Chapter 2: Chapter 2: Hostess of fertility I
[a/n forgot to tell you guys but the story starts 10 days after canon started, enjoy]
*morning - hostess of fertility - Miquella's POV*
so after departing from the group i went to take a bath. Ugh, i can finally get rid of this blood. I smell like a corpse.
Anyway you might be asking why i lied about my age and why i accepted her offer to work here...Well it was quite simple really. I don't know anything about this place. And if i ask about something that is actually common sense in this world that'll give me unneeded suspicion. Like that giant tower in the middle of this town. If i ask someone about it they'll 100% give me a suspicious look. But now that i work at this bar, i can get the information just by hearing the drunkards talk. And they give me food, shelter, clothes and money to boot...
after arriving at the bath i took off my clothes and threw them away in a corner. I went inside and began cleaning myself. Trying to get the blood off my body and out of my hair. And i continued my inner dialogue
From what i've heard from outside that tower is called 'tower of babel' where they fight monsters? No it might be under it?? I don't know, that's why information is key. Also i need to see how much everything is payed. What's the currency and how much is it over runes. But i bet those nomadic merchants scammed my subordinates for their runes so lets just memorise the prices then.
When i was finally done washing i got out and dried myself with a towel. I put on the fresh clothes Ryuu brought a few moments earlier. It consisted of a white shirt and over it a green waiter vest, matching the colour of the other employees. it had a little apron running down to his knees, same colour obviously with pants. He finished it off brown boots that switches to black after reaching the heels.
After he put on the clothes he braided his hair a little on the sides as to not get in the way of his vision. After that he immediately went downstairs to meet up with Mama Mia and the others.
When i came down i saw all the employees walking around going from table to table serving someone or taking orders. But when i came into view everyone stopped what they were doing when they saw me. Even Mama Mia, Syr and Ryuu were frozen in place. Uhh?? What do i do now...
For now lets just wave.
hmm? Gotta say, all these waitresses are really strong. What's up with that?

*Hostess of fertility - Ryuu's POV*
Today, the boy named Miquella woke up. And he seemed rather bold and innocent without all that blood on him. After Mama Mia told him to take a bath we went back to work while we talked.
"Chloe: Hey, hey. What do you guys think he'll be like without all the blood?" asked a cat-women with green eyes and medium black hair and fur.
"Lunoire: Well I think he'll look cute. What do you think Ryuu?" said the human with brown medium length hair and brown eyes.
"...He'll look nice i think" i said
*silence*
"Anya: Wownya? Ryuu just complimented a guy nya?" Asked the confused brown cat-women
"Syr: Yes. Fufufu. She's already falling for him. Even with all that blood."Syr said teasingly
"Ryuu: WHA-NO SYR I-"
"Mama Mia: GIRLS GO BACK TO WORK!!" Mama Mia shouted annoyed to the lazing girls
"Everyone: YES, MAMA MIA" and with that the girls started to work once again.
There's no way i'm falling for a twelve year old...right?? She asked herself confusing her more but at that moment when she was about to take an order form a customer. She could see...HIM. And not just her but everyone's eyes went to him. Even Mama Mia was momentarily shocked.
It was a small boy no older then twelve with a beautiful face that even puts women and gods alike to shame. He had contrasting eyes of red and golden. He had wavy golden hair that went until his knees, braided in both sides. And they seem to emit a holy light because the sun shone on his back. He also wore the new clothes i gave him. [a/n here's a picture of his base appearance, and I'm not good at editing so imagine the details]
To say this scene was beautiful was an understatement. It was PEAK BEAUTY!!
And there he stood waving his hand seeming oblivious to his own beauty.
Mama Mia was the first to recover.
"Mama Mia: ughm, Miquella come with me. We need to finalise your interview." Mama Mia said walking towards her office.
"Miquella: coming!" He said excitedly following Mama Mia

"Customer: Who was that?" The old man asked
"Ryuu: ...A new employee. His name is Miquella." I answered his question after getting myself together. I was seemingly burning up.
Huh? Why?? Why am i so red?!
"Customer: HUH? HIS NAME?? HE'S A BOY!! WITH THAT KIND OF FACE!!"
"Syr: Yes, exactly. That's what i said." Syr said baffled at the scene she saw and if one looked closely at her they could even see a hint of lust in her eyes.
"Chloe: Ooh. What a prety boy we have here. hahaha" She laughed weirdly. OH!! I forgot she's a shotacon... I can't let her get near Miquella. EVER.
"Lunoire: Alright, now that we saw him... we can gossip about him later. First we need to work.
*Everyone: Alright*

*Mama Mia's office - Mia Grande's POV*
Well i would be lying if i said i wasn't shocked from his appearance. He looks like an angel or something
She thought while looking at Miquella who was curiously looking around the room
This might be one of my biggest investments yet hehe.
"Mama Mia: Can you count?"
"Miquella: Yes"
"Mama Mia: Can you read or write"
"Miquella: Well i can write a little bit... i think." He said while thinking deeply.
"Mama Mia: Hmm? Let's see...Here, Have this and that. Now try write '2 ales' on the lines." What Mama Mia gave him was a tiny book and a pen to take orders. She already decided he would be a waiter. It was a waste of his looks to be anywhere else. He would just need to pick up the skills as he goes. And that was totally fine with Miquella.
When Miquella wrote the small order and showed it to Mama Mia, she looked satisfied.
Hmm. He can read and write. Albeit clumsy but it's readable. And then she gave her final verdict to him.
"Mama Mia: Alright kid, You're going to be a waiter. Full time. Ryuu and Syr will show you the ropes. Is that fine?" She asked nicely but with a demanding tone as if she wasn't taking a no for an answer
"Miquella: Yes" he said with determination
"Mama Mia: And as i said before. Call me Mama Mia because of today you're one of my children and my first son got that." She said again with a commanding voice.
"Miquella: Yes, Mama Mia." Miquella quickly corrected his mistake.
"Mama Mia: Hmm good, Now then i need to warn you. This place might be a cafe now but when night falls it'll be a bar with a lot of adventurers. And they will be drunk so i need to know if you can protect yourself. Normally they will be careful even if they don't want to be kicked. Even if they're drunk they behave themselves, but you never know"
"Miquella: Is that why the maids are all so strong??" Miquella asked surprising Mama Mia. She was quite shocked to know that he can measure someone's strength while not being in anyone's familia.
"Mama Mia: Yes that's right. They're all level 4 while i'm a level 6. But kid how did you know??" She asked curiously
"Miquella: Well, It's because of my left eye. I can see a sort of aura around a person and the bigger it is the stronger he himself is. And also, yes i can defend myself." And with a wave of his right hand three rings of light formed around Miquella.
WHAT!! HOW?? THAT'S MAGIC!!! Wait... no, not quite like magic. Hmm? His tattoo is shining? Oh, i see. So they aren't just for show after all.
Mama Mia tried to touch the ring but got a slight cut in the process. But only that slight cut. It wouldn't cut further. But it was a grand achievement for a level one to make a level six bleed.
And quite sharp too...but...
The next moment Mama Mia punched the ring from above destroying the ring.
"Mama Mia: Yes, good penetration power but low durability. A level 4 can easily break it and a level 3 will have a tougher time but it'll still break. While it can put a level 2 at bay but with that body you will still lose. But with a surprise attack...alright, you can definitely defend yourself." Mama Mia analysed the rings with precision
While Miquella seemed in deep thought after hearing Mama Mia's words.
"Miquella: I have a few questions. First how did you know it came from my tattoo? And second, do you have any tips to make it more durable for dealing with higher level's?"
"Mama Mia: Okay, First off your tattoo was shining and giving off something that felt like mind. For the second, join a familia and level up. That's the only conclusion i can find. Also can you make them smaller. If you make them that big you'll damage the surroundings and the people."
Miquella nodded at the answers given and then proceeded to make three discs of light.
Mama Mia analysed the discs
Hmm. Same as the big ones.
"Mama Mia: And your left one??"
"Miquella: I don't know myself, I just got it after i was drenched in blood and then i fell unconscious."' no i might have a few ideas since it's connected to the 'formless mother''
"Mama Mia: Alright, for now don't use it. And if you want to try do it outside or in the dungeon. We don't know how much damage it will cause. And since you're not part of a familia we can't check out what it does. You understand"
"Miquella: Yes, Mama Mia"
"Mama Mia: alright, you're good for the job. Now go to Ryuu and Syr." She said dismissing Miquella
"Miquella: Yes, Mama Mia" Parting with those words, he left
"Mama Mia: Yeah, he's going to be a golden chick hehehe"

So i've decided to split it in two parts just cuz of the amount they will still do.
Also in the canon timeline the lili arc will start so our mc will have a little presence in this but not a significant one.
He will just get used to is new daily life and continue getting information as a waiter. Bec he still doesn't know a lot about that world such as familia and dungeon but that's still for later.
Also we now know that with his magic he is peak level 1. But it's only while using his seals on his hands. Remember he still hasn't unlocked his falna yet. And he still has other innate abilities.
