As he realized that he had not yet prepared their meal for the day, he quickly stood up and headed to the kitchen to start cooking. Lily, who had noticed this, followed him.
While cooking, he glanced over at his granddaughter who sat in a chair nearby, watching him he asked. "Lily, can you make the screen appear whenever you wanted?"
Lily nodded and replied, "Yes grandpa, I just have to think 'status' to make it appear."
"As everyone seems to have that screen, are you not curios about what it has?" he said at his granddaughter to make him not get bored while he gonna continued cooking their food for tonight.
As Lily nodded agreeing easily and quickly checked her 'status'.
After finished cooking their food, he called out at Lily that it was time to eat, thinking of exploring the mysterious screen afterwards while sat down to eat.
As they ate, Lily talked endlessly about her findings with her grandfather. "The screen shows the numerical values of my Rank, Strength, Speed, Stamina, and Charm," she said. "However, for Mana and Luck, there's no number. Instead, there's a message that says they can be unlocked under certain conditions."
Nodding thoughtfully about what Lily was talking but thinking more about what will happen to the economy by the appearance of this 'system'.
For the reason he's calling this screen as 'system', well it's more easier.
Lily stopped eating and said, "Grandpa, I feel like there's a sense of urgency. But I don't know what to do," sounding anxious as even it shows on her expression.
Reassuring Lily with words, "Don't worry too much, Lily."
As they finished their meal, her grandfather nodded in agreement and stood up to gather the plates after they finish eating.
"Alright, Lily, it's time for you to go to bed. You need to be fully rested for school tomorrow," her grandfather said, seeing Lily was still thinking about the matter earlier about feeling anxious.
A while late Lily's nowhere to be seen in the kitchen, and being the only one left. '[Status]'

As the tremors grew stronger, realizing it was an earthquake. He stumbled on the way to Lily's room, but quickly regained his footing and hurried inside.
When he reached Lily's room, he found her sleeping peacefully. The earthquake had also stopped. Breathing a sigh of relief and quietly left the room.
'Why were there so many events that happened in my life today? I nearly died from a heart attack, and then an earthquake occurred that wasn't forecasted by the media.'
The earth began to shake violently once more as he was considering carefully closing the door, causing him to trip and cling to the door handle for support. He turned to look in the direction of a blood-curdling scream that resounded throughout the home; the sound was so unearthly that he started to wondered whether she would have a shorter time to live.

"Fuck!" The word escaped his lips before he could stop it, a visceral reaction to the sight before him. Lily was jolted awake by the blood-curdling scream, and her heart raced as she stumbled out of bed to see what had happened. Fear etched across her face as she took in the scene before her.

"It's going to be okay, Lily," she whispered, holding Lily close as she drifted off to sleep in her arms. She couldn't tear her gaze away from the message on the screen in front of her, but she tried to push aside her own fears and anxieties to focus on comforting her grandchildren.

"This…" he muttered to himself as he looked around, trying to make sense of what he's seeing right now not knowing he stopped comforting Lily who's already sleeping soundly.
His chest started to feel heavy. He asked himself, "Is this really that novel?" A memory of a book he had read before being brought to this realm suddenly popped into his head. He exhaled, "Humanity After the Catastrophe." The tale had revolved on an inheritor who was tasked with preventing the appearance of mysterious portals known as the 'gates'.
The prologue marked the beginning of the protagonist's after the '3rd Catastrophe' happened, a world where humanity had been given a chance to survive by a mysterious 'System'.
But what they didn't know was that the System had abandoned them after seeing they had survived, leaving them halt their improvements since they needed to defend their planet against the 'Demon King' who sought to harvest the planet.
Which they succeed on depending but at the cost of their '10 Pillars of Heroes'.
After remembering them but first concentrating on the screen and asking, "What class should I take from this?," silence descended upon the home.
