"There's a limit on what I can do for you, Addie." Reese answered. "No matter what you do, don't lose yourself and your life."

Adrienne lowered her gaze. She couldn't tell her uncle that his warnings came too late. She had lost not only herself, but everything she ever loved as well in her previous life. How could she come clean and admit that she was a coward and foolish before? Her uncle would be disappointed if he knew what happened.

"Uncle, don't you think you're asking too much from me?" She didn't expect her uncle to understand. It was too late for her to stop now.

"If it's not for you, think of your mother, Addie. I know it's impossible for you to forgive them, but aren't you afraid of what you could lose in the end?"
