Chapter 2: Sela Blue
Joesh suddenly got scared.
She caught his gaze and explained, "Your life is in danger anyway… the Core inside you is very valuable and dangerous!"
"Dangerous?" Joesh was already confused by the recent events, now she was saying things that were even more confusing.
"So I had to die for you to get that thing inside me?" he asked with a grim expression.
She nodded.
Joesh froze in mid-thought because he believed she was capable of killing him even if he refused.
That woman was surprised by his response, if it were someone else, they wouldn't be as calm as him by what she had said…
"Okay, but before you kill me, can you grant me one wish..." He looked at her and asked.
Her expression changed, she understood what he would wish! However, she calmly asked, "What is it?"
"I want one million dollars, give me that money," he said with a smile.
"Money?"
"Yes, Money! But… if you don't have that many, can you at least give me 100,000 dollars?"
She was shocked by his words. He wants money? Not what she thought?
"Okay, I will give you that money." She considered it a good deal; for her, a million dollars was nothing to be concerned about. "I don't know and I don't care why you want that money, but I will take that core inside you within six hours."
"Six hours?"
She pulled a black credit card out of her pocket and handed it to him, saying, "Yes, I had to take it before six hours, or else you will turn into a monster."
Joesh ignored her words and looked at the card with excitement; He felt as though all of his luck was working in his favor at the end of his life.
"Thank you…"
"I should be the one thanking you." She had never met someone like Joesh before, he was not special or anything, but she felt he was not like other people...
"W-what is your name?" Joesh wanted to ask this when he first saw her, but he only dared to ask now.
"Sela Blue."
Joesh nodded happily. "But... what happened here?"
"Don't worry about it; this is not our world," she said, making some signs with her hands.
Suddenly, everything in front of them changed. They stood on top of his bed. His bed wasn't that messy—just an unfolded blanket.
"You don't have much time, do anything you want to do with that money," Sela Blue said and stepped down off the bed.
"Okay," Joesh also jumped off the bed. "I will go and visit my parents first."
Sela Blue followed him as Joesh walked out of his room, he couldn't care about the broken door, he was welcomed by a bright day. He covered his face and looked at the sun.
"Long time friend," he said with a smile
Sela Blue remained silent.
"Mhm… you don't have to follow me to my parents' house?" Joesh said to her as she was following him.
She said calmly, "I'll keep my distance"
"I won't run away or anything…" Joesh smiled.
"You can't even if you try to, if you really go 50 feet away from me, you will be targeted by the monsters here, if your luck is bad, you will be hunted by Evil Cults," she said to him, telling him that she was protecting him.
"Oh… the world is really filled with mysteries, even though I thought this kind of thing existed, I didn't believe it. Even now, it somewhat feels like a dream"
"You know nothing, the world is big and dangerous," Sela Blue said with a serious expression.
"Sela Blue-san… can you tell me about the thing inside me now?" he asked as they walked towards his parents' house, which was not that far; it would only take 20 minutes to walk from his apartment.
"San? You are not Japanese, right?" She raised an eyebrow. Joesh was not Japanese… but his heart was Japanese.
"No, but you look like someone who just came out of anime, so I wanted to use it"
Sela Blue was shocked by his words, what did he mean by that?
"Ah, I didn't mean to offend you, I am just saying your beautiful"
"Whatever," she ignored his words and looked around, "the thing inside you is a core of a monster called Lightning Curse, I tried to kill it and take its core, but it escaped at the last second. Still dead though, but inside you."
"Inside me?"
"Yes, it broke through the Rough World, with all its power, maybe, by mistake, it entered your body and couldn't heal the injuries, so it died."
"Monster… so it's dead inside me? That is why its core is inside me?"
"Yes, and also you might have wondered why you ended up in Rough World. It's because no one can escape Rough World, only very few people who are very strong can leave it; Lightning Curse would have been able to escape if it had been in peak condition since it's a very strong monster, but it was so weak at that time, it could only break through and enter your body, and Rough World sensed its Aura inside you and drew you in."
Joesh nodded, he somehow understood it. "So there are supernatural monsters?"
Sela Blue nodded, she felt she talked a lot today...
"I have another question too… why did it appear in my place?" He asked her
Sela Blue stayed silent.
"Monsters respond to Dead Desire places, your place was one and it was filled with negative energy…"
Joesh was a little confused. Dead Desire? His place was filled with negative energy?
"Do you really want to know everything?" she said with a tired expression, she had never talked this much in her entire life. She was trying her best because he was going to die…
Joesh didn't know what to say to her, he was just asking questions and wanted to know some answers.
"Sigh, anyway. Don't ask anything after this... Dead Desire is the name for the place where desires are dead or not fulfilled. Let me give you an example… if you masturbate using porn, and your desires will be at peak condition; at that time, you want something so badly, your emotions will release energy that affects nature around it.
After that energy turns into positive energy if your desires are satisfied, but that wouldn't be in your's case... so your desires were not fulfilled, and the energy turns into negative energy. Sela Blue stopped walking and took a deep breath.
Joesh's forehead was sweating…
"Now you understand, right? Don't ask me anything for some time," she said and moved back a little.
Joesh looked at her and understood why such a strong monster like the Lightning Curse Monster came to his place… and to the place of his computer…
