Chapter 20: Chapter 20 Dai Li
"You're kidding me..." He asked quietly.

"How did you even manage to meet them? Did you tell them your real name? Please don't tell me you used your real name." Kyn started rambling off, and it looked like he would not stop until Kypher stopped him, and explained the situation.
During the explanation, his father had calmed down enough to think things through, and after a long and arduous silence he asked,
"Is she a good person at least?"
"Yeah, she just follows Azula around because she has not much choice."
"Alright well, First chance you get, bring her here. Your mother will vet her." This made Kypher smile. His father saw that the issue was somewhat resolved, even if the issue its self is way worse than what he had predicted, and pulled his son into a hug.
"If you ever need help, come to us. We will always welcome you home."
"Thanks dad."
The father and son due separated before Kyn left, leaving Kypher alone to think about what he had achieved till now, and what is his plan until the story unfolds.
*Sigh* "I guess vacation time is over." He muttered before falling asleep.

Next day,
It felt unnatural for Kypher to sleep in a bed after almost a year, of improper bedding, and yet he only woke up until after midday. And after wishing his parents a good day, as well as asking for some money from his father, Kypher left the manor and headed towards the monorail in the middle ring of the capital. He did not have any issues going towards the upper ring as being related with the Grand Secretariat opened many doors.
It was not the first time Kypher had visited the upper ring. In the past his father used to visit Long Feng at least a few times every year, before they got into an argument, over something stupid.
Since Kypher had visited before, he remember the basic layout of the area. His uncle's office was situated inside the royal building, and it was quite easy to find it. The large label that spelled out, "Grand Secretariat Long Feng" was an obvious hint.
"Morning Uncle, how are you?" Kypher asked after walking in. His uncle seemed busy with paperwork covering his desk almost entirely. He sat down before his uncle and pulled out a pocket watch before he started playing with it.
"Good morning Kypher, so what did you want to discuss-" Long Feng asked, his eyes following the movement of watch, before he froze still and drifted of to sleep.
"Well that was easier than I thought." Kypher muttered before putting away the watch and proceeding with his plan.
Hypnosis, a skill Kypher learnt in his past life. He learnt it as a joke before realising the potential it had, of course, in his past world, most people were immune to hypnosis, after all the desensitization the had gone through. In this world however, although there were people still who could resist to it, they were not immune to it, like his uncle, and sudden hypnosis worked best in such scenarios. Of course he wouldn't be able to control his uncle for long, it would still be enough for him to do what he wanted.
"When you wake up, I want you to call all of your Dai Li into a hall for a meeting, I want you to agree to everything I say during the meeting, I want you to act normal and forget everything that has happened so far today, when I tell you to." He told Long Feng, before repeating with the command a second time, just to make sure.
After finishing, he snapped his fingers which made the sleeping Long Feng wake up. Without any notice, the man walked towards his shelf before pulling a book, which seemed to have opened a secret staircase, near the bookcase. The man walked in, with Kypher walking in right behind him.
The duo walked down and through a stone hallway for a few minutes before reaching an large crystal-filled cave, with doors and training platforms, as well as people. 'This is the training area most probably.'
Long Feng walked around a bit before reaching a large bell which he rung before moving back towards a platform. It took less than 30 seconds before a large number of people, nearly, 50 people crowded around the platform, although none were talking, It was silent, something Kypher was quite please with.
"Dai Li, listen up." Kypher called out to the secret force. "My name is Kypher, I am related to this asshole right here."He said while pointing at his uncle, who nodded at the insult." I do not know why most of you listen to his orders, however things are going to change from now on." He looked around the room, and saw many of the Dai Li start to tense up, as if they are about to charge at them. Their eyes were showing their disdain, yet Kypher continued.
"You might think that I am similar to him or maybe just slightly better. I know you people are followers of the powerful."Kypher paused for a bit before breathing in," therefore I believe that this calls for a demonstration" He whispered, his voice reverberating in the entire cave. However he did not stop there. He brough his hand forwards, controlled almost all of his chi to flow towards his middle finger and thumb, before doing something nobody expected.
*snap* and silence permeated the cave.
What followed the silence however made the Dai Li fall on their knees and cover their ears. It was pure tinnitus, as if a flash grenade fell right in front of them and blasted their senses away. Seeing their reaction, Kypher nodded and sat down cross-legged on the platform, while waiting. On his side, his uncle was laying unconscious.

Kypher was unaffected by the sound wave, although he was drained. It took a massive toll on him, and so to keep up appearance he chose to meditate and regain some chi before dealing with the Dai Li. And although he didn't have much time, he was still surprised at the special forces capabilities.
Although, they had most probably never dealt with such an attack before, they still recovered in a few minutes. And once they did, their eyes were not filled with any disdain, but fear and devotion. It was true that they followed only the strong. And a man who made them kneel with a flick of a finger was someone who they were not going to argue against.
"I know you are not the only members of the group so spread the word that the organisation is under new management. Call them all back. By the end of the month, I want to have another meeting, this time inside the Lake Laogai. Those of you who have already experience will be able to watch your companions writhe under the same pain for a bit." He order while chuckling at his own joke. "I want the best 4 to come here while the rest, continue what you were doing. For now follow this moron's orders, until I tell you otherwise." He said while kicking his Uncle in the stomach, which promptly woke him up.
After hearing their first order, most of the Dai Li left to continue what they were doing, while 4 of them walked towards Kypher. " What are your names?"
"We do not refer to ourselves by names" The 4 called out at the same time. This made Kypher shake his head. "From now on, you are North" He said pointing towards the left-most warrior, before continuing right. "East", "South" , "West"
Then he realised something. "Why was there no one in your office Long Feng?"
Unexpectedly it was North who answered instead, "Long Feng, bring women into his office to release some of his pent up stress. He had asked us not stake his office."
Kypher looked at his uncle with an uncertain look, before ignoring the topic overall
The 4 respective earth benders nodded in understanding. "North, South, I want the 2 of you to organise the Dai Li and bring to me documents with the information about the force." The two nodded before walking off towards a room, " East I want you to follow Long Feng and report to me about all of his actions. Now take him back upstairs" The man nodded, while grabbing Long Feng and followed the instruction given.
"West, you will follow me and stay hidden most of the time. " West nodded in understanding. Kypher looked around and started walking back towards the corridor with West close behind him.
Once he reached the office, he nodded towards East, who went behind the bookshelf and closed the door. West on the other hand exited the room and waited outside for Kypher to finish his business
Kypher looked back at his uncle before clapping his hands, which woke Long Feng from his hypnosis
"Oh hey, Kypher, I didn't realised you entered the room. I must have been daydreaming."
To which Kypher nodded before bidding his uncle Goodbye and leaving. Long Feng was too confused to react before forgetting about Kypher visiting him all together.
