Synopsis

[As of 11/30/23 this novel's ROUGH DRAFT is COMPLETED]

[Warning: 18+ Content! - cursing, dark themes, sexual content, and other adult matters are present - NOTE: there is NO 'knotting' in this story for both those who come looking for it, and those who want to avoid it. I just wanted to give a head's up either way. LGBTQ+ representation is also in this novel. :)]

This is book one of the Ylphasia series.

War, betrayal, loss, growth - none of these things were aspects of life that Myranda had in mind when she finally met her destined mate.

The only problem was that her chosen was someone she absolutely despised - Prince Metas, the next rightful King to the Lycan Kingdom.

From the bottom rungs of society, everything above her seemed like a dream - it was too bad her preconceived notions were far from wrong.

In their journey to make a brighter future for their entire kingdom, Metas and Myranda learn that there is so much more to just being mates than their shared love.

As they navigate the complications of starting a revolution, both Metas and Myranda discover just how compatible they actually are - and how much their paring means for the future of their kind.

[EXCERPT]

"If you want my place so much, you should challenge me when the time comes. This is cowardice. You think I can beat you-no...You know I can beat you, and so you're trying to hurt Myranda to make me weaker. You're a bastard, a cheat and a liar, and you don't deserve to rule over our kingdom - and you never will. You have no valor, no honor - and no moral compass," Metas spat towards him, and kept his hair up on end involuntarily.

"I'm drunk right now and easily pushed you over like a small paper bag filled with shit. Since you've so brilliantly shown what you'd truly like to do, I'll make sure she is safe from you. Meanwhile, perhaps you should train or learn better tactics from your papa," Metas continued, and even grinned with delight.

"Even if you beat me in combat, the rest of those in power want to see you fall. You won't last," Silas warned, and reformed into his mortal self. "...but I do intend on challenging you. Unless you want to kill me right here and now since you're so confident."

"There is no honor in killing you without the glory of showing you exactly what I am capable of in front of everyone. I will take Joss' advice and do nothing for now. I don't want to throw away honor for revenge. If you come near her again, I will kill you before you ever get the chance to prance around in front of high society with a little speech, and show off to your wife and no friends. Understand?" Metas asked menacingly, and now his gums were visible as saliva dripped from his lips and teeth, barely holding himself back.

"I will drink your blood through your eye sockets if you lay one more fucking claw on her - understood?" Metas warned as he advanced towards the blonde male.

"You letting me live will be the biggest regret of your life, Metas. Hold those words close to your heart when you lose everything to me," Silas sneered and turned away, but not before he locked eyes with Joss with a dare in his green orbs.

LISTEN, give me a few seconds of your time and you won’t regret it. This author's writing is phenomenal. She beautifully paints images with her words where it feels like it’s an actual scene unfolding in front of you. The characters feel real and deep, like you have a connection with them from the moment you open chapter one. Her worldbuilding is a masterpiece. When you realize the level of depth she puts into scenery, describing things that don't exist in our world, but feels utterly and completely real by her words alone. She has a passion for writing. You can feel the creativity between each word. It feels like a story that had to be told. You’re in for plot twists. An emotional rollercoaster with no way off. Fasten your seatbelts, you’re in for a story of your lifetime. This authors, hands down deserves more than five stars. She deserves about a hundred. Please support her for taking her time to give actual good quality stories on WN!

The world in this novel has a stunning amount of depth, I highly recommend giving it a check if you like romance or suspense/drama novels! At first I thought that it was heavily influenced by a fate concept or whatever, but after reading it for a while, it honestly feels more like when you are attracted to someone you don't want to be attracted to so you struggle internally and get conflicted. Which is something I think we can all sympathize with feeling. Highly underrated novel, great work!

I tried reading a female mc for the first time, and believe me, the author has done a great job writing this. The characters, the emotion, the scenery all factors that the author has written in here feels soo real that I just want to support Myranda on her love quest. Note: The FL is pure tsundere that you can't hate her no matter what!

You are a quite talented writer; it was a pleasure to read! I had a slightly difficult time getting into the book due to the "Destiny" aspect of it, as I am a firm believer no such thing exists, and everyone must make their own path. But other than that, it was a very well written story from what I had read. Keep up the good work!

I honestly aren't really interested in these types of stories they tend to be bad and cringy but I decided to give them a second chance and ran into this one and I'm so glad I gave a second chance. I love it so much.

Shameful/less review here: I write daily, and I listen to feedback. I'm super interactive, and I enjoy connecting with others. I have reasons for each small detail, and lots of my plots have twists or pay-offs. This is absolutely one of them. I have carefully plotted out the story, and made sure it doesn't drag on forever. I also have other stories to weave into this one that will tell an entire picture through different characters in different places. This is only one of many many many stories in a series I've plotted out for different genres. This one just happens to focus on love, war, and how one can grow through tragedy instead of crumbling beneath its pressure. Please just read a few chapters, and you'll see what I mean. I have great characters - and I am sure there is one you'll grab onto. If not, you'll have the sincere thanks of a total stranger who really appreciated the fact you took the time out to just give me a chance! I'm small, and tiny - but I am filled with big surprises -- like a pork bun, or a deliciously crafted dumpling that hides so much flavor, you'll be glad you at least tried it!

5 chapters in. And I'm already loving this book. I actually wanted to give a review after reading 30+ chapters, but I can't wait to share with you all how good this book is. So here I am. Author's writing style is too good and the world building is amazing. I like how the author describes even the smallest details in a beautiful way, that makes you imagine the whole scenarios flawlessly. Unlike some books that I've read in this genre, this one has a unique premise. And the character building is perfect. I love the FL. Would I recommend this book? A huge YES. If you want a good novel in werewolf genre with romance, mystery and thriller, then this is for you. Go ahead and add it to your library. This is worth a read.

The author uses words I could never have imagined thinking of within a situation. It's a wonder to read through, and the flow of sentences doesn't hurt my head in the slightest. It's a classic, overplayed genre that is immediately countered by absolutely insane world development. In such a way, the focus immediately deters away from the genre itself and fills your head with its imagery in a beauty way. It's truly a wonderous read, if you like reading that is. There is a lot of words.
