Chapter 90: Tightrope Tempest

Chronos felt a sudden surge of pressure building up within the abyss.

RIIIINNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGG !!!

Before he could react, a deafening sonic boom erupted from within the void.

The sound was overwhelming, a piercing scream that cut through Chronos's mind like a blade. 

The pain was so intense that he couldn't even think straight, and he found himself clutching at his ears, trying to block out the noise.

But it was no use. 

The sound was inside his head, and it was driving him to the brink of madness. 

The ringing seemed to go on forever, a thousand knives stabbing at his consciousness with searing pain.

The pain was unbearable, a blinding agony that threatened to overwhelm his senses.

It seemed to come from within his own mind, a high-pitched whine that threatened to drive him to madness.

His vision blurred, and he stumbled, the narrow virtual tightrope swaying dangerously beneath him.
