Chapter 416: Chapter 416: The Fall of the Nobility

For this recapture of Alterac, Orgrim Doomhammer had spared no expense. Apart from Gul'dan and Cho'gall, who had disappeared without a trace, and Grom Hellscream, who was stationed at the Horde's main camp in Silverpine Forest, Orgrim had almost all of the Horde's most capable chieftains and heroes brought here by dragon riders.

Zuluhed naturally commanded the dragon riders in the sky.

To Orgrim's left was Kargath Bladefist, chieftain of the Shattered Hand clan.

To his right was Kilrogg Deadeye, chieftain of the Bleeding Hollow clan.

Outside the great hall were Kash'drakor of the Blackrock clan and a newly risen hero, Rexxar.

Rexxar, as one of the greatest heroes of the Horde in later generations, was the product of an orc and ogre union. He grew up in the Mok'Nathal clan in Draenor. Despite being a half-breed, his towering physique and astonishing strength made him shine in the Horde's invasion of Azeroth.

Orgrim had specifically brought him along this time.

Including Samuro, the Horde had brought seven super killers who could easily take on a thousand.

Under normal circumstances, these seven could wipe out the entire Alterac.

Unfortunately, they encountered Duke, who was also prepared to play a big game.

Zuluhed in the sky suddenly discovered a large group of gryphons diving down from the clouds. The dragon riders of the Dragonmaw clan were bombarded by a dense rain of Stormhammers before they could react.

Dragons are indeed the masters of the sky, but they have a blind spot, which is their back. Without the coordination of the orc riders, the red dragons faced the gryphon swarm in a more individualistic manner. This mistake led to a drastic increase in the losses of the dragon riders.

Kash'drakor and Rexxar, who were guarding outside the great hall, thought they only needed to deal with a few die-hard 'Barov family' guards. They and the dozen or so elite orcs they brought made a serious mistake.

When the illusion covering these guards was removed, they found that the guards... were all their old adversaries—the Knights of the Silver Hand.

It was bad enough that the Silver Hand had arrived, but also a large number of the original paladins.

Uther, Saidan Dathrohan, Tirion Fordring, Gavinrad the Dire, Bolvar Fordragon, these guys had mostly proven their bravery on the battlefield in Silverpine Forest and other places. After fighting for so long, all the weaklings would be eliminated in the first three wars, and many times, after all the fighting, they would find that the strongest were still the same few.

Even if they didn't remember all the names, they would recognize them as soon as they met, feeling something like 'Ah! It's that bastard again!'.

The common saying among the Horde was that the original paladins were the most fierce.

If it was just the Silver Hand, the heroes of the Horde wouldn't be so annoyed, but the most outrageous thing was that all four Windrunner sisters had come.

Paladins are famous for being able to fight and tank, able to heal and endure, but paladins also have a famous shortcoming—short legs. If the heroes of the Horde really wanted to run, the paladins couldn't stop them.

Well, now a group of ranger heroes who could run like the wind had arrived.

Even if Kargath and Kilrogg came out,

they still felt overwhelmed. Just in the first encounter, several elite Horde captains, each with dozens of lives on their hands, were shot dead by the Windrunner sisters.

The Horde suffered a great loss against the heroes summoned by Duke, but they had a great advantage against the other humans. Especially those royal guards of Alterac, who were completely dumbfounded. Because before this, they were explicitly told by Aiden that they were going to join the Horde, so these heroes and followers of the Horde were like father figures to them. Who knew the Horde would slaughter them like pigs and dogs!

Orgrim glanced at Duke next to the throne and sighed inwardly: A miscalculation!

If Samuro was still controlling King Aiden, this would be the best time to force the people of Alterac to rebel. But now it was Duke who was holding Aiden's life in his hands!

Of course, Aiden was no fool. Duke saving him from Samuro was not simply to save him, did he really think Duke was some kind of saint?

Whether he and his Alterac liked it or not, they were now back on the Alliance's war chariot.

Jump off?

Sure! Go die now!

As a cunning and double-dealing king, Aiden shouted as soon as he ensured his own safety: "For the Alliance! Kill those damned Horde!"

What an actor!

One moment he was saying 'I love you, Horde,' and the next he turned his gun around and shouted 'Grandpa Alliance is my real ancestor.'

He shouted so smoothly, without changing his expression, as if it was a matter of course, even the most experienced politicians would be ashamed.

But he shouted, he shouted grandly.

Even when he saw Orgrim's infamous hammer coming at him, the huge black square-headed hammer rapidly enlarging in his vision, he never changed his words.

Because King Aiden had placed a bet.

Orgrim was certainly formidable, forcing Aiden almost into a corner. But Duke was clearly superior! This kind of preemptive strike was not something a 16-year-old should have!

Aiden couldn't turn back this time.

He could only hope to leave Orgrim behind, get a decent record of the battle, and then try to bribe Duke to ensure that no one in the Alliance would pursue him and Alterac.

Duke blinked again, taking Aiden with him.

In a flash of light, Aiden was taken from his throne by Duke to the side hall entrance on the right.

A mage fighting a warrior is just so elegant and light.

Duke smiled and waved at Orgrim, then raised his hand, and a huge ice wall, 10 meters high and over two meters thick, immediately separated Orgrim and the Horde from all the nobles of Alterac.

"Retreat now!" Duke shouted, finally waking up the nobles who were scared silly.

These people, who were only noble in name, looked far from noble at this moment. They were all running in panic towards the side door where Duke was.

Yes! After Duke cut off the Horde and the main door of the great hall was blocked, there was the only way to survive.

Everyone was rushing to run there.

Then, a storm swept up.

The Blademaster's!

In Aiden's terrified and indecisive gaze, all the upper nobility of Alterac was cut into pieces by an orc Blademaster who had been lurking near the side door.

Limbs, blood, flesh...

The nobles who had once gathered under Aiden's command, who Aiden considered his most important pillars, were completely wiped out right in front of Aiden!
