Chapter 6: Is this a boot camp!?

Ahh... It's morning... supposed to be a good morning after all... yet... it's 4:30 AM.

"Sorata-sama! Where's your energy!? Do another ten laps!" Lidiya shouted like a drill sergeant.

"Yes ma'am!!!"

Why am I running laps in my own house!? I'm supposed to be woken up by a maid with a kind smile and gentle care, saying 'Good morning.' Why am I being trained like a soldier!?

I stopped running and panted. "I don't want to train!"

"Sorry, Ryo-sama, your father's orders are absolute," Kasumi said, watching me.

"Are you tired already?! I've seen old men fuck with more energy than you!!" Lidiya shouted.

"What the heck do you mean by that!?"

I sighed. "I just want to sleep, I'm still sleepy."

Well, I was playing visual novels all night and slept at 1 AM... No need for the details about the visual novel since it's just adult content anyway.

"Ryo-sama! If you're tired of running laps, how about climbing the fence over and over!" She pointed.

"You're not serious, are you?"

"What's with the half-assed sad response!"

"ARE YOU SERIOUS!?"

"Yes!"

"Also, why are you sounding like a drill sergeant!?"

She cleared her throat with a smile, and her normal voice came back. "Well, I always wanted to try those lines where I would degrade them."

"Uwah... You can change your voice!?"

"Yeah~ From cutesy to..." Her voice deepens. "Deeep.."

"Scary!?"

"Now then..." Her voice went back to a drill sergeant tone. "CLIMB UP OVER AND OVER!"

"No!?"

Kasumi then thrust the stun baton on my back.

"Ack!"

I felt the electric jolt in my muscles as I fell to the ground. "What was that for!?"

"Punishment~"

"Huh!? That's the first time I've heard about this! You shouldn't hurt your master, y'know!?"

"What do you mean, Ryo-sama? It's not hurting, but discipline~"

"Oi... Don't tell me... You're enjoying this."

Kasumi looked away, whistling innocently.

"I can tell you're enjoying it!"

Lidiya couldn't help but chuckle at our banter. "Oh, it's quite entertaining, Ryo-sama. But we're just doing our duty to ensure you become a strong and capable master."

"As if!"

"Teehee~ You're just imagining things, Ryo-sama~" Kasumi replied with a mischievous grin.

"Shut it!"

Lidiya chimed in with her drill sergeant voice again. "Enough talking! Back to climbing!"

I groaned and got back on my feet. As I started to climb the fence over and over, I couldn't help but think that my life had taken a bizarre turn. From a normal high school student to being trained by assassin maids and enduring electric shocks as a form of "discipline."

"Just a little longer, Ryo-sama! You're doing great!" Kasumi encouraged me with a bright smile.

I muttered under my breath, "Yeah, I'm doing great... just fantastic..."

After climbing the fence over and over, I fell to the ground, panting and exhausted.

"I can't do this," I muttered.

"That's enough, Newbie!"

"Who are you calling Newbie!?"

"Anyway, time for some sparring session!"

"What do you mean!?"

Lidiya snapped her fingers, and another maid showed up.

"Nana..."

"Good morning, Ryo-sama." She bowed timidly. "I heard you're gonna do a spar with me."

"Who told you?"

Nana slowly looked at my back. "Lidiya."

I turned back to Lidiya with a pale face.

"NOW THEN! Begin!"

Huh!?

Nana immediately dashes over to me and started punching me in the stomach, causing me to fall back to the ground.

Oof! That hurts as hell!

I sighed as I assumed a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) hybrid stance.

"Ryo-sama, using Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, I see," Lidiya nodded.

"Since when did Ryo-sama know how to fight like that?" Kasumi asked, amused.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art and combat sport that originated in Brazil and has gained worldwide popularity. It focuses on ground fighting and grappling techniques, to control and submit an opponent through joint locks and chokeholds.

BJJ is often referred to as the "gentle art" because it emphasizes using technique and leverage rather than relying on brute strength.

BJJ traces its roots back to traditional Japanese Jiu-Jitsu, which was brought to Brazil by Mitsuyo Maeda (known as Count Koma), a Japanese judoka and member of the Kodokan.

"Right now, Ryo-sama is doing a hybrid stance," Lidiya said, rubbing her chin as she looked at me.

Stand with one foot forward and the other foot back, creating an angle between my lead foot and my opponent. The lead foot should be on the same side as your dominant hand.

Keep most of my weight on my back foot, allowing myself to move and pivot quickly. My front foot should also be light to enable quick checks and kicks. Keep my hands up to protect my head and face.

My lead hand (same side as your lead foot) should be slightly forward and closer to my opponent, while my rear hand guards my face.

Keep my head slightly tilted forward with my chin tucked, and my eyes focused on my opponent. This helps protect my chin from being exposed as a target.

After assuming the hybrid stance, I decided to utilize my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills.

I focused on Nana, who was still in her kickboxing stance. We circled each other cautiously, waiting for the right moment to engage.

Nana's striking was quick and precise, but I aimed to close the distance and take the fight to the ground.

I baited her with a feinted punch, and as she tried to counter, I swiftly grabbed her leg and took her down to the ground.

"it was a feint!?" Nana said

Once on the ground, I worked to control her position while avoiding her submission attempts.

Nana was skilled in grappling as well!? Damn it, I have to be cautious not to leave any openings, or else I'll get a lockdown!

After a back-and-forth struggle, I managed to secure a dominant position and pinned Nana to the ground.

"Well done, Ryo-sama. Your ground game is impressive," she said while slightly panting.

"Your just going easy on me, aren't you..."

"I wonder."

As the spar ended, Lidiya and Kasumi applauded from the sidelines.

"I didn't know Ryo-sama is good at Jiu-jitsu."

"It was a good display of technique," Kasumi added.

"I wouldn't call myself good." I slowly let go of Nana and stood up.

"Now then, Ryo-sama, after the spar... You have to do 50 sit-ups and 50 push-ups."

My face went pale as I slowly looked at Lidiya. "You're kidding."

"DO I LOOK LIKE I'M NOT!?" Her voice went back to drill sergeant mode again.

"Can you stop with the voice already?!"

"Heehee, I'm liking it."

I groaned as I started doing this stupid regimen... It was exhausting, and I wanted to end it early...

As I struggled to complete the last few push-ups, the maids cheered me on, encouraging me to push through the fatigue.

"I'm so done...."

Wait... Are these even necessary to become an assassin...?!
