Synopsis
On the day she went for a date, she was humiliated by an ordinary but confident man in front of everyone. People around her all pointed fingers at her. They even joined in to criticize and humiliate her. Bai Anran felt disheartened and ashamed. This was when a man appeared before her like an angel riding on a rainbow-colored cloud. "Marry me, and I'll give you everything you want."
Bai Anran recognized this man. He was the man who was also humiliated at the table next to her a while ago. She looked at the man gratefully before putting her small hand in his. After they walked out, Bai Anran decided to thank him and leave. However, the man didn't seem to want to give up. Instead, he spoke in a calm manner. "Aren't we going to get married?"
Bai Anran was stunned for a moment. "Are you really a soldier?" She asked.
The man chuckled. "Don't I look like one?"
Bai Anran made up her mind. It was only getting married, wasn't it? At the very least, this man saved her when she felt thoroughly humilaited earlier. She decided to marry him. However, little did she know, she ended up marrying a great man who pampered his wife limitlessly. He let her make all the financial decisions in the household, and he supported her in whatever career she chose to pursue. She was also allowed to make any decision she wanted in daily life as long as she respected his boundaries.
He gave her endless love, but she began to harbor doubts. "Darling, I can't sleep with you every single night."
"Honey, just hang in there. I can't control myself when I see you."
Just as Bai Anran thought she genuinely married a wonderful man, she found herself looking at the cover of a magazine with a commander's picture on it. Wait a second. Why does this man on the cover look so much like my husband?

It seems like an interesting story, the only problem i have with it is the pronouns. They aren’t consistent with the character. If it was every now and then it wouldnt be so bad but it is most of the chapters. It gets exhausting doing corrections in my head.
The book is genuinely addictive & the storyline is great! ❣️The only issue is with the pronouns of the characters. It is completely wrong! Eg.: sophia is constantly mentioned as he/him & sometimes she/her! Please consider it!

Meh. It might have been more palatable if they didn’t change the names and setting. I could overlook the English names in 🇫🇷, but there is absolutely no thought to cultural context (French culture, French food, French bureaucracy).
