Chapter 41: Tension

"I will handle it from here." A deep voice then said from behind me. 

I turned round to see Emperor Arsen enter the room, behind him were four imperial knights that walked in with him as well.

A look of horror appeared on Serena's face. I wanted to smile and gloat at the fact she hadn't realized the Emperor had been listening in on us. I wonder how much he'd heard though. I hadn't heard any footsteps approaching probably because I was too busy fighting with Serena.

"Your majesty!" She started as her mouth opened and closed rapidly as if she was struggling to find the words to say.

However, his majesty had a very dark expression. "Is it true Serena?" He asked furiously. "Have you been mistreating and threatening the Crown Prince?" He asked in disbelief.

"Your majesty...I can explain," She uttered with difficulty.
