Chapter 287: Chapter 287: The Desperate Battle

Doomsday's half-dead body suddenly erupted in a wave of electric sparks.

This caused his severed head to grow back and hard exoskeletons to form quickly on his body.

When the dust cleared, Doomsday was bigger and had armor that looked like an exoskeleton.

"Just as I expected,"

Jack just nodded and didn't act surprised.

The hardest thing about Doomsday was that he was hard to kill and wouldn't die twice from the same blow.

After a bit of suffering, he would quickly change and come up with ways to get back on track.

Now, Doomsday's strength was clearly stronger than it had been before.

He was getting stronger.

This was the only headache for Jack.

However, something seemed strange to him.

Doomsday seemed weaker than expected, given that he was the one who brought down the Kryptonian empire.

Roar!

Without giving him time to think, Doomsday, who had come back to life, quickly ran at Jack and was in front of him in an instant.

He raised his armored fist and pounded brutally against Jack's head.

"Hand-to-hand combat? I like it!"

Jack didn't retreat but instead raised his fist and hit back.

Two very different-sized hands hit each other at the same time.

The power from this punch made the space around it shake so hard that it felt like it could fall apart at any second, like a small nuclear explosion.

"Hmm?"

Jack suddenly murmured, then lifted his leg and kicked Doomsday away before he could react.

After all of this, Jack looked at his hand and was confused.

"Something's not right!"

He thought about it, and his brow furrowed with worry and thought.

Just then, Doomsday flew back once again.

Jack stopped thinking about his own condition and instead charged forward, starting an intense battle with Doomsday.

They fought in space and attacked each other in an old-fashioned way.

Their movements got faster and faster until there were only two blurry images left. They crashed into each other, and every impact was like a small nuclear explosion.

Fortunately, they were in outer space. If they were on the outside of a planet, it would have likely been split in half long ago.

While the two kept fighting, there were two individuals silently observing everything.

One of them was none other than God himself.

"Now is the time?"

God's eyes penetrated the void, witnessing the battle between Jack and Doomsday.

He frowned and looked at the white-haired old man beside him.

The old man was dressed in casual clothes and had his white hair combed perfectly. He had a hint of a deep smile on his face, and his eyes seemed to be filled with wisdom.

"I know what you want to say, but we're running out of time."

The old man shook his head, glancing at God.

"We need to move things along faster. Compared to the others, he has wasted too much time."

"I'm not talking about time!"

God interrupted the old man, his expression filled with worry.

"You know how special Doomsday is. He has failed at it more than once. Is it too risky for him to face it now?"

"Perhaps,"

The old man replied calmly, shaking his head.

"But he has succeeded more than once as well. We need to have some faith in him."

"You said the same thing last time."

God murmured to himself, remaining silent for a moment. Then he suddenly asked, "How many are left?"

When the old man heard the question, which made no sense, he shook his head and let out a long sigh.

"Not many."

God didn't say anything, but a hint of concern appeared on his face.

On the other side, the battle between Jack and Doomsday continued.

Doomsday turned out to be even tougher than he had thought, quickly finding ways to stop his attacks.

At first, he could handle it, but as the fight continued, Doomsday got stronger. In less than an hour, Jack went from being relaxed to giving it his all.

Doomsday's rate of growth exceeded his expectations. If this continued... the consequences would be unimaginable.

The most important thing was that time was running out!

As the time got closer, it seemed like Doomsday would never stop, like an enemy who never gives up. No matter how badly he was beaten, he would come back to life and get even stronger.

Even throwing it into a black hole didn't work because it just opened a portal inside and came back out.

This discovery left Jack dumbfounded. If he couldn't handle it even with a black hole, how could he win this battle?

And at this moment, he only had three minutes left before he had to leave.

He pushed Doomsday into the darkest void once more. Jack's face finally showed that he was in a hurry.

"This won't work!"

He looked at Doomsday's broken body in the distance, his brain working quickly as he thought of plans!

No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't come up with a plan that would help him win. He had tried everything he could think of, but he still couldn't completely kill his opponent!

And at that moment, The pieces of Doomsday's body shook with strong energy. This started a quick repair process, and the electricity sped up.

Wait a minute!

Electricity?!

Jack's brain had a sudden moment of clarity, as if the god of wisdom had kissed him.

Doomsday's regenerative ability should also exist in the form of energy, right?

Since it's energy, then he could...

Although he wasn't entirely confident, Jack had no choice but to try this method.

It may not succeed, but it's worth a shot!

In an instant, he ran as fast as he could toward Doomsday and jumped right into his half-healed body!

After a few seconds, Doomsday's body had fully regenerated, and Jack found himself inside him at that moment.

Fortunately, Doomsday was huge; otherwise, it would have been even more difficult.

But Jack didn't have time to think about that now. He had already found a way to defeat or even kill Doomsday.

And just as he suspected, Doomsday's ability to die and resurrect repeatedly leaned on his twisted regenerative power.

What Jack needed to do now was rob Doomsday of this power.

And in reality, he was already doing it.

Doomsday's body tried very hard to kill him inside, as if it were desperate to get rid of him. So, one after the other, he tried to push him out of his body with a huge rush of regenerative power.

For Jack, this was a great experience.

He directly absorbed a huge amount of regenerative energy. As time passed, Jack no longer hesitated and focused on fully absorbing the energy.

Roar!

Doomsday clearly sensed that something was wrong.

He frantically scratched his chest, trying to pull Jack out of his body.

However, what truly annoyed him was that he couldn't break his own body.
