Chapter 52: So Many Points!

'Is… this a museum?'

After dealing with the outer disciple, Kento was allowed to enter the highly protected treasury of this Shinto Faction.

"Do not misunderstand." Susanoo said. "This is not for defeating the kids, but because you are now my disciple. As my disciple you are bound to gain some privileges."

Kento was greatly impressed by the place. Especially the amount of items in the room.

"You already possess a sword, an excellent martial art but you lack a defensive style or item." Tsukuyomi said. "I would suggest you go for something defensive."

Kento was not sure about that. He already possessed Aegis and even {Elemental Intangibility}. And the only reason he did not use Aegis was because he thought the disciples were not worth it.

'Yet I should put it on. No one knows when some random godly being might attack me.' He thought. 'And Aegis remains invisible, so it is not a problem to keep it equipped.'

He still found a lot of issues with {Elemental Intangibility} as if someone changed the element of the attack during his intangibility, he might face a lot of issues.

'An example would be if I am in a water state and someone changes their attack to freeze me immediately.'

He knew that he had to practice with the skill to be able to adapt to the changes. It was not the skill that was bad, instead it was his lack of control.

'I do have control but to make the change quicker, I need practice.'

"There are a lot of manuals about ancient magic as well." Inari said. "However, I will recommend that you look into them later as they are highly time and energy intensive skills."

Kento nodded and walked around the place, but not before asking if he was allowed to do so.

"Is there any item that I am not allowed to touch or see, Kami?" He asked.

"There aren't." Susanoo answered. "The items that are extremely dangerous or cursed are kept at a different place. These ones are safe for you to explore."

Satisfied with the answer, Kento decided to look through the items.

"You can never go wrong with having more weapons." Susanoo suggested. "Especially if you are already familiar with that weapon."

That wasn't wrong, Kento already possessed a skill that allowed him to use any weapon effortlessly.

He looked through the swords, each emitting an intense power.

"Swords are great for close range and flexibility." Susanoo said. "And if you have a mount, the sword efficiency increases even further."

"Does he need a sword?" Tsukuyomi asked. "He already possesses a decent sword."

And Kento knew that it was true. For the moment, he did not need a sword as he already had Tessaiga.

'Not to mention it will be a nightmare to find a sword that can match Tessaiga for dual wielding.'

So he moved onto the next weapon section –maces.

"Maces are great if your opponents are armored as the impact from maces can even crush bones beneath armor." The storm god said. "Although maces require much greater strength than swords, their combinations are much easier to use as well."

Sadly, Kento had no interest in maces and decided not to bother with them.

He then moved onto bows.

"Bows are best for long range and to snipe enemies without appearing before them." Inari said. "Bows happen to be my primary weapon as well."

Kento did not know about this, but he already possessed a great bow.

So, he looked at the next option.

Spears.

"Spears in my opinion are superior to swords." Tsukuyomi was the one to explain this. "With spears you can slash, stab, thrust or even throw to hit ranged enemies. It is an excellent choice to balance both your offense and defense."

Kento was well aware that spears were one of the most practical weapons. And most of the times, people preferred swords over spears only because of the coolness factor.

"Spears are great weapons." Kento agreed. "Even the Grim Reapers attacked me because of such a spear."

In truth, Kento was aware that he was not their target. If not for him sensing their presence and calling them out, they might not have even attacked him.

Kento's words made the gods a little uneasy, which Kento picked up.

He knew that the spear had to be special otherwise reapers from another pantheon would have never attacked them.

"How much have you told him about it, Inari?" Tsukuyomi asked, surprising both the goddess and the god of the seas.

"The amount he needs to know." Inari said, which made Tsukuyomi shake his head a little.

"Which means not enough." He figured.

"Tsukuyomi." Susanoo frowned. "I don't know what you are thinking. But do know that it might infuriate our sister."

The calm god looked at his brother and smiled. "You know that I am the one who is the most aware of how an action might affect us… as a whole, don't you?"

Kento was well aware that he was witnessing something very interesting.

"I am the most aware of the results." Tsukuyomi announced.

This made Kento recall seeing a certain ability in Tsukuyomi's skillset.

'He has {Cosmic Awareness} and that is not a simple ability…' Kento wondered the limits of that ability, and recalling that the level of it was high… He could only guess about the usage of the skill.

"What are you thinking?" Susanoo asked, curious about his brother's thoughts.

"It is impossible to give him a full explanation, but it is best for him to know the bare minimum." The god of the moon said.

All this time, Kento did not say a word. He knew that it was not his place to intervene. But he certainly was curious about the whole incident.

"You must be wondering why reapers from the Greek pantheon came looking for a spear all the way from Greece to Japan."

Kento nodded at his statement. He was indeed curious about the whole ordeal.

"I cannot tell you everything but I can still give you information about a few things." He said. "The spear that they were looking for was the spear that our father used in the past. It was the very spear that separated the landmass that we call Japan from the other lands."

"The spear turned Japan into an island country?" Kento asked, amazed by the feat.

"It did. And it was also responsible for creating a biosphere making life possible for everyone." Tsukuyomi continued. "The spear was so powerful that even father had difficulty in maintaining it. And thus, after our birth… He decided to imbue a fraction of that both his and the spear's powers onto us and seal the rest of the power… Which is the majority of it in some other place."

'To divide the power among his children and to seal it away… How powerful was the spear?'

"After almost entirely draining the spear of its divine powers, he hid the spear." The god sighed. "That spear still possesses the essence of the power of creation. And that was more than enough reason for the reapers to search for it."

"What happens if the spear regains its powers?" Kento asked.

"Then whoever will possess the spear, will also obtain the power of creation." He frowned. "The power that is only weaker to the God of the Bible."

"I have met with some of the strongest devils." Kento said as he was aware that the gods knew of his interaction with the devils. "And as such, I can only imagine what kind of power the God of the Bible must possess."

This statement made Tsukuyomi realize something. "Oh… Not everyone knows of it…"

The god muttered softly, which confused Kento a little.

"Something that I should know, Kami Tsukuyomi?" The boy asked, making the god show a small smile.

"It is something that you should know… And something that I will tell you soon." He said. "But before that, you will have to meet our sister. If you can impress her and she recognizes your abilities, I will gladly tell you about it."

<<Primary Quest Alert!>>

The god continued. "It is a piece of information that can even start a war. However, as a direct disciple and also a possible representative of our pantheon… It is also something that you must know."

<<Prove your worth in front of Amaterasu.

Complete her tests without flaws: 0/3>>

<<Rewards: Points ×3000, ???>>

Kento felt his eyes popping out of his sockets.

Not because there was an hidden reward, but because the system promised three thousand points to him.

'This has not happened before…'

But this just showed how important the quest was and how important Tsukuyomi's information was going to be.

Gulping thickly, he nodded. "I will try my best."

"But before all else." Susanoo reminded. "You need to choose something from here."

Kento did not find a weapon or a defensive equipment that he fancied, so he thought of looking into the various fighting and art manuals.

"Ah, learning an art instead of picking a weapon." Tsukuyomi smiled. "Might be a good choice."

Kento looked through the various manuals.

'Blooming Sword Arts'

'The One Slash'

'Divine Arts'

There were various manuals that drew his attention. However, there was one that stood out to him the most.

"The Copy Wheel Eyes?"

As he read the name of the manual, Susanoo showed a massive grin.

"An interesting choice." He barked out a laugh.

"It is one of the most difficult arts to learn. Yet also one of the most special as it allows the user to read the enemy's muscle movement which helps to dodge or even copy their attacks… But remember that you can only copy fighting and defensive styles. If the enemy uses a style that incorporates magic, it will be useless unless you possess the same magic as well." Tsukuyomi explained.

Inari smiled. "It might be great for you as it compliments your fighting style."

Kento was amazed upon hearing this.

'An art that allows us to copy techniques?' Kento was beyond happy.

"I will take it."
