Chapter 2: Briefing
Flora and Diana also turned to their parents saying, "Mother, father, we will also get going now," before the two levitated off the ground and flew towards the portal in the sky. "Diana, I will join the other defense fairies for the safety briefing," Flora said before flying with the other fairies as they greeted her.
She smiled at each of them before entering the large floating building. "Greetings, your highness," Flora heard from behind her and she smiled responding, "Hello, General Winston." The general smiled gesturing towards the rows of seats and Flora nodded before taking a seat as she waited for the briefing to start.
"Good morning, everyone, I will keep this briefing short and simple since everyone here has experience as a defense fairy. The main purpose of you all is to keep the researchers safe during their stay at the Glacial Domain, and these are the dangers in this domain." The general said before waving her hands and creating many illusions of different things.
"Firstly, the low temperatures will cause you harm so be sure to have your temperature-regulating armor on during all times," she said, and the image of the icy landscape covered the room.
"These creatures are just as dangerous as the temperatures. They have adapted to the fridge coldness of the Glacial Domain so they will not welcome you, and here are some of the most dangerous creatures. If you happen to come across any of these creatures, report them and return to the large group without engaging the creatures. That means do not fight them unless you have these guardian fairies with you, guardians please rise," she said as a few of the fairies flew up, one of them being Flora.
They smiled flying onto the stage with the others as the general continued, "Lastly, if you see anyone struggling bring them to the healers immediately, this concludes the briefing for your trip to the Glacial Domain, if you haven't already read the through report on the domain before your travels. Good luck everyone."
The fairies soon left the large building as a few stayed behind to ask questions. There was a total of 20 fairies and 5 guardians, plus the general inside the large auditorium at the beginning but now there were only 10 people.
Flora and her friends, Edna and Tori, who were also guardian fairies. They were in charge of the first group of 10 fairies, while Mina and Quinsy were responsible for the other 10 fairies. They were talking about the plans when a group of young fairies approached them.
"Excuse us, we are wondering if we could get another copy of the report?" They asked and Mina frowned asking, "Where are your original reports?"
They flinched before saying, "We forgot them at the dorms." Mina sighed as Flora passed the girls the report copies saying, "Here, you all know that this is not a joke, so try to avoid making careless mistakes, and as punishment, you are to help with the unloading of the materials when we arrive."
They nodded before quickly flying away as Tori asked, "How can you be both so nice and strict at the same time?" Flora smiled saying, "Because they need that information, and they need to take responsibility for their mistakes."
Mina nods before asking, "Ya, anyways, do you want us to follow the same procedures as always?" Flora took a few seconds before saying, "Not exactly, since Neith isn't with us, this time Quinsy you are responsible for the ship's maintenance during travel, then with Mina you will secure a location around the ship before we land on the first planet. Tori, Edna, keep the researchers and fairies out of harm's way, and you are also responsible for their training. Once we land, make sure everyone wears their armor and the rest of it will proceed like all other missions. If any problem occurs, meet the large group and we will face it otherwise we will escape as quickly as possible, clear?"
They nodded and the five quickly disbanded to complete their tasks so they could take flight.
