Chapter 3: A last ditch effort...
I felt my mind slip away. But I couldn't just fall and die...
'Shit... Like hell I'm going down here... I'll fight...' I chanted in my mind.

[Emergency failsafe activated... Energy levels are sufficient... activating 'power-mode']

Hearing this, I felt my suit grow in muscle and density, and glowing red with overwhelming power...
My strength rising to levels I never thought possible... It was as if the suit enhanced the adrenaline inside my brain to levels unprecedented.
As the creature was about to strike, time seemed to slow down for me. I then turned around, throwing a punch of my own with confidence I didn't think I had. I barely dodged the blow it was about to hit me with by utilizing my much smaller size to my advantage...
I Jumped towards to what must be its abdomen, charging to my punch, and then releasing it with all my might.
*BOOOM!!!*
A large echo of what sounded like flesh collided, exchanging blows...
The creature vomited its innards out from the strike
A wave of pain hit my body. Just before I fell unconscious, I saw my hand that used to kill the creature was completely destroyed... However, luckily the creature seemed to be dead...
"T-That's what you get you... bit-" I tried saying before I fell unconscious...

[Energy had been depleted, host in severe conditions... left arm and right arm both have been broken in several pieces... scanning nearby sources for rejuvenation... A nearby corpse has been found with suitable amount of bio energy... Initiating, 'auto-absorption...]

[Auto-absorption complete, the corpse of the monster has been fully absorbed... the suit has gained enhanced 'nano-fibers', 'enhanced armour coatings', 'toxicity resistance'... energy levels have been restored... the host has fully recovered... overall power has been greatly enhanced...

~ 2 hours later... ~
"HOLY!!!!" I shouted. Storming awake.
"Am I dead?!" I asked. I looked at my arms to see the suit I was in...
"Wait? My arms... they're healed..." I realized. I then surveyed the changes that were inside of me... I felt different, but better...
'Still. Why does my suit look so different?' I questioned. Something had changed clearly. My suit that had been dark blue, was now completely black.
My arms seemed to have gained bracers of some sorts...
I stood up. I looked at my legs to see the same thing. I had gained leg armour as well; it wasn't impeding my overall movement, and it even covered up everywhere else perfectly...
Curious, I look at my chest too, which now had a brownish metallic luster as well as my abs. They both covered the exposed muscle I had before...
Not only that. I felt unbelievably more power...
I quickly stopped thinking of the changes that I had presently. The creature... I couldn't find any traces of it... anywhere... not even a speck of blood...
'What the hell is going on here? Did its disappearance have to do with my change?' I questioned.
*Sigh...*
I quickly took a look at my biometrics...
"N-No way... I'm way stronger than before... How is this even possible?" I asked myself.
My strength had risen sharply. I could lift over 16.4 tons... my speed had gone up to over 8000 mph... not to mention my new armour...
'Okay... calm down...'
I needed to figure this out.
But I had no way of doing so... unless
'if my theory is correct... it should get some answers...' I said in my mind.
"Here goes nothing... Suit! Give me the information on what had transpired while fighting the creature before..." I asked it. If I was right about this whole thing. The suit should respond. I heard it initiating something called 'power-mode'.
If it didn't do that. I would be a dead man now...
[... The host has had subjugated the creature while using 'power-mode'... after subjugation. The host's energy levels were low, as well as the host's body destroyed from the encounter... I started 'auto-absorption' to restore and strengthen the host's body...]
Hearing the monotonous voice suddenly speak spooked me a bit... but hearing what it said was reassuring.
And quite interesting...
"What are you?" I asked, curiously. I didn't really know what the suit really was. But, I felt as if I should...
[... I am a 'nano-suit' (also known as Nano-muscle suit). I am a powerful and extremely versatile set of tactical-combat armor originally designed to counter the dormant 'Ceph' threat and circumvent the technological margin between humanity and the Ceph. Reverse-engineered from captured Ceph technology...]
I wasn't sure what 'ceph' were, but I had a feeling they weren't that important at the moment...
"Can you tell me where we are?" I asked, just in case if knew.
[... Negative. This environment is like earths, but from the creature observed. It wasn't ceph... so I am unsure...]
'that's unfortunate...'
"Do you at least know why we are here?" I asked.
[...Negative, when host gained consciousness, I gained conscience...]
'... So it knows nothing about how we got here... such is life. I can't dwell on the negatives...'
"Okay then, what's your purpose with me?" I asked.
[... I am unsure... as of right now. I am designed to protect my host by nature, so that could be considered my purpose...]
"I see..."
"Well... can you tell me about this, 'absorption'?" I asked.
[... the 'absorption' ability is used to restore lost energy quicker for the host, and can be used on living organisms as well to gain their attributes and their strength... these attributes will only benefit the host, and all negative gains will be converted into more physical strength for the host...]
"Amazing... is there any limit to this ability?" I asked.
[... Yes, and no... if the host absorbs too much of the same thing, the effects will become null... you won't be able to gain anything unless it has beneficial traits, such as mutations. Absorbing too many physical gains from the same creatures, from the same tier of power, will be useless... The most you will gain are minor physical amplifications until I cannot find anything more to improve upon...]
"That's... extremely useful... and powerful... too. I figured such an ability would have its limits somewhat. Speaking of limits... Do you have any? I suspect not." I asked.
[You are correct... I do not posses 'limitations' I can go as far as one will push... I by nature, am ever adapting and strengthening when needs be, until I don't see a reason to...]
"Incredible... to think I have such a powerful item..." I said, in awe with what I possessed...
"Well... thank you for saving me earlier. I could have died."
[... No need to do so... I am simply fulfilling my 'purpose'...]
'This was good... and a bit surprising. My suit seemed to have a will of its own. Given its characteristics, it seems to be biological and sentient to a decent degree...' I thought to myself...
"Well. With all that out of the way... I need to learn how to fight... if I could, I reckon I could have stood a much better chance at fighting that thing earlier. But, I have no means to... I think I'm probably the only human on this planet..." I said out-loud...
[... If host wants to learn martial arts. I can send copies of military tactics to the host's brain directly...]
"... What?"
