Chapter 90: Chapter 90: A Master Takes on an Apprentice

On a regular day, someone might have already criticized why Bolvar had to create such a bloody scene. But now, no one said anything because the kingdom was already in a state of war.

Compared to before when most nobles knew nothing about the orcs, now the nobles had the most straightforward understanding of the orcs' strength.

They began to understand why the vast territory of the kingdom would collapse in the blink of an eye. They began to understand why the elite army trained would be so vulnerable.

This was obviously due to the difference in race. Compared with orcs, humans had an innate gap in combat power.

When the servants cleaned up the scene, the nobles formed small circles and whispered to each other. King Llane was also asking the opinions of his important ministers.

"You mean it often takes three elite warriors to take down one orc?" Llane showed undisguised surprise. "I thought the report was exaggerated."

"Indeed, it's impossible to fight one on one. If it's purely a melee fight, twenty temporary armed peasant soldiers wouldn't be a match for one orc," Lothar added with lingering fear. "If it weren't for the mysterious grand mage 'Hundred-Handed Death God Hua Jia' and his magic and tactics, this would be the biggest defeat of Stormwind Kingdom since its establishment."

" Hundred-Handed Death God Hua Jia? You sent a report beforehand that he seems to be Duke Marcus's teacher. How strong is he?" Llane was somewhat pleased, but also a little doubtful.

"I can't tell, but he can repel the siege of thousands of orcs, kill the enemy's evil spellcaster in front of the formation, and capture the opponent's staff. I think he should be very powerful, but only a master has the right to speak."

Lothar asked the attendant to hand over the orc warlock's staff wrapped in runes to the court mage beside Llane.

The old mage carefully examined it for a while and pondered for a moment. "Even I'm not sure if I can kill this staff's owner in a one-on-one situation. Let alone facing the orc army alone. I dare not say anything else, but at least the former owner of this staff has strength equivalent to the peak of our Sky Mage. However, such strange and evil power, in actual combat, this orc's strength should be no less than that of Morning Star Mage."

Llane, Bolvar, Lothar, and others all had a sudden jump in their hearts.

If someone could easily kill Morning Star Mage, wouldn't they be at least an Archmage?

It should be noted that the number of strong ** masters in the entire Azeroth world is very rare. The most recognized one is Guardian Medivh.

Under Medivh, there are only two Sun Mages that are widely recognized by the world: Master Antonidas of Dalaran and Sun King Anastarian of the high elves of Quel'Thalas.

Although there are some moon mages, there are at most ten of them, and most of them are members of the Kirin Tor Council. Unfortunately, there are no moon mages in the Kingdom of Stormwind.

The mere existence of a moon mage is enough to make people tremble, and if they are also a tactical master, a series of fire and water attacks can open the eyes of these generals who only know how to fight head-on.

Now, hearing that Duke actually has such a powerful teacher, Llane and his companions couldn't help but raise their opinion of Duke even more.

It turns out that a famous teacher produces outstanding students!

No one would have thought that Duke, this guy, had secretly played such a trick - he was both the teacher and the student.

Everyone began to think in the direction that behind Duke's impressive "Sea King" title, there was in fact a master guiding him.

Llane, the king of Stormwind, asked tentatively, "Didn't Lothar say that Mr. Hua Jia has the emblem of the royal mage regiment...?"

The old court mage shook his head, "The emblem of the royal mage regiment is simply a means of distinguishing between friend and foe. For powerful mages, this ordinary arcane badge is easily imitated. This doesn't prove anything."

Llane was clearly disappointed. In the absence of Medivh, the news of the other side having a mysterious and powerful caster made him instinctively crave a stronger mage to lean on.

What a shame.

The servants cleaned up the council chamber, and the hall was once again filled with a mix of emotional and rational arguments.

In fact, everyone knows that relying solely on the Kingdom of Stormwind is not enough to win. Preliminary estimates suggest that the number of orc troops is not less than one hundred thousand. Based on a 1:3 casualty ratio, even if all the adult men of Stormwind were considered elite soldiers, they would still not be enough to win.

But it is also impossible to give up the territory of Elwynn Forest.

As the heart of the entire kingdom, over seventy percent of the citizens of Stormwind reside within the forests of Elwynn. If we were to evacuate all of them to Stormwind City, the food shortage alone would cause King Varian to pull his hair out in frustration.

"The only silver lining is that we've opened up sea routes. Now we can constantly transport food from the Westfall to Stormwind City by sea, which should help alleviate the food crisis in the short term," said Bolvar. But as soon as he finished speaking, Llane couldn't help but think of Duke's kindness.

"We have no other choice but to ask for aid from other human kingdoms. These greenskins aren't just our problem anymore, it's a disaster for the entire human world, and even the world of Azeroth," Llane's words sadly proved to be true.

The massive orc army had long since become dissatisfied with just half of Redridge Mountains and the Elwynn Forest. Like the goal of the Yuan dynasty navy was to conquer the vast ocean, the orcs' target was the entire world of Azeroth.

In addition to their urgent attack on Stormwind Kingdom from the west, the orc army also dispatched a detachment to the north, crossing through Redridge Mountains and the future Burning Plains, trekking through the barren wasteland, and marching into the heart of the eastern kingdoms - Dun Morogh.

That's right, tens of thousands of orcs led by the Bleeding Hollow Clan were now making their way to cause trouble for the dwarves.

Not only that, but some of the smaller orc clans continued northward, invading the territories of the kingdom of Stromgarde and even Alterac.

Llane had been sending out pleas for aid to all the countries since April, but the response was slow. These countries, located thousands of miles away, initially thought that Llane had gone mad and was mistaking trolls for orcs.

It wasn't until July, when the green-skinned orcs indiscriminately attacked several human kingdoms, attacking villages, towns, and even fortresses, that the leaders of the various countries finally realized the gravity of the situation - this was a large-scale invasion targeting the entire continent, and even the world!

By this time, over half of Elwynn Forest, the territory of the Stormwind Kingdom, had already fallen.

At this critical moment, news that shocked the entire Stormwind Kingdom and even the world came - Medivh had officially betrayed them, and he had assassinated all six members of the Council of Tirisfal. His mother, Aegwynn, went to Karazhan to confront him but was defeated and has since gone missing.

Thank you everyone for your stones, bookmarks, and engagement. I asked and you all have come through. As a thank you and to celebrate the new cover art I did a double daily release today. Still not back for real since I still have a bunch of stuff to work on on the backend.

I know the building on the cover art doesn't look the part but hopefully, I captured the spooky and haunted tone of Kara. My skill using Midjourny has only just begun so hopefully I will be getting better as time goes on.
