Chapter 3: The Attempt
However, the thought of the impending training still weighed on my mind. It seemed like there was no escaping it, no matter how much I resisted.
"I'm definitely escaping," I told myself, determined to find a way out.
As the morning passed, it was now 4 am. I heard a knock on the door, and I recognized the voice—it was Lidiya, the half-Russian, half-Japanese maid.
I knew it... 4 am is the start of the training. Good thing I predicted it, as my father used to wake me up at this time for training until 6 am.
More importantly, I had prepared for this moment and was already in position, hidden on the edge of the ceiling.
The door opened, and Lidiya entered the bedroom.
"Hoo~ So this is Ryo-sama's room... It definitely smells like him~" she murmured as she walked to the bed and patted the decoy I had set up—a pillow covered by a blanket.
"Ryo-sama, it's time for your training," she said, shaking the decoy.
"Hm? Well well, that was quite an act of me, of course, silly me..." Lidiya suddenly turned her gaze to the corner of the ceiling. "Ryo-sama, what are you doing up there?"
Urgk! She noticed me?!
I immediately dropped down to the floor.
"Good morning, Lidiya. How about we talk this out, yes?"
"Of course~ Let's talk this out~" she replied cheerfully, slowly taking out an object from under her skirt, slightly revealing her red underwear.
The object seemed longer and more elongated—it was a baton? And it started making a shocking sound. Wait... That's a stun baton!?
"Ryo-sama~ Don't be stubborn and come with me," she said, her face still bright and innocent.
Don't give me that kind of expression while holding that thing, you psycho!
"Heh... Yeah, I'll do it..." I slowly walked over to her, trying to keep up the act. "Let's go..."
Lidiya seemed to be confused, tilting her head slightly. "That seems easy?" she said, but before she could react, I quickly spun and tried to kick her.
However, my kick was easily blocked by the baton.
"Ara~ How stubborn. Whatever you do, it won't work, you know?~"
She blocked it!? She didn't even flinch!
I immediately dropped my leg and ran to the window, jumping out and rolling down to land on the floor.
But as I looked up, I realized I was already surrounded by other maids.
Lidiya gracefully landed on the ground, her smile still confident. "I told you, it won't work~"
Urgk, I'll have to try something else!
Thinking quickly, I reached into my waist and pulled out a decoy grenade that resembled a flashbang. With a swift throw, I shouted, "Flashbang!"
Everyone immediately covered their eyes and stepped back, giving me a brief moment to escape. I took advantage of the situation and ran as fast as my legs could carry me.
But then, I heard Lidiya's voice again. "It's not a flashbang... but a decoy grenade!? Everyone, after him!"
That's right, it was just a decoy grenade designed to resemble a flashbang. I had printed an image of a flashbang and covered it around the decoy grenade to create the illusion.
As I continued to run, I looked back and saw some maids swiftly closing in on me.
Ahh, I wish I could embrace you guys one by one... I'm getting turned on just by seeing you all chase me, and it makes me feel really special... Though again... They are assassins.
I sighed, trying to shake off any distracting thoughts as I climbed over fences and leaped from roof to roof
I turned around, noticing that the other maids weren't following me anymore.
I stopped running and jumped down to another roof, taking a moment to catch my breath. "They're not following..." I sighed in relief, about to sit down when I suddenly heard a footstep from behind. Instinctively, I ducked down.
There was a maid behind me with orange hair, done in a medium-long, loose style, and blue eyes. "Hello, Ryo-sama!~"
She greeted me cheerfully, thrusting her stun baton towards me. I quickly dodged and attempted to counter with my palm strikes.
"My name is Sakaguchi Yukiko!" she continued, seemingly unfazed by our combat. "I'm experienced with assassination since I was age 10! Let's get along, Ryo-sama~"
Is she seriously introducing herself while fighting!?
I tried to create some distance between us, attempting to jump to another roof, but she grabbed my collar and effortlessly threw me to the other side of the roof.
How is she so strong!?
I quickly got back on my feet as she jumped towards me, attempting a plunging attack with her stun baton.
"Oh?~ As expected of Master's son! Truly an acrobat and good at dodging!"
"Thank you, but no thanks."
I immediately ran away, jumping from roof to roof, trying to put as much distance between us as possible.
"Ah! Where are you going, Ryo-sama!" Yukiko's voice echoed as she continued to chase after me. Her footsteps were getting closer.
But as I jumped to another rooftop, I was caught off guard by another maid who suddenly appeared.
I quickly sidestepped.
Her hair was jet black, done in a medium-short style, and she had turquoise eyes. She seemed timid, and Yukiko called her "Nana-chan."
"Nana?" I thought to myself, trying to remember her name.
Nana looked at me with uncertainty before slowly revealing a stun gun from her back.
Shit! I'm caught!
Before I could react, she shot me with the stun gun, and I felt a surge of electricity course through my body.
The world around me blurred as I lost control of my muscles, and I dropped down from the roof.
Everything went black as I fell into unconsciousness. The last thing I heard was Yukiko's voice calling out to me in the distance.
As I drifted into darkness, I knew that my escape attempt had failed, and I was now at the mercy of these skilled maids
It seemed that no matter how much I tried to resist or evade them, they were always one step ahead.
