the other figures.
"Shit! She's a beastman! Release your full power!" The leading figure shouted as all of the figures started ripping off the masks they wore.
Then revealed creatures that looked as if they were people disfigured hundreds of times to form a horrifying mess. The leading figure was a man who had bright red eyes and an arrogant smile on his face. "I didn't know there was a beastman! We even thoroughly investigated you!"
The disfigured creatures rushed towards Abby in a frenzy, revealing sharp claws as they tried to claw Abby. The other deformed creatures were shooting Abby, but Abby just took it head-on.
The bullets did damage her, but it wasn't effective enough as the wounds on her body instantly healed and pushed the bullets out. She even managed to deflect some of the bullets with her claws.
They eventually ran out of ammo, so they discarded their guns and started to claw at Abby, wanting to rip her apart.
However, they were unable to touch even Abby's hair, which made the leader of the group slightly nervous.
Abby's eyes glowed once more as she sped toward the leader and gave a strong punch. Seeing this, the leader showed extreme reflexes as he managed to dodge the blow, but Abby followed with another attack which he only managed to block after exerting all his force.
Abby suddenly appeared right in front of the leader after he got knocked back and said, "You lesser vampires really are stupid. You can't even distinguish the disparity between our strengths."
His arms were heavily bruised as he gritted his teeth. He then screamed, "KILL HER!"
Abby looked back and saw ten of the figures rushing at her. Abby instinctively dodged all the attacks sent at her as she whispered, "Fucking vampire minions…."
"HAHA! EVEN IF YOU'RE A BEASTMAN WITH INCREDIBLE PHYSICAL PROWESS, YOU CAN'T BEAT TEN MINIONS AT ONCE!" The leader hysterically laughed as his red irises glowed brightly as he bared his fangs.
"You know I'm only using the first transformation, right?" Abby said as her hair became longer and thicker, like a lion's mane. Her ears disappeared and were replaced with what seemed to be a lion's ears. A tail surfaced behind her.
"W-what?" Seeing this, the leader was in disarray. "Wait, that's right, the vials!"
The leader then hurriedly grabbed a vial out of the utility belt and bit into it, crushing the glass and drinking it along with the liquid contained within it. The liquid looked similar to blood, but it was darker and had a bright yellow tinge to it.
His face then turned slightly brighter as if some sort of burden was removed from him. His body bulged a bit, making it larger. With a grin, he hurriedly joined in the fray of attacking Abby.
Abby's eyes were sharp as she instantly noticed the change in the leader. 'After drinking that vial, he seemed stronger…. I must deal with him quickly and report this.'
Abby then started attacking with stronger intensity. Her combat prowess was solely based on her instincts as of now, and she dodged almost all attacks, and aside from a few scratches, she had no other injuries.
But after the leader joined in, the burden was a lot more. After gritting her teeth, Abby grabbed one of the minions and used it to block the incoming attacks while piercing its head with her hand.
She then swung the minion's body to knock back her assailants and immediately crushed its head.
"Ten more bastards to go," Abby whispered as she ran towards the minions on all fours at high speeds. She then stretched out her claws and started ripping off the flesh of her enemies.
"AGH! ENOUGH!" The leader shouted as he rushed toward Caspian. Of course, Abby noticed immediately and didn't hesitate to rush up to the leader with anger in her eyes.
Her eyes glowed once more as her hands and legs started to morph into lion paws. She clawed the leader's face with a strong force, lacerating it.
"URGH!" The leader screamed in pain as blood spurted out from his wound. He held his face tightly as he commanded his minions to block her as he retrieved Caspian.
The minions instantly followed suit, but Abby's prowess was unstoppable as she started lacerating their necks and ripping their heads off their bodies, causing a bloody mess.
"YOU!!" The leader exclaimed as he confronted Abby with his full strength. After drinking the vial of blood, his prowess was strengthened further, but it wasn't enough.
He then grabbed the last two vials from his utility belt and threw them in his mouth. After chewing the painful glass and swallowing it, he wiped his face as the wounds he had gotten from Abby earlier instantly healed.
"You're dead now, beastman!" The leader furiously shouted.
"What the fuck did you drink!?" Abby was shocked. She knew that lesser vampires had weak healing when damaged by a supernatural being's attack and needed about two minutes before the wounds healed, but this healing factor was the same as a true vampire's healing.
"None of your business!" He angrily shouted as he lunged at Abby. Abby gritted her teeth as she blocked the attack, wounding her arm in the process. She then thought, 'Even his attack can compare to a hald-step greater vampire! I need to fully transform!'
Abby breathed deeply as she grabbed one of the minions' body on the ground and used it to block the leader's attack. She then locked his arm in place and kicked him along with the body to knock him back as far as she could.
Seeing that their distance was a good amount, Abby's whole body glowed as her human features completely vanished, revealing a mighty lioness.
"FUCK!" Seeing this, the leader instantly knew that he was in grave danger and tried to escape, not bothering to grab Caspian.
However, whatever he tried to do was futile. Even though he has the strength comparable to a half-step greater vampire, it is only temporary, and he was up against a pure-blood beastman, who was in her strongest form, so he could only turn his tail and try to escape.
Abby did not let him get the chance to escape as she lunged at him, latching unto his arm with her sharp teeth. The leader screamed in agony, but he could not shake Abby off.
With a trace of insanity on Abby's face, she started chomping down her enemy, tearing him to pieces. The leader screamed as, despite him healing completely over and over again, he was still mauled repeatedly by Abby.
After a while of useless struggle, the temporary power-up he received ended, his life along with it as Abby tore him to small scraps.
After a while, Abby morphed back to her human form, and beads of sweat appeared on her face. She was exhausted as she didn't expect that she would have to use her complete transformation. She was also completely naked as her clothes were completely torn to shreds after the transforming

In an unknown office, Grace sat as she conversed with her subordinates. Suddenly, they felt a wave of pressure surfacing, causing all of them to turn their heads.
"Captain, there's a high-intensity supernatural energy!" One of the figures exclaimed.
"Let's go immediately!" Grace commanded as she and her team headed out. Grace then thought, 'This is Abby's energy… someone was able to force Abby to use her full transformation!'

Abby sat down near Caspian with tears welling up in her eyes. She then wiped the tears as she stood up and carried Caspian, blood covering her body due to the intense bleeding Caspian had.
"Please, stay alive!" Abby whispered as she started walking toward the abandoned hospital. She had to tend to Caspian's wounds, or he would die due to excessive bleeding.
She then let him lie on one of the tables and started extracting the bullets from his body using her claws. Her eyes were full of tears as she hurriedly removed the bullets.
After a while, she finally managed to do it, but it was not time for relief. The huge wound was bleeding a lot, and Caspian's liver was ruptured.
Abby no longer knew what to do. She knew that they wouldn't make it to the hospital in time since they had no vehicles. Not only that, but even if they arrived, Caspian would've been unsavable as his liver had been ruptured for a long time and would've already contaminated his blood.
She then held Caspian's hand as she said, "I-I'm sorry, cap, for disobeying your orders, but this is the only way!"
Abby then extended her arm and positioned it right at Caspian's mouth. She then forcefully inserted Caspian's fangs right into her arm.
Her blood dripped down Caspian's throat as she started to bleed, and a bloody aura loomed over Caspian's body. "Please…! Caspian… please awaken…!"
Caspian's body suddenly started to jerk and spasm. His eyes opened in one motion, and his hazel eyes trembled in a dreary daze. It then slowly churned as it changed color, from hazel to blood-red, to gold.
A force then emanated and slightly pushed Abby back. She couldn't help but say, "Such a strong force! Is this even a half-blood's awakening?"
The wind churned as the glow on Caspian's body, but a shockwave silenced the whole area. Caspian, whose body was riddled with holes, suddenly started morphing as his skin seemed to contract. The wounds on his body quickly disappeared as if they were superficial wounds.
"This…!" Abby's face was colored with shock.

"This aura, an awakening is happening…!" Grace said as they rode the car at high speeds. She couldn't help but bite her lip in worry, "Caspian…!"
