Chapter 17: Spring has arrived
(Shiori's PoV)
(Two weeks ago)
"He is late..."
I sighed as I closed my stall, and took Guy-sensei's poster from the display.
Maybe something important came up?
Well, now that I got Guy-sensei to teach Naruto, he will become a different level of absolute beast. Naruto has the best stamina, physical strength, and taijutsu potential in the verse.
Well... I just have to make sure that he doesn't try to copy his 'Youthful' ways...
"Ramen Uncle, please pack some new ramen for me and Naruto."
"Of course!"
I sat down in his shop, watching him make ramen.
"Say... Can you teach me how to cook when you are free?"
"Hmmm... How does Saturday afternoon sounds?"
"Thank you, Ramen Uncle."
"Hahaha! No need to thank me!"
A smile formed on my face as the pleasant smell of ramen entered my nose.
Honestly, I have become sick of eating rice and egg dishes. There is no wheat in the Land of Fire. And I guess I will have to adapt to non-veg food in this world, since there aren't many options here.
I don't understand how fanfic guys eat rabbits on their missions...
Sigh... even though I have asked Guy-sensei to train Naruto, I am not sure if I will join him. And even if I will, I don't know if I will be able to keep up training. Well, there is no point in not trying atleast.
Sigh...
"That's quite a sigh for a child."
I looked to my left, to see Hiruzen sitting in the shop.
"Yo, old man."
"What happened?"
"Did Guy-sensei get an emergency mission or something?"
"Yeah. He had to leave immediately, so he couldn't inform you."
I see...
"Say old man. If I can't use chakra, can I not even use fuinjutsu?"
"Well, you will have to use another source of chakra. Though it is not common knowledge, the Second Hokage did try to use fuinjutsu without chakra."
Oh? I wouldn't put it past him to try that, since he probably didn't have as much chakra as Mito and Hashirama. And he knew about nature energy due to Hashirama being a sage.
"So, was he able to?"
"Evidently, yes. You know, Guy can't properly mold chakra to use ninjutsu or genjutsu."
... But wasn't he able to summon a turtle.
"But your condition is different from him. He isn't able to mold chakra properly, but he still strengths his body with chakra. Which you can't. But, he can summon a turtle with just his blood."
Summoning jutsu huh...
"Second Hokage developed the summoning jutsu that doesn't require chakra. Though it uses something that has enough chakra for the summoning itself. So, you would need to use as much blood so that it contains enough chakra for the summoning. It wastes a lot of blood, it is inefficient, and powerful summons can't be summoned this way."
Oh...
"What is a summon?"
"..."
I am still a three year old kid.
"You will learn about it in the academy."
"But I want to know. The books in the library about shinobi are going to end one day. Can I start learning this fuinjutsu thing that the Second and Fourth Hokage are said to be genius in?"
"Hmm... Only if you do something for me?"
Oh?
"What do you want me to do?"
"You and Naruto will meet me once a month atleast. And tell me about what you saw in your dreams."
"Oh? That's all? It's easy!"
I will have to be careful what to say to Naruto then, otherwise Hiruzen will notice something.
"Hmm, here's an introductory book then."
Hiruzen handed me a book, 'Fuinjutsu for Kids I' , by Tobirama Senju, which was also titled as the textbook for the first year of the academy.
Perhaps Hiruzen saw my face about being handed academy's textbook instead of something special, he started laughing.
"Hahaha! Don't make that face. I also studied from the same book. It is written by the Second Hokage afterall."
"Thank you, Hokage-sama."
For some reason, Hiruzen went silent for a few moments.
"Your order is here."
RamenGuy handed me the ramen delivery, and to Hiruzen as well.
500 Ryo huh.
"Thank you, Uncle Ramen."
He smiled back at me, and started preparing ramen for another customers.
"Then I should go too. I have some paperwork left."
"Yeah, old man."
"...Haha!"
I stared at Hiruzen's figure getting smaller and smaller as he went back to the Hokage Office with suspension. I eonder why he started acting weird?
Oh well. I can atleast start learning fuinjutsu now.

*knock knock*
Huh? Who is.... zzzz...
*KNOCK KNOCK*
"IT'S JUST 4 IN THE MORNING!"
I yelled as I looked at the clock. Who the heck is banging my door so early!?
I yawned as I got up, and opened the door.
And a Green Beast was at my door. Or was it Green Beast?
"SPRINGTIME OF YOUTH HAS ARRIVED!"
Oh... Spring has arrived.
