Chapter 35: Shadow skills

I said while huffing, I am really tired.
Every part of my body is aching.
I think I overdid it.
I followed the previous physical training schedule Terra created. I got to say it's really effective.
Now time for the Shadow heart implantation.

After a god damn hour which felt like an eternity, this hellish torture stopped. I checked my body around to see if there were any changes but didn't find any except-

I have two hearts which beats simultaneously, this sounds, really weird like really ugh... how should I describe it? anyway, you understand right.

I have already thought of a weapon, and it is not a sword, it is.... Chained blades.
Yeah! The same one shown in God of war, I really like this weapon, it can be used for both long range and short range attacks.
I only need to focus on offence, I can always buy an absolute defense skill from system shop or have one of my shadow soldiers protect me.

A pair of blades appeared in front of me connected by an extendable chain. The Blades' chains would stretch out for a set distance with each attack, allowing for fluid movement no matter who wielded them. It didn't have much of a decoration, a simple black coloured hilt and silver coloured blades which reflected light, connected by a dark black chain.
...Beautiful.
I don't know if I am talented in them, but I really want to use them.

Hmm... these abilities are too overpowered, not that I am complaining.
Now the last and best one, 'Shadow soldiers'.
I took a deep breath and muttered the name of the skill-
' Shadow Summon '
Instantly a dark violet fog leaked from my forehead and spread around me at ground level. Exactly hundred figures appeared from the mist on the ground and bowed down to one.
I walked towards the one nearest to me and took a closer look. My eyes widen at the realization that struck me. I again inspected him from head to toe..... he is an Orc. It's my first time seeing one.
" Stand up."
All of the hundred shadow soldiers stood up. Now I can get a better look at them.
Darth, I think that was his name. He has a muscular body and a tall height of 10 feet, two half circles of white colour one below one on right side of his chest, connected by three straight red lines. On his back, a strange red coloured engraving was carved like a flame symbol, occupying his whole back.
Other ninety nine shadow soldiers were all of Yogolueme race, they looked like normal ones, no eyes, sharp teeth and average height of 5.5 feet.
Master was one of the main participants of war, meaning he must have used his skill to resurrect the Yogolueme race people. As for Darth, he must be from 'Arcana World'.

Darth doesn't have stamina, health and mana stats.
Since Darth is a shadow soldier, he has limitless stamina and health stats are not shown because any damage received by a shadow soldier will automatically repair with the help of the users mana. As for not having mana stat, I think Orcs of 'Arcana World' use Aura instead of mana, that must be the reason.
But how can an Orc which is dead use Aura. As far as I have read an Aura is a manifestation of an energy from every fiber of a being.
I should ask master.
' Master, I have a question.'
' What is it?' A groggy voice rang in my head
' How can a shadow soldier use energies other than the mana?' I asked curiously.
' Shadow soldiers' have a unique trait, which helps in converting raw mana from the surrounding to their own mana or energy.'
Hmm... understandable.
Now that I have checked everything, time to go back to training.

After 35 days.
" Huff..... I should huff.... take a break."
In the past 35 days I trained my body to the limit everyday. I love this feeling, every time my stat increases, my body feels lite and a strange comfortable feeling spread throughout my body. Not to mention, that after every intense training session my mind becomes extremely calm. Seriously, I will become a training maniac at this rate.
I need to be stronger, much stronger than anyone else. I will be facing the whole Yogolueme race alone afterall.
If I don't stop them, the whole Earth is doomed for. The destruction caused by the Yogolueme race at the last war is still fresh in my mind. And all the killing I did. I must have lost my mind there, I could have made a different choice. Sigh.... no use regretting it now. It will be hypocritical of me to say this, but I benefited a lot from all that.
Anyway, my family is safe and that's all that matters for now.
