Chapter 97: will you get lost on your own?
As Xua Ying Yue headed towards the post office to send the camera to Doctor Li, she saw a public bus in front of the bus stop. She paused and took a look at the setting sun before pursing her lips, if she continued on her feet then she was sure that it would be late by the time she was done with work. She turned on her heels and then headed towards the public bus stop but just as she turned around to enter the door of the bus, she was blocked by three hooligans, they smiled viciously at her while looking at her with a sly glint in their eyes.
" Little girl, are you going somewhere?" The one in the lead smiled at Xua Ying Yue.
" I am, are you going to drive me there?" Instead of panicking Xua Ying Yue calmly asked as she looked at the hooligan in front of her, she did not even let out a single scream as she looked at the three men who were stopping her.
Seeing her acting so calmly, the boss who had taken the lead was stunned. He originally wanted to tell Xua Ying Yue that it was better for her to follow them without a fuss but why was it that before he could even spit those words out, the young woman in front of him was already taking the initiative to come with them?
This was something that had never happened before, and because of this sudden surprise the boss did not know how to continue, it was only when his underling nudged him in the back did he snap out of his daze and cleared his throat as he said, " You better not think of running away and come with us silently."
" I have been standing silently from the beginning, the one who is making a fuss is you guys," Xua Ying Yue blinked her eyes as she tilted her head and spoke to the man who was threatening her. " Did you see me scream?"
" You b*tch——" the boss was so furious that he wanted to slap the girl in front of him but he was stopped by his underlings who pulled him back and then said, " Boss Liu, you cannot hit her here."
As the underling on the left side spoke, he tipped his head to the people who were watching them, when Liu Sui saw that a crowd had started to form he immediately growled and then snapped at the nosy people as he said, " What are you looking at me? Do you want to come and have some tea with me as well?"
Liu Sui was a known ruffian of the M city, many people have suffered under him which was why when they heard his threat the crowd which was looking at Xua Ying Yue and the thugs immediately parted, though they sympathized with what was happening to the young girl, they also had families, what will their family do if they were targeted by such a thug?
When Liu Sui saw that the crowd had left he turned to look at Xua Ying Yue and smiled lewdly, "Nowhere to hide anymore little lady."
" I was not hiding from the start," said Xua Ying Yue causing Liu Sui to be stumped he wanted to say something to the young woman in front of him such that she will start crying tears of terror but she was so calm that it made him think that he was the one who was getting kidnapped.
Liu Sui looked at his two lackeys and then turned to glance at Xua Ying Yue before saying, " If so then what are you waiting for? Come with me!"
He reached forward and then grabbed Xua Ying Yue's arm as he dragged her towards a dark alley. When the man reached to grab her arm, Xua Ying Yue narrowed her eyes as she noted down the arm which Liu Sui had used to hold her before she pursed her lips and then allowed herself to be dragged forward.
On the other side, Zou Zeming who came out of the ice cream shop dropped the vanilla cup which he was holding in his hands and looked at the young girl who was being dragged by three thugs.
"What's the matter with you?" Yu Manran was stumped when he saw that Zou Zeming had dropped his ice cream. " Have you lost your mind? How can you drop that ice cream? It's three yuan each."
" Here," Zou Zeming distractedly pulled three yuan bills and threw them at Yu Manran before looking left and right at the street and rushing ahead in the same direction as the three thugs. He only came here because of the bookstore to find the book which was written by his favourite writer, he did not expect to see something so shocking!
" Hey, where are you going? Zeming!" Yu Manran was stumped when he saw Zou Zeming running in the opposite direction from which they came.
" You can go ahead," Zou Zeming told Yu Manran as he walked towards the other end of the street.
While Zou Zeming was running to save the damsel in distress, the supposed-to-be damsel was looking at the thugs in front of her calmly and took out a small umbrella from her bag. Seeing her pull out an umbrella, Liu Sui was amused as he tittered lightly and then said, " Young woman, I will suggest you give up. There is no way you will be able to get away from us now."
" Oh," Xua Ying Yue said as she pulled the tip of the umbrella causing the fabric-covered canopy to fall on the ground as she revealed a sharp-edged baton which was brimming with electricity.
She raised her head and looked at Liu Sui who looked stumped and said without the slightest flicker in her voice, " We will see about that."
A smile slowly formed on her lips as a wild glint appeared in her eyes as she added, " I have been looking forward to making use of this thing, thank you for your commendable service."
