Chapter 85: Chapter 85 - Hosting the Winter Breeze
As soon as I separated from Sylvia, the girls and I started to move towards the inn we had found earlier. After a few minutes of walking, we arrived at a 2-story building. The construction was relatively nice and well-kept, but in general, it looked like a building you would see in another world.
Although we couldn't see the inside, there was some noise coming from within, indicating that it was quite lively. Anyway, as it was already night, it would probably be quite crowded because of the time of day.
With determined steps, the girls and I moved towards the door. As soon as my hand touched the doorknob, a feeling hard to describe settled in my mind. Usually, this was a very cliché scene in manga and anime where the protagonist goes to another world.
Some drunken people might think you are weak and try to hit on the girls that are with you. As soon as this thought crossed my mind, a tired sigh escaped my lips. I really hoped that nothing flashy or problematic would happen.
As soon as I opened the door, the noise suddenly ceased, causing me to take a closer look at the place. In general, the inside was quite elegant, although it didn't seem to be expensive. Almost all the furniture was made of wood, and there were some people sitting at tables eating what looked like dinner.
From where I was standing, the view wasn't very good, but it seemed to be a meat stew, although I didn't know what kind of meat they were using. Along with this, there was a glass that looked like an alcoholic drink. Since everyone present was an adult, I doubted they were drinking juice.
Although some people were looking at us, they didn't necessarily seem bothered by our presence. If I had to describe it, I guess this was a common reaction when new people enter a place you are in. After looking at us for a few seconds, everyone just ignored us and went back to doing what they were doing before, be it eating, drinking, or talking to their companions.
Seeing this, I was relieved, as it seemed no problems were going to happen. With this in mind, I started walking towards the counter, where there was a rather kind-looking woman.
"Welcome to Winter Breeze Hosting. Can I help you with anything?"
Said the woman with a welcoming smile on her face, just as I had previously thought she seemed to be a rather kind and inviting person.
"I wanted to rent a room for me and my companions for a week. Is that possible?"
I asked as I looked at the woman. As soon as she heard my words, she picked up a notebook and started to write something down. Seeing this, I was momentarily surprised to learn that there was white paper in this world.
To tell you the truth, I couldn't see the slightest difference between this paper and the one in my world. A few seconds later, the woman looked at me again with a smile on her face, answering my question right away.
"We have some vacant rooms, yes. Would you like separate rooms, or will everyone sleep in the same room?"
Asked the woman as she looked at all of us. Well, how to say, even I can tell it would be a little weird for a guy to sleep in the same room with 4 girls and not think something had happened.
"Prepare 3 rooms, please. Two of them will sleep in each one, while I will sleep alone"
I said as I looked at the woman. Hearing my words, the woman nodded and picked up three keys that seemed to be under the counter.
"Those are the room keys. The room numbers are on the keys"
She said as she showed me where the numbers were on the keys.
"The stairs to the second floor are in that direction"
Said the woman as she pointed to the side. As soon as I looked in the direction she was pointing, I actually saw that there was a set of stairs leading to the second floor. As soon as I confirmed the information, I turned to the woman again and thanked her before heading towards the stairs.
"Thank you"
I said as I walked towards the stairs, being followed by my companions. Once we reached the flight of stairs, we walked up until we reached the second floor. The hallway was relatively long and narrow and contained several doors, each one stamped with a number on it, probably to make it easier when it came time to use the key.
"Saemi and Aoi-sensei, you two will take the room next to mine, while Fujiwara and Ana will take the room next door"
I said as I looked at them. Hearing my words, they all nodded. As soon as I handed the key to them, they all went towards the designated room and entered. The only person left was me. With a small sigh, I walked to my room and unlocked it using the key.
With the room unlocked, I simply opened the door and entered. The room that appeared before me was quite simple and there was nothing luxurious or expensive. There was only a bed next to a desk, and on the wall was a window that showed the outside.
In general, this was simply a room for sleeping. Well, this suited me fine since I didn't intend to stay here for long. At most, it will be until we get the money to buy our own residence, and that will start from tomorrow as soon as we register as adventurers. With this thought in mind, I walked to the bed, removed my shoes, and lay down.
Another thing we will need to consider is our clothes. As we walked around the city, I noticed that there were several people looking at us strangely. With this thought in mind, I lay down on the bed and slowly began to close my eyes.

I thought as my mind slowly began to drift away, and I fell asleep.
