Vandir's POV
i've been a criminal for close to thirty years now, be it stealing, assault, even murder, i've done it all, so when me and the boys are playing cards in our alley, and the goddamn prince stumbles in i thought that maybe the gods were trying to say something, unfortunately for them, id never been the religious type.
whipping out my dagger and making a couple quick steps towards the prince

tobias turned upon hearing footsteps to see a muscular tanned man step forwards with some kind of homemade knife, it was just a metal point tied to a piece of pinewood, but it did more than a good job at intimidating Tobias,
"listen hear, 'your majesty'," said the man sarcastically, " i'm only going to say this once, because i'm goddamn tired, you're gonna stay quite until i say so," the man had gotten close know, and was just over a meter away from Tobias.
before Tobias could have a reaction he felt a strong hand on his shoulder and was pulled backwards behind the mystery man was, although, it did not remain a mystery for long as tobias had long since known that characteristic white hair.
without drawing his sword Merlock struch his hand forwards and grabbed the "knife" with his bare hand, although, Tobias noticed, that due to some kind of black smoke surrounding his palm, no blood was drawn.
pulling the knife from the terrified bandits grip, Merlock tossed it onto the ground before letting out a "scram," trusting his instincts, Vandir did just that, and took off down the alley way without muttering a word.
judging from the thick atmosphere Tobias knew he had messed up before Merlock even turned around.
"...Merlock, i have never been so lost, one second i was right behind you and the next i was just here!" said Tobias
"Toby," said merlock
"yes...?"
"go to the carriage,"
"understood"
