Chapter 23: Chapter 2️⃣1️⃣ - Yuki Training (2)
- Day three
At the training facility, I arrived early as Yuki wasn't there yet.
'Mass huh?' I thought finishing my stretches.
'Her technique Mass It comes off like she can grant her shikigami Garuda & her Mass. It don't affect her as she increased her speed during our fight' My eyes widened 'The reason why my blood net burst was because Yuki made herself more immense than what my net can contain due to her Mass. If my theory is right then Nanami's curse technique wouldn't work on her due to her technique making her unrecognizable'
"What is she going all out look like?" I mumbled.
"Oh, you came early." Yuki said arriving.
"What can I say wanted to get a head start." I said smiling a bit.
"Nice." Yuki said moving swiftly at me & doing a push kick. Utilizing my right hand I swat the kick delivering my counter kick to Yuki's face but she swerved the attack.
"Just straight into battle? & you're not employing Grauda & your curse technique?" I questioned capturing Yuki's fist near my stomach.
"You already warm up. No, I don't want to kill you today." Yuki said laughing. "Plus I don't need to use my technique."
Evading a kick I seize her leg with my left hand & went to palm-strike Yuki in her right arm. With her right leg, she leaps up & blocks it with her foot.
Clutching her foot with my left hand I yanked her down.
*BOOM
Stepping back dust everywhere I couldn't see where Yuki was at.
Glancing to the side I see Yuki's first & with both of my arms I manipulated curse energy in both my arms to lessen the attack.
Pulling her arm I tugged her closer to me like I did to Utahime sensei. I go to knee her but she blocks with her other hand.
Not needing to see Yuki's next attack my body automatically threw my guard up after sensing a source of cursed energy reaching to strike my stomach.
It was Yuki's right fist. Envelop curse energy in my stomach the attack did a lil damage. But if added with curse energy & her technique I probably would've become a donut.
Backpedaling I threw a jab to reestablish the distance between us.
Closing my eyes for 1 second I took a deep breath.
leaping onto Yuki, rounding a massive kick to her side Yuki had hooked her arm around my ankle, & slammed down onto it with a guillotine of an elbow strike to my knee.
Resulting in me leaping back on one leg.
Boxing up I began reinforcing my body with curse energy.
'Tch I can't dodge all because of her attack'
Manipulating my blood I had to try to smooth out my knee before I attack again. After no less than two minutes of getting beaten, I discovered a habit.
Two jabs to my blocking arms an uppercut to the gut a jab to my right arm & a kick to my arms.
'She must be doing this on purpose'
"What are going to do? Make a move Kamo." Yuki declared sighing. "I could've broken your guard ages ago."
'Damnit She's right but she's gonna do that pattern again & my window is approaching'
"Remember to concentrate on the flow of your energy. Joined together as one." Yuki called out
Countering the pattern I widened one of my eyes as flowing red scale was activated. Looking down I notice Yuki's fist in slow mode lowering my right hand I pinpoint where I wanted to attack.
I waited for the precise moment. A millionth of a second.
Now.
I felt my body weight get heavy around my waist as Yuki began backpedaling. Extending my arm a crackle of Black Flash rents the air.
I saw black sparks clapping through the air.
'Black flash...'
Everything was clear. Everything was connected.
"Congratulations Noritoshi you now accumulated intensive knowledge of how your energy flows & works. Manipulating cursed energy becomes second nature like breathing." Yuki illustrated grinning.
"I understand...everything." I proclaimed
"Yeah yeah, next step is Domain expansion." Yuki declared waving her hand. "Since you have experienced black flash you are functioning at 120%. Do you perhaps have an anti-Domain Technique?" Yuki questioned
"Yeah, I have a domain counter though it's a secret technique passed down in the big three families." I said
"Most people with Domain expansion don't have a counter to domain expansion. To have both barrier techniques in your arsenal you are pretty much prepared for any type of battle situation or the worst-case scenarios." Yuki pointed out. "Anyways I want you to focus on building the barrier. No technique inside of it your just gonna erect the barrier."
"When activating a domain it requires you to gather & activate a lot of your cursed energy but desire, & greed is the key element in a sorcerer's life. You're casting with a greedy quantity of desire to claim the space as your own." Yuki said putting together her hands.
"Creating your own blank space in the barrier lets your Innate Domain take shape. A Domain is a manifestation or reflection of an individual environment that exists in their mind." Yuki declared.
"Mmm ok." I said sighing a bit.
"Now cast the barrier of the Domain without overthinking. You won't have a precise name for your Domain but still chant it." Yuki conveyed
Memory of Curtains & Falling Blossom Emotion I have cast in my life taking inspiration from all those.
With my right hand, I put the tip of my thumb & ring finger together & with my left hand I moved the tip of my thumb & middle finger together.
"Domain Expansion!" I chanted as a black sphere consumed me & Yuki.
The two of us stood in darkness. It was like a starless night with no star or planet the air had no fragrance other than my & Yuki's scent.
"Wow..." I said taking in the domain it was silence I could hear my heartbeat & my blood rushing. The air was clean the temperature was neutral not cold or hot.
"Nice job Kamo." Yuki said swatting me on the back grinning. "I'm pleased our training method was as effective as you'll be flowing along well when we add onto the Domain."
'Would my domain be something like Megumi? What would my sure hit be?'
"..."
"Are you listening?" Yuki said
"Sorry was just thinking how my domain would look like with my technique. I'm excited." I said smiling.
"Drop your domain." Yuki said
Doing what was told I released my domain as if it was any other technique I was conserving. The Black orb dissipated & the space around us returned to normal reality.
"You're cursed energy reserves are remarkable but a complete Domain Expansion would carve out additional than half your max cursed energy from a single use." Yuki declared
"Yeah." I said looking at my curse energy reserves.
"I want you to cast Domain as many times as you can with your remaining cursed energy to fully accustom yourself to the sensation. So when you aren't in the Black Flash zone you can utilize it as normal." Yuki spoke up analyzing me.
I then proceeded to cast the Domain ten other times & studied it all further for an hour. Each casting I concentrated on the sensations of the space over & over again until the space felt as familiar as the sensation of something like Falling Blossom emotion.
"Good job tonight. You made wonderful progress." Yuki declared
"Thank you for helping me so much." I said bowing down.
"Yeah, Yeah no problem kid get some sleep our next spar is going to be brutal I am using my curse technique & Garuda. Of course, I would hold back but not like before I aim to hurt you." Yuki declared
'I want to force him to activate his domain expansion with his technique & boost. I want him to become comfortable in using his domain though' Yuki thought
"Oh by the way I'm giving you three days to accustom yourself with your domain." Yuki said leaving the training ground.
