At least, the game system congratulated the devastated players who were eliminated from the elite team trails this early but the Bogeyman…, this bald haired coach was like he couldn't wait to get over them.
He had an intense look on his face like he was thinking about football tactics.
After the eliminated players made their way out of the Estadio do Arruna, the Bogeyman finally addressed the players that were part of the winner bracket.
"Congratulations to all of you for qualifying to the next phase of the elite team trials, it shows that you at least have some form of talent for football".
"Before announcing the format for the 2nd phase of the elite team trials, it is important that I inform you of this".
"Every phase of the elite team trials is like an information gathering stage to us. After the first phase, we were able to gather a lot of information which influenced our decision to change the format a bit".
"The elite team trials no longer involve 4 stages till completion, it's now just 3 stages to determine how many among you can become pro players".
"As for the format, if I call the first phase of the trials the 5-man games, I call this the 8 man game of one-touch football".
"If you're intelligent enough, you would have deduced that this format means that 2 players from the 50 of you cannot participate".
"I'm sorry, the least 2 performing players can't go on".
"You have been eliminated".

The Bogeyman's intense expression remained the same. "If you hear your name, kindly do us a favor and leave the stadium".
"Charlotte19, please leave the stadium".
"Endriam, please leave the stadium".
"…" Endrick felt his heart leap to his throat.
The first part of that name almost gave him a heart attack, it was only when he heard the crackling sounds of a tightening fist close to him that he looked.
This player had veins popping all over his face, he was angry.

"You crazy coach!" The player exploded. "How dare you tell me that I'm one of the least performing players?!"
"I'm clearly one of the best!"
"Are you blind?!" He roared.
The Bogeyman responded by snapping his fingers.

To the shock of the others, this player disappeared.
"…" All of them felt chills crawl down their spines.
The Bogeyman turned to look at the beautiful female, Charlotte19 bit her lips. "Thank you for this opportunity, it really opened my eyes a lot".
"I appreciate it".
She turned around and left the stadium.
Clap!
The Bogeyman clapped to attract the attention of the other players.
"Now, congratulations to all 48 of you for making the cut again".
He rubbed his bald head. "The rules for the 2nd phase are simple. Before knowing the rules, first you have to know how many of you will qualify to the 3rd phase of the trials".
"Only 22 of you will qualify".
"…" The players felt tense instantly.
"Real football is a game of 11 players on both teams. I should tell you this ahead of time, the 3rd phase will be the first official football game played in Unity and it will be broadcasted not just in the game but across Brazil".
"If you want to be a part of those 22 players, give your best".
"Also, 22 players qualifying means that only 2 goalkeepers will go on ahead. Before the games start, those who feel they can be goalkeepers among you should come out and you will be chosen according to undisclosed metrics".
"Do not worry, none of those players eliminated had good enough talents to shine as goalkeepers".
The Bogeyman took a step forward as a virtual projection appeared before him depicting only one half of the football pitch and one goalpost.
"The 8 man game will utilize only 1 part of the pitch and 1 goalpost. It is a game of one-touch football, once the ball hits the ground after touching you once, you are not allowed to touch it again until another player touches it".
"Touching it again after hitting ground while the ball is yet to hit another player will lead to a yellow card, doing it again will lead to another yellow card and remember, 2 yellow cards makes a red card which eliminates you from the game".
"There are no teams here, just categories of 8 players".
"You have no teammate, and your only goal is to put the ball into the back of the net. The criteria for field player qualifications is goal".
"The players with the highest number of goals qualifies".
"This may make it seem like it's biased towards strikers but it is not. To those aspiring to become defenders, prove your skills here, anticipate, intercept strikes, make the ball your own after winning it and score one-touch goals".
"Afterall, defenders score goals too".
"As for the goalkeepers, your metric for qualifying to the next phase of the tournament is to save as many balls as much as possible".
"The 2 goalkeepers with the best save ratios will qualify".
"This time, every game lasts a total of 60 minutes, 30 minutes each half".
"You have 20 minutes to prepare for the game, the 2nd phase of the elite team trials starts today. During this time, those aspiring to become goalkeepers should come meet me to see if you make the cut".

Endrick's face was a mix of grave and excitement as he looked at the evaluations. "This guy, Enigma is a beast".
"He played only 1 game but not only did he manage to score 12 goals, he also managed to give 3 assists in one game. F*ck man, I wonder what type of player he is".
"I want to be in the same category as him but at the same time, I want to stay far away from him so I can qualify to the last phase successfully".
"I hope we all get placed in the same category". Maria202 rubbed her palms nervously.
In no time, 20 minutes was up, the different categories were revealed.
