Chapter 43: Granny's Stories
'knock knock knock'. Granny turned when she heard a knock on her door. She smiled knowing fully well it will he Xiao Li.
"Coming in my dear." She said.
Xiao Li entered and excitedly sat on the bed. "Granny I'm here."
"Oh my sweet child, you look so excited to hear granny's story." Granny said with all smiles.
"Yes granny." Then she popped her cheeks. "Du Lixin asked me not to come, saying your stories are torments. "
Granny rubbed her head softly. "Dont mind Du Lixin and his parents, they are just jealous that I never asked them to come hear my awesome stories."
"Mm, Okay granny, you can now start from the beginning."
Granny cleared her throat and began. "Back then when I was 15, I was really pretty and I mean the prettiest girl in my town. I was told by so many people that when I get to my youth, boys will go gaga for me, I was a little bit doubtful until I got to 18 and couldn't live a day in peace without having love letters from different secret admirers. I was a really naughty girl at that time and I dated different boys every month..."
Xiao Li interrupted with gasps. "Granny.."
"Shut it and let granny continue. Even the teachers wanted to date me and my math teacher gave me double high scores so as to impress me. I wasn't to good at my studies, so I acted smart and made him still give me high marks even after refusing him several times. That was in 1966 and my dear, I'll be telling my stories till the year 2022." Granny said with a smile.

Granny smiled and continued. "There was a day when the marh teacher called me to his office, I got there with the thoughts of me failing my math test but instead he locked he door and knelt on the ground begging me to date him. I refused and he got angry saying that if I dont date him then he will fail all my math papers but I wasn't touched nor scared, I told him instead that if he dares then I'll tell the principal and the whole school what he has done and also if they dont believe me then I'll show them all my test answers and show them I failed it all but he marked them right because he was into me."
"Wow granny that was so smart of you." Xiao Li said impressed.
"Even though I was not smart in my studies, I was smart when it comes to being cunning. Then after all that the math teacher got fired without anyone knowing the reason but rumors carried it that he was blackmailed, I wasn't the one who did that. Perhaps, he was also asking another girl out. Then in the year 1967....."
Xiao Li was interested at first and even now but she knows that granny is ready to tell the stories till 2022, she decided to bear a little at least not to be disrespectful.
AFTER SOME HOURS....
Granny continued tiredlessly. "In the year 1977..."
Xiao Li couldn't take it anymore, she still has 45 years to go. No this is absolute torment.
She decided to pretend like she was falling asleep, maybe granny would stop when she sees her sleeping. But to her greatest nightmare, Granny tapped her a little making her jump from her slumber. "Wake up dear, this is the most interesting part. In the year 1984, I finally met your grandpa....."
No, Xiao Li couldn't take it anymore...
She laid on the bed and slept off even before granny could talk more.
Granny smiled when she saw Xiao Li sleeping, no one could stand stories hahaha.
