Chapter 5: The magic of sword

A young man was roaming the dark side of the forest, with the path being snowy and dark and no moon in sight.

Despite the eerie atmosphere, he felt a sense of peace and solitude. His mind began to wander, and he found himself lost in thought.

As he trudged through the snow, he couldn't help but wonder what lay ahead. Would he find what he was looking for, or would the darkness swallow him whole?

Even more disturbing was the image of his friend reaching out to someone while drinking blood from a girl he had brought with him. This was an abhorrent and inexcusable act that should not be tolerated. But then who was there to stop him from doing whatever he wanted?

Noah shook his head as he stopped in front of Elliott and said. "Don't kill her yet. Let's take a moment and think this through," his friendly tone indicated that he was in agreement with the idea, and he wanted to make sure that everyone was on the same page.

It was sad to hear that Harrison had found out about the death of one of his students at the hands of Elliott, but to make sure the girl was still alive, he felt relieved.

Noah's emotions were mixed, but he attempted to stay calm as he described the horrific occurrence. Despite the bad news, he emphasised the necessity of being there for one another during this tough time.

It was understandable that Noah was unsure of what would happen next, as both Harrison and Elliott had had their differences in the past due to Elliott's moody and rude behaviour. It was important to remember that even in difficult times, it's important to remain calm and try to find a peaceful resolution.

They were the last people you'd expect to be involved in anything strange or mysterious, because they just didn't hold with such nonsense.

Elliott voiced his displeasure with a whine after being interpreted. He gave his friend a death stare before turning to face the girl, his face expressing his unhappiness with the situation.

"Go back from where you have come and forget what happened here," he dismissed the girl. Who ran from there as if she were running from the predator. Elliott laughed at her and shook his head.

"What brought you here?" He turned to face Naoh with a witty smile.

"Harrison asked for us to meet in his office tomorrow," Noah informed him, and Elliott rolled his eyes at the invitation. It was not new when William called them, and tomorrow will be the same.

"What does he want now?"

"It must have something to do with the girl." Noah had a creepy smile as he observed Elliott's back as he walked towards the university. He followed him behind hurriedly to hear what he said.

"That girl has a name," he snapped back.

"As you care," Noah smirked, while Elliott just shook his head and made his way back to his room. He knew Noah had been making fun of him since that girl came into their lives.

Elliott entered the university and was wandering towards the front office when he noticed a bag that he saw on Lauren's back. He stared at it for another second before he walked away.

He stopped in front of the parking lot when he felt something unusual. He gulped, this really started happening, he thought in disbelief.

He closed his eyes in anger and tried to calm himself, because this was not the time to be furious about things that were not in his hands.

He could taste fear in the air and felt her breathing heavy, as if she would pass out in another minute.

He ran inside at a light speed that no one would be able to run at, but he was a pureblood vampire. He held many more abilities than an average vampire.

He was born with these abilities and trained to use them. He was able to run faster than a bullet and jump higher than any human being could dream of doing. He saw the monster running towards a car, but it was running far too slowly for him to catch up with. He ran faster and faster until he was at a full out sprint.

He grasped the monster in his hand and threw it away. It fell on top of the car and then on the ground. It groaned louder before charged after him.

As a monster, its power was incredible, but Elliott was much more powerful than him. Elliott curved his lips into what seemed to be a smile, so devious no one would be able to bear a glance.

Then, out of nowhere, as if time had merely jumped forward, the beast pounced. There was also the lingering scent of motor oil and tyre rubber everywhere.

"Badargos!" Elliott spelled something in his breaths, and in the next second, a silver sword was in his right hand. With a deep breath, Elliott called forth the ancient magic of the amulet and channeled it into the sword.

As he raised the weapon, a wave of energy emanated from it, causing the malicious spirits to cower and retreat.

The sword glinted as Elliott swung it, aiming for the creature's neck. The amulet's power grew stronger as his rival retreated in terror. As he stood there, brandishing the weapon, the amulet pulsed with a soft light, its power infusing him with a sense of invincibility. Elliott smiled to himself; with this sword in his hand, he felt powerful.

Elliott ran towards it, but he seemed to tyre and his blade sagged. He was obviously rushing to take advantage.

Raising his sword to deliver a mighty cut, but it had been a ruse. His blade came up in a lightning thrust straight to the heart. The thing just finished in the air, the black shadows formed and then vanished before Lauren could witness anything.

"The blade works good after so many years," he praised his royal sword in his hand. He felt movements behind him and looked from his shoulder where he found her standing almost lifelessly.

Lauren felt a sudden chill and wondered if it was just her imagination. She decided to brush off the odd feeling and turn her attention back to her surroundings. As for the man, he knew that his sword had been a loyal companion in countless battles and hoped it would continue to serve him well.

His eyes met hers, and he saw her collapsing on the ground with a thud. Her breaths were shallow and rapid, her face twisted in pain.

He quickly assessed her injuries, searching for any visible wounds or broken bones, but found none. Panic flooded through him as he realized that she might be experiencing an internal injury that could be life-threatening.

He lifted her head gently, supporting it with his hands, and urged her to look at him. Her eyes fluttered open, and he saw the fear and confusion in their depths.

"Hey, stay awake," he whispered, trying to keep his own voice steady. "Do you hear me? Everything's going to be okay. Just stay awake."

He pushed a few hair strands away from her eyes. After admiring her beauty, his eyes moved towards her mobile, which was lying on the ground beside her.

He held it in his veiny hands and looked at it closely before opening it. He glanced at her and then at the phone, which was already unlocked.

She hasn't set a password on her cellphone, 'good girl," he murmured. He went through her contacts, which he knew wasn't his business to check. But then he entered his phone number and the ringtone of his mobile phone rang.

He smirked before putting the phone in his pocket. His dark glacial red eyes twinkled with wickedness. He carried her on his arms without any effort because she was weightless for him. He walked out of the parking lot with a smile on his lips.

As walked away, he knew he couldn't let her go. He had to see her again, to make sure she was okay. In that moment, he knew that his life had changed forever.
