Chapter 31: Till the End (Hosimachi Suisei)
Suisei was my friend, a very close friend I would say. A friend that I looked up to. I'm very lucky to be a friend of hers. She is a singer, an idol that I've been supporting for years. Her songs, her voice have saved my soul, healed whatever sickness I've got. She's a friend that got my back and so I do. Every concert she had; I'll always be cheering along with the crowd. Every time they finish, she would always invite me at the backstage, Always waiting for my response about her performance. I'd always respond positively and she'd hug me crying with overjoyed smiles. Seeing her perform on a big stage made me filled with happiness, after remembering her hardships through the years. She'd often thank me, which made me enlightened. One day she invited me somewhere, it was her vacation after all. She wants me to go with her, to accompany her, to be by her side.
"This place is beautiful isn't it?" She said as we walk at seashore.
"Yeah it's peaceful, unlike Where we came from, it's Quiet." I said as I held her hand. It was a deafening silence, with only the sound of waves from the sea is to be heard. I let her run, walk and wander around. Looking at her with her white dress, her holding onto a white flower as she dances through the wind. The skies were clear, it's like an unending scenery of silence, with just her to my field of vision. The comets shows on the skies, even tho it's broad daylight. She looked at me as the wind blows, blowing her blue hair and holding onto her hat.
"Will you promise you'd survive the operation and go with me here once again?" She says as she smiles at me.
"Yeah I promise" I said as I smile.... I've cherish the moments until a blinding white light blinds me, breaking the silence with her mourning. I woke up lying on a white bed while she's beside me crying. Clutching her head to my hand, holding on it tightly.
"Suisei, don't cry, I'm here" I said as I pat her head.
"████-kun, you're awake" she said as she wipe her tears.
"Well, hehe I guess the operation didn't succeed, I guess it's my time to go now" I said as I cough.
"No!! don't say anything like that" she says as she started crying again. I lifted my hand to wipe her tears from her cheeks and said
"Don't cry Suisei, come here and listen closely" she came near me.
"Suisei I love you" I said like it would be my last words.
"I love you too ████-kun, don't leave me!" she says as she hold onto my hand crying in despair. Her cries and beeping of my vital checker echoed through the room, before it all suddenly became silent. Seems like my heart had stopped beating. Oh well I still manage to confess my true feelings till the end, and hear her say that she loves me. Oh, silly me I couldn't even say sorry for not being able to keep our promise......
