Chapter 6: The Assassination of King Ilias

ACT 1. PROSPEROUS KINGDOM FALLING

Zalindor is a kingdom renowned for its bountiful natural resources, including fertile lands, mineral deposits, and vast forests. The land produces a variety of grains that serve as a source of food and income for the kingdom, while the mineral deposits have contributed to the economic growth and development of the region. The kingdom's forests, which are home to a diverse range of wildlife, also provide a valuable source of timber for construction and fuel for heating and cooking.

The people of Zalindor have long been known for their skilled craftsmanship and artistic talents, which have enabled them to transform their natural resources into beautiful and functional works of art. The kingdom's artisans create a variety of handcrafted items, including intricate jewelry, fine textiles, and exquisite wood carvings. The resources of Zalindor have not only brought economic prosperity to the kingdom but also contributed to the cultural heritage of the region, as the people take pride in their resources and work hard to ensure their sustainability for future generations.

The tranquil kingdom of Zalindor was abruptly shattered by the thunderous roar of hooves as the ground shook beneath them. The citizens gaped in horror as an army of foreign invaders rode into the city, their weapons glinting ominously in the sunlight. Chaos erupted as the invaders ruthlessly began pillaging the land and taking the kingdom's precious resources by force.

The once-beautiful city was now a warzone, its streets strewn with debris and corpses as the invaders unleashed their fury upon the unsuspecting inhabitants. The people of Zalindor were helpless against the onslaught, their peaceful existence shattered in an instant. The kingdom's once-thriving economy was decimated, as the invaders seized control of the land and plundered its resources for their gain.

As the invaders marched through the city, the people of Zalindor huddled in fear, their once-proud kingdom now a shadow of its former self. The kingdom's cultural heritage was at risk of being erased forever as the invaders showed no mercy and destroyed everything in their path. The future of Zalindor hung in the balance, as its people prayed for a miracle to save their beloved kingdom from total annihilation.

In the land of Zalindor, the sun had set on a once mighty empire. The people had grown complacent, their armies weakened by years of peace. They never thought the day would come when their borders would be breached, their walls shattered, and their homes burned to the ground.

But that day did come. Arandor, a neighboring kingdom, had long coveted Zalindor's riches and resources. And so, with a mighty roar, Arandor's armies descended upon Zalindor like a swarm of locusts.

At first, Zalindor's troops stood firm, their shields raised high, their swords gleaming in the sun. They were proud and brave, determined to defend their land to the bitter end. But they were no match for the might of Arandor's warriors, who swept through their ranks like a scythe through wheat.

Zalindor's troops fought fiercely, but they were outnumbered and outmatched. They fell one by one, their bodies piling up on the blood-soaked earth. The cries of the wounded and dying echoed across the battlefield, a symphony of pain and despair.

And yet, even in the face of certain defeat, some of Zalindor's troops refused to give up. They stood their ground, their eyes blazing with defiance, their hearts filled with the fire of resistance. They knew that they were fighting for something greater than themselves - for their families, for their homes, for their honor.

These brave soldiers charged forward, their swords flashing in the dying light. They hurled themselves at Arandor's army, striking blow after blow, taking down enemy soldiers with every swing. They fought with all their might, refusing to back down or surrender.

But alas, it was all in vain. Arandor's armies were too powerful, too relentless, and too numerous. Zalindor's resistance was futile, like a candle flickering in a storm. And so, in the end, Zalindor fell, its people scattered to the winds, its glory forever lost in the mists of time.

ACT 2. THE DETHRONEMENT

The throne room was silent, the only sound the echoing footsteps of the soldiers as they marched through the marble hallways. King Kaleanthos sat upon his throne, his face etched with lines of worry and fear.

He had known that this day might come and had spent many sleepless nights contemplating what he would do if Arandor's armies ever breached the city walls. But now that it had happened, he felt paralyzed, unable to move or think.

The doors to the throne room burst open, and in marched a group of soldiers, led by a tall, imposing figure with a shock of black hair and a face like a hawk. This was Zephyros, the general of Arandor's armies, and the man who had come to depose King Kaleanthos.

"Well, well, well," Zephyros said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "What have we here? A king who has lost his kingdom?"

Kaleanthos rose to his feet, his eyes flashing with anger. "I will not be intimidated by you," he said. "I am the rightful ruler of this land, and I will defend it with my life if I must."

Zephyros laughed. "Defend it with your life?" he said. "You couldn't even defend it with your army. Your soldiers were no match for mine. You are weak, Kaleanthos, and you know it. It's time for a new king to take the throne."

Kaleanthos clenched his fists, his heart pounding in his chest. He knew that he was outnumbered and outmatched, but he refused to go down without a fight.

"You will never take this throne," he said, his voice low and dangerous. "I will fight you with every breath in my body."

Zephyros smiled, drawing his sword from its sheath. "As you wish," he said. "But I warn you, Kaleanthos - this will not end well for you."

The two men circled each other, their eyes locked in a deadly gaze. The soldiers stood back, watching in silence as the fate of the kingdom hung in the balance.

And then, with a lightning-fast movement, Zephyros struck. The clash of steel echoed through the throne room as he and Kaleanthos battled, their swords ringing against each other in a deadly dance.

But in the end, it was no contest. Zephyros was too skilled, too powerful, and within moments, he had disarmed Kaleanthos, sending his sword clattering to the floor.

Kaleanthos fell to his knees, his head bowed in defeat. Zephyros approached him, his sword raised high.

"Any last words, Kaleanthos?" he asked.

Kaleanthos looked up, his eyes filled with defiance. "Long live Zalindor," he said, his voice strong and clear.

And with that, Zephyros brought down his sword, ending the reign of King Kaleanthos and ushering in a new era of Arandor's rule over Zalindor.

ACT 3. DEVASTATING CHANGE

The conquest of Zalindor by Arandor brought about significant changes in the way of life of its people. King Ilias, the new ruler of the kingdom, had imposed harsh conditions on the Zalindorians, forcing them to work as slaves in the mines that dotted the land.

The mining sites were vast and sprawling, with deep pits that seemed to stretch endlessly into the earth. The people of Zalindor were made to toil in these pits, day and night, digging for precious metals like gold, silver, and titanium.

The work was grueling and dangerous. The air in the mines was thick with dust and smoke, and the tunnels were cramped and dark. The Zalindorians worked with pickaxes and shovels, their muscles aching and their bodies covered in sweat and grime.

As they worked, they were watched over by Arandor's soldiers, who wielded whips and clubs to ensure that they stayed in line. The Zalindorians were treated no better than beasts of burden, forced to work long hours without rest or respite.

Their once proud kingdom was now reduced to a mere source of wealth for Arandor, a place to extract the precious minerals that would line the pockets of King Ilias and his court. The people of Zalindor were powerless to resist, their will crushed by the weight of their new oppressors.

But even in the depths of the mines, a spark of hope remained. The Zalindorians whispered to each other, exchanging stories of a better future, of a time when they would rise against their oppressors and reclaim their freedom.

And so they worked, their hands blistered and calloused, their spirits battered but not broken. They worked, and they waited, for the day when they would be free once more.

As the people of Zalindor toiled in the mines, their once-great kingdom was slowly stripped of its wealth. The riches that had once been a source of pride and power were now plundered and looted by Arandor's soldiers, who took whatever they could get their hands on.

The grand palaces and temples of Zalindor were ransacked, and their treasures seized and hauled away. Gold and silver chalices, precious jewels, and ornate tapestries were torn from their rightful places and taken by force.

The streets of the cities were filled with the sounds of breaking glass and splintering wood as the shops and homes of the Zalindorians were raided. Everything of value was taken, from the finest silks and linens to the humblest pots and pans.

The people of Zalindor watched in horror as their world was destroyed before their very eyes. They saw their cultural heritage being obliterated, their art and music, their poetry and literature, all being swept away by the invaders.

The Zalindorians were left with nothing. Their land was barren, their homes in ruins, and their people were broken and destitute. The once-great kingdom had been reduced to a shadow of its former self, a place of poverty and despair.

But even as they grieved for what they had lost, the people of Zalindor refused to give up. They clung to their identity and their culture, even in the face of adversity. They sang their songs and told their stories, passing down their traditions from one generation to the next.

And though their riches may have been pillaged and looted, the spirit of the Zalindorians could never be broken. They held onto hope, knowing that someday, they would reclaim what had been taken from them and rebuild their kingdom anew.

ACT 4. THE NOXXIANS

The people of Zalindor had endured years of oppression under the rule of Arandor, forced to work as slaves in the mines and watch as their land was pillaged and looted. But even in the darkest of times, a spark of hope remained.

A resistance movement began to grow among the Zalindorian people, a group of brave rebels who refused to be broken by their oppressors. They formed a secret liberation movement, The Noxx, passing messages and information to each other to undermine the Arandor regime.

At first, the resistance movement was small and scattered, but it soon began to grow in strength and numbers. The Noxxians began to carry out daring attacks against Arandor's soldiers and officials, sabotaging supply lines and freeing prisoners from the mines.

The Arandor regime responded with brutal force. They hunted down The Noxx with a ruthless determination, torturing and executing those suspected of involvement in the resistance movement. As the resistance movement grew stronger, so too did the punishment inflicted upon those suspected of involvement. Entire villages were razed to the ground, their inhabitants were massacred to quash the rebellion.

The Noxxians were forced to go into hiding, living in constant fear of discovery and capture. But still, they continued to fight, driven by a fierce determination to reclaim their freedom and their land. The Arandor regime thought that they had finally crushed the resistance movement, but they were wrong. The Noxx continued to fight in secret, their resolve strengthened by the atrocities committed against their people.

The rebellion may have been bloody and brutal, but it was fueled by a deep sense of injustice and a burning desire for freedom. And even as they were hunted down and punished The Noxxians refused to give up, knowing that they were fighting for something far greater than themselves.

ACT 5. DANGEROUS PLAN

The Noxx, a secret liberation movement of Zalindor, had gathered in a dimly lit room, hidden deep beneath the city's winding streets. The walls were rough-hewn stone, and the only light came from flickering torches mounted in sconces along the walls. A musty smell hung in the air, and the sound of water dripping from the ceiling could be heard in the silence.

The leader of The Noxx stood before the assembled rebels, his face set in a stern expression. "Brothers and sisters," he began, "we are facing a great challenge. The Arandors have taken our land and enslaved our people. But we will not stand idly by and watch as they destroy our homes and our way of life."

He paused for a moment, allowing his words to sink in. Then he continued, "I propose that we strike at the heart of the Arandor regime. We must assassinate the king."

A murmur of agreement rippled through the crowd, but one member spoke up, "But how can we even get close to the palace gate? No one has succeeded before."

Another member chimed in, "Yes, and even if we do get close, we will be suspected immediately. We are men, after all."

Silence fell over the room as everyone contemplated the dilemma. But then, suddenly, a woman stepped forward. She had a fierce determination in her eyes.

"I will do it," she said, her voice steady. "I will infiltrate the palace as a servant. No one will suspect a woman, and I am willing to risk everything to help our cause."

The leader of The Noxx turned to Kaivara and asked her to introduce herself.

Kaivara stood up, her long dark hair falling in loose waves around her shoulders. "My name is Kaivara," she said, her voice clear and strong. "I am the daughter of Samsara, a proud Zalindor merchant who was killed by Arandor soldiers."

A murmur of sympathy ran through the group, and Kaivara continued, "My father was trying to defend my mother from being taken as a slave to the mining sites. He helped me escape, and I have been living in hiding ever since."

She paused for a moment, looking around at the faces of the rebels. "But now I am ready to fight back," she said. "I am willing to do whatever it takes to help our cause and rid our land of the Arandor oppressors."

The room erupted into a flurry of discussion as everyone debated the merits and risks of Kaivara's plan. But in the end, they all agreed that it was their best chance at success.

The leader of The Noxx nodded his approval. "Very well, then. We will put our trust in Kaivara and hope that she is successful. We have no choice but to fight back against our oppressors, and we will use whatever means necessary to reclaim our land and our freedom."

The room fell silent, and then one of the rebels spoke up, "Kaivara, your bravery, and sacrifice will not be forgotten. We will do everything in our power to support you and make sure you succeed."

Kaivara nodded, a fierce determination in her eyes. "Thank you," she said. "Together, we will win this fight and bring justice to our people."

After the meeting with The Noxx, Kaivara made her way to her most trusted friend, Celia. She found her waiting for her in a secluded corner of the city.

"Celia," Kaivara said, rushing over to embrace her. "I have so much to tell you."

Celia hugged her back tightly, her face showing concern. "What is it, Kaivara? Is everything all right?"

Kaivara took a deep breath, then said, "The Noxx have come up with a plan to infiltrate the palace and assassinate the Arandor king. And I've volunteered to help."

Celia's eyes widened in shock. "What? How? That's impossible!"

"I know," Kaivara said, "But we have to try. The Noxx think I should go undercover as a servant, but I don't think that's enough."

Celia nodded thoughtfully. "No, it's not. You need to get closer to the king. It takes more than being a servant to do that."

Kaivara frowned. "What do you mean?"

Celia hesitated, then said, "Well, a concubine or a private entertainer would have more access to the king. But..."

Kaivara interrupted her, "I can't be a concubine! And I'm not funny or able to sing or play any instruments!"

Celia put a hand on her shoulder. "Kaivara, you're beautiful, and you're smart. We can work on the rest. We'll find a way to make it work."

Kaivara looked at Celia, feeling grateful for her support. "Thank you, Celia. I couldn't do this without you."

Celia smiled back at her. "We're in this together, Kaivara. Let's make it happen."

ACT 6. DESPERATION

Days turned into weeks, and Celia worked tirelessly to train Kaivara to be a good entertainer. But no matter how hard they tried, Kaivara always stumbled over her words or forgot the song lyrics and had problems with her voice.

As time passed, the Noxx grew increasingly desperate for Kaivara to accomplish her mission. They had put their trust in her, and they had no other options. They were counting on her, and the pressure was mounting.

Kaivara herself felt the weight of the expectations on her shoulders. She had promised to infiltrate the palace, but as the days passed, she felt like she was failing. She was desperate for a solution, for some miracle to happen.

One day, as she was practicing a song with Celia, she suddenly broke down. "God, I'll do anything to make it happen," she cried out. "Give me some miracle. Please."

Celia rushed over to her, putting an arm around her shoulders. "Kaivara, don't lose hope. We'll find a way."

But Kaivara shook her head. "It's too late. The Noxx is counting on me, and I'm letting them down."

Celia looked at her friend, feeling her desperation rising. They had come so far, and yet they seemed no closer to their goal. But she couldn't give up now. "We can't give up, Kaivara. We have to keep trying. We'll find a way."

Kaivara looked at Celia, her eyes filled with tears. "I don't know if I can do this, Celia. I don't know if I'm strong enough."

Celia hugged her tightly. "You are, Kaivara. You're strong enough. We're in this together."

ACT 7. FAMILIAR LOOK

Kaivara's footsteps echoed on the cobblestones as she walked towards her old house. She noticed a gentleman standing in front of it. He was kneeling and sobbing beside his horse. As she got closer, she recognized him as Uncle Gerard, formerly known as Sir Gerard, the most loyal advisor of her father, King Radamir.

"Uncle Gerard," Kaivara exclaimed in surprise. "Is that you?"

Gerard looked up at Kaivara with tears in his eyes. "Yes, Kaivara my dear. I am so happy to see that you are still alive," he said as he stood up and embraced her.

Kaivara was overjoyed to see her uncle after so many years. Gerard explained that he had been living in Arandor after leaving Zalindor due to a business dispute with her father. He had thought he was too late to save the family after the invasion, for it took him a long time to get permission to enter Zalindor from Arandor. He had to bribe the high-ranked officials to get permission.

Kaivara expressed her gratitude for her uncle's efforts to see her, even though he was an Arandorian. Little did she know, her father and uncle were actually from Ardalind.

Gerard invited Kaivara to join him in Arandor by wearing the proper clothes he had just prepared. Kaivara took the chance.

"Thank you, uncle. I'll wear this and follow you," Kaivara said as she held the clothes Gerard gave her.

Kaivara asked permission to say goodbye to Celia. She told Celia to tell The Noxx that she is entering Arandor with her uncle.

Celia nodded. "I understand, Kaivara. Good luck and be careful," she hugged Kaivara tightly.

Kaivara hugged her back. "Thank you, Celia. You've been a true friend to me. I won't forget it," she said as she pulled away.

Gerard and Kaivara then mounted their horses and rode towards Arandor, their hearts filled with hope and determination, but also with fear and uncertainty about what awaited them there.

ACT 8. NEW LIFE IN ARANDOR

As Gerard and Kaivara arrived in Arrandor, Kaivara was amazed by the grandeur of the city. The streets were bustling with activity and the buildings were towering and grandiose. Gerard led Kaivara through the busy streets toward his mansion. When they arrived, Kaivara was impressed by the size and magnificence of the house. The mansion was decorated with fine art and expensive furniture.

Gerard led Kaivara to a grand room filled with armor and weapons as they entered the house. He explained that he built armor for the soldiers of Arandor, and he was one of the best in his field.

Gerard then turned to Kaivara and asked about what happened to her family during the invasion. Kaivara's face fell as she remembered the tragic events. She told Gerard how her father, King Radamir, was killed by Arandor's soldiers and how her mother was taken away for mining slavery. She didn't know what happened to her mother after she was taken by force.

Gerard looked saddened by the news and said, "I'm so sorry, Kaivara. I wish I could have done something to prevent this tragedy."

Kaivara's expression turned serious as she asked, "Uncle Gerard, why did you leave my father? Was it just because of the business dispute?"

Gerard sighed heavily before responding, "Yes, it was. Your father and I disagreed about a business deal with Arandor. I wanted to go through with it, but he refused. He said he didn't want to have anything to do with the kingdom which made him lose his crown and expelled his wife from Ardalind. You were supposed to be a princess from Ardalind, Kaivara."

Kaivara's eyes widened in shock as she heard this. "What do you mean, uncle Gerard? My father was a king and my mom was the queen. And I, I was supposed to be a princess of Ardalind? Was it for real?"

Gerard looked down and hesitated before speaking. "Yes, my dear Kaivara. It was King Erevion, the former ruler of Arandor. He made your father invade Xyrdalathia and tricked your mother with a coup d'tat in Ardalind, so she was dethroned by her board of knights during your father's leaving at Xyrdalathia. Having only immature troops in Xyrdalathia, your father was forced to step down by the neighboring kingdom. That was how your parents lost their crowns, so your father refused to do business with Arandor."

Kaivara's eyes welled up with tears as she heard the truth about her family's fate. "I had no idea, Uncle Gerard. I'm supposed to be a princess. Thank you for telling me."

Gerard placed a comforting hand on her shoulder and said, "I'm here for you, Kaivara. I will do everything in my power to help you get back what was taken from you."

ACT 9. JUST A PIECE OF PARCHMENT

Kaivara was feeling desperate as she needed to update The Noxx about the progress of her mission to infiltrate the palace. She couldn't take it anymore and decided to take a walk to clear her head. As she walked through the streets, she noticed a figure in the distance, shrouded in darkness. She felt a chill run down her spine as the figure approached her.

As he got closer, she could make out his features. He was a tall, slender man with long black hair that was tied back into a ponytail. His face was pale and he had piercing blue eyes that seemed to glow in the dark.

"What do you want?" Kaivara asked, feeling uneasy.

The man didn't say anything at first, but then he spoke in a low, smooth voice. "I sense that you're troubled, my dear. The question you've just asked was supposed to be mine."

Kaivara hesitated for a moment, but then she decided to open up to the stranger. "Are you a contact?" She was referring to a contact from The Noxx.

The man looked thoughtful for a moment, then he said, "You can call me Zrythexen. I know more than you know yourself, Kaivara."

Kaivara was surprised at the man's knowledge about her name. She hesitated for a moment, but then she grew curious about him.

"What do you mean?" Kaivara asked cautiously.

Zrythexen leaned in closer to Kaivara, his voice dropping to a whisper. "You see, my dear, I am not just any ordinary man. I am an entity that takes the form of a human. I exist in every human heart, in every desire, and every fear."

Kaivara looked at him, her eyes wide with surprise. "What do you mean?" she asked.

"I mean that I can offer you a shortcut to attaining all the impossible in the eyes of men," Zrythexen said with a sly smile.

Kaivara's desperation grew, and she asked, "What do you mean by a shortcut?"

Zrythexen chuckled. "I mean that I can offer you a way to infiltrate the palace and achieve your goal without any hindrance."

Kaivara's curiosity was piqued, but she was hesitant. "What do I have to do in return?" she asked cautiously.

Zrythexen's eyes glinted with mischief. "All you have to do is summon a book, which I will provide, and use it to call forth demons that can help you achieve whatever it is you desire. The return? No, my dear. I don't need anything from you, but I come here because you do need me."

Kaivara was torn. She knew that dealing with demons was dangerous, but she was desperate for a way to achieve her goal. "I don't know if I should trust you," she said uncertainly.

Zrythexen's smile widened. "You have no reason not to trust me, my dear. After all, I exist within you. And besides, what do you have to lose?"

Kaivara considered his words, knowing that she had no other options. With a deep breath, she nodded her head in agreement. "Alright, I'll do it."

Zrythexen handed her a parchment and said, "Just follow the instructions on this parchment, and the book will be summoned. Once you have the book, you will be able to call forth the demons and ask for their help."

Kaivara took the parchment and looked at it skeptically. She didn't believe in the power of demons, but she was desperate for help. "Why are you giving this to me?" she asked.

Zrythexen smiled slyly. "Let's just say I have my interests in this matter. I can assure you it won't cost you a thing."

Kaivara thought about it for a moment. She knew that dealing with demons was dangerous, but she was willing to do whatever it took to accomplish her mission.

ACT 10. THE DRAWING ON THE SAND

Arandor was a stunning kingdom that was situated by the sea. The city was filled with breathtaking views of the ocean, with ships coming in and out of the harbor, and seagulls flying above. Most of the citizens were sailors, with strong, muscular bodies and weathered faces. The city was surrounded by lush greenery, with tall trees and vibrant flowers. As Kaivara walked towards the shore, she marveled at the beauty of the city. The parchment that Zrythexen had given her was safely tucked in her pocket, and she couldn't help but wonder if it was the key to unlocking the help she desperately needed to infiltrate the palace. She continued walking, lost in thought until she reached the edge of the water, where she sat down and stared out at the vast expanse of the sea.

Kaivara studied the parchment carefully, her eyes scanning the strange markings that covered it. She wasn't sure if she could trust Zrythexen, but she was desperate to find a way to infiltrate the palace and save her sister. After a few moments of hesitation, she decided to give it a try. She took a deep breath and began to draw the sigil on the parchment on the sand with her finger.

As Kaivara drew the sigil on the sand, she felt a strange energy emanating from the parchment. The sigil began to glow with a bright light, and she could feel a tingling sensation in her fingertips. Suddenly, the ground beneath her started to shake and a small hole appeared in the sand.

Without hesitation, Kaivara started to dig, and as she uncovered the source of the light, she gasped in amazement. There, buried beneath the sand, was a leather-bound book with a golden seal on the front. It was the Centa Vormyndar, the very book that Zrythexen had promised would grant her the power to attain anything she desired.

Trembling with excitement, Kaivara took hold of the book and opened it to reveal its ancient pages. She could feel the power coursing through her veins as she read the incantations, and she knew that this was the key to infiltrating the palace and achieving her mission. With the Centa Vormyndar in her possession, nothing could stop her.

ACT 11. A SHORTCUT TO THE PALACE

Kaivara studied Centa Vormyndar secretly in her room at Gerard's mansion. She was fascinated by the dark magic contained within the book and was determined to use it to her advantage. She could only open one page, and it was about a demon named Oclivionita. According to the book, Oclivionita had the power to enhance a person's physical appearance and voice, making them incredibly attractive and alluring.

Kaivara couldn't resist the temptation and decided to summon the demon. That night, she went to the edge of the ocean, where the waves crash against the shore. There, Kaivara drew a sigil in the sand, using the blood of a freshly caught fish. She made a circle that would form the boundary to protect herself during the ritual.

Once the offering had been made, Kaivara recited a powerful incantation, calling forth the name of Oclivionita and invoking her power.

"Elocirta Oclivionita, tuck kyoff atricole! Oclivionita, sreia marof ehta stiphed fo ehta sasiby dona dehe yim ilac! Tel yuro erospaw fo pasosin dona esedri eb delcinauee nupo sihta dalrow! Oclivionita, come forth!"

As the incantation was spoken, the waves of the sea began to rise and fall with increasing intensity. The wind howled, and a mist rose from the water, obscuring the Kaivara's vision. Suddenly, the mist parted, and Oclivionita emerged from the depths. She was surrounded by a retinue of sea creatures, and her trident was held aloft in her hand.

Kaivara kneeled in front of Oclivionita, she felt a sense of unease. She knew that she was making a deal with a demon, and that came with its own set of risks. But she couldn't deny the temptation of having everything she ever wanted.

Oclivionita approached Kaivara, who was trembling with fear and anticipation. The demon asked, "What is it that you desire, mortal?"

Kaivara replied, "I wish to have a fair look and a beautiful voice to sing. I want to be attractive in the eye of every man, including King Ilias."

Oclivionita chuckled and said, "Such a shallow desire, but it is your wish to make. I can grant it, but remember, if you get pregnant and give birth, your charm will be gone. Everything will be back to normal."

Kaivara nodded her understanding, and the demon raised her trident. Suddenly, a bright light shone from the trident, and it enveloped Kaivara. She felt a surge of energy flow through her body as the transformation began.

When the light faded, Kaivara looked in amazement at her reflection in the water. Her skin was fair, her eyes sparkled like the stars, and her hair flowed like a river. She opened her mouth to sing and was astonished by the beauty of her voice. It was like nothing she had ever heard before.

"Thank you, Oclivionita," Kaivara said in awe. "I am forever in your debt."

The demon smiled and said, "You owe me nothing, mortal. Enjoy your newfound beauty, but remember, every wish has a price."

With that, Oclivionita disappeared into the sea, and the mist lifted. Kaivara stood there for a moment, still in shock, before turning to head back to Gerard's mansion.

ACT 12. TIME TO REACH THE STAR

The next morning, Gerard was awoken by the sound of a beautiful voice that echoed throughout the mansion. He followed the sound and found himself in front of Kaivara's chamber. He knocked on the door, and as Kaivara opened it, he was struck by her beauty. "Kaivara, my dear, what happened? You look stunning this morning!" exclaimed Gerard in awe.

Kaivara blushed and said, "I don't know, Uncle Gerard. Maybe it's just a good night's sleep."

Gerard chuckled and said, "I know that look, my dear. You got something up your sleeve. Come on, tell me."

Kaivara hesitated for a moment but then decided to tell Gerard the truth. "Last night, I found a fairy who granted me magic. She gave me a beautiful voice and made me look attractive."

Gerard looked at her with a mixture of shock and awe. "Kaivara, that's amazing! No wonder you look so beautiful this morning. You must have practiced all night to hone your skills."

Kaivara laughed and said, "I guess so. But Uncle Gerard, what should I do with this gift?"

Gerard smiled and said, "Well, my dear, why not make a career out of it? You have a talent for singing, and your beauty will attract many people. I could introduce you to people in Royal entertainment. You could perform for the King and his guests, and who knows where it could lead?"

Kaivara's eyes widened in surprise, and her heart skipped a beat. She had never considered an entertainment career, let alone performing for the King. The thought of it made her nervous but excited at the same time. "Do you think I could do it, Uncle?" she asked hesitantly.

Gerard placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder and smiled warmly at her. "Of course, my dear. You have a rare talent, and I do not doubt that you will be a great success." Kaivara felt a surge of confidence and determination. She thanked Gerard for his encouragement and promised to work hard to make it happen.

As Gerard and Kaivara arrived at the Royal entertainment office, they were greeted by a well-dressed agent named Mr. Roland. "Ah, Gerard, good to see you," said Mr. Roland as he shook Gerard's hand. "And who do we have here?" he said, eyeing Kaivara up and down.

"This is Kaivara," Gerard said proudly. "She's a talented singer, and I think she has what it takes to perform for the King."

"Well, let's not waste any time then," Mr. Roland said, gesturing for Kaivara to step forward. "Sing something for me, my dear."

Kaivara took a deep breath and began to sing. Her voice was rich and full of emotion, and Mr. Roland listened intently, nodding his head in approval as she finished.

"Well done, Kaivara," he said. "You have a gift. I think we could schedule a performance for you in front of the King."

Kaivara felt a thrill of excitement run through her as she realized that her dream was coming true. She couldn't wait to perform for the King and show him what she was capable of.

Kaivara's eyes lit up with excitement. "Really, Uncle Gerard? That would be amazing! Thank you so much!"

Gerard smiled and said, "It's my pleasure, my dear. You deserve to have a bright future."

ACT 13. SHOWTIME

The main chamber of King Ilias was an extravagant space with high vaulted ceilings adorned with intricate carvings and murals depicting scenes of the kingdom's history. The walls were lined with tapestries in rich hues of red and gold, and the floors were polished marble. At the center of the chamber stood a large throne made of gold and adorned with precious stones. The throne was raised on a dais, and on either side of it, stood guards in full armor.

As the King settled into his throne, Mr. Ronald, the royal entertainment agent, stepped forward and presented Kaivara. She stood before the throne, dressed in a flowing gown of shimmering blue, her hair cascading down her back in soft waves. The room fell silent as she began to sing, her voice sweet and clear, filling the space with a haunting melody.

As she sang, King Ilias couldn't take his eyes off her. He was entranced by her beauty and the mesmerizing quality of her voice. When she finished, the room erupted into applause, and the King stood from his throne, stepping down to approach her.

"By the gods, that was amazing!" he exclaimed. "Who is this beautiful creature that has graced us with her talent?"

One of the attendants stepped forward and introduced Kaivara to the King. The King's eyes lingered on her, and she could feel his gaze burning into her skin.

"Would you be willing to perform at the Royal banquet next week?" the King asked, his voice almost a whisper.

Kaivara nodded, feeling her heart beating fast in her chest. She couldn't believe that the King himself had invited her to perform for him again.

As she left the hall, an attendant handed her a small pouch filled with gold coins.

"The King would like to reward you for your performance," the attendant said with a smile.

Kaivara was speechless. She had never seen so much gold in one place before. She could hardly believe her luck. As she walked back to her quarters, she couldn't help but feel that her life had changed forever.

ACT 14. HIDDEN DISGUST

That morning, the sun was shining brightly, and the air was crisp and refreshing. As Kaivara and her uncle, Gerard, were getting ready to leave for the palace, Kaivara made a quick stop at the market to meet a contact from The Noxx. She handed over a letter to the contact, informing them of her progress with the mission to infiltrate the palace. She then handed over another letter to a merchant she knew, asking him to deliver it to her best friend, Celia. As they resumed their journey to the palace, Gerard expressed concern about the risks involved in their mission, but Kaivara reassured him that everything would be fine. She was more focused on her performance that night, determined to win over the King once again with her singing.

The Royal banquet was held in a grand hall, adorned with gold and silver decorations. The walls were draped with luxurious tapestries, and crystal chandeliers hung from the high ceiling, casting a warm and inviting glow throughout the room. The tables were filled with delicious food and fine wines, and the guests were dressed in their most elegant attire. At the front of the room was a large stage, where Kaivara stood, dressed in a flowing gown, her hair cascading in loose waves down her back. The stage was bathed in soft light, and as she began to sing, the room fell silent, mesmerized by her beautiful voice. King Ilias sat at the head of the table, his eyes fixed on Kaivara as if he were the only one in the room. It was clear that he was completely captivated by her.

Kaivara and Uncle Gerard entered the banquet hall, and Kaivara couldn't help but notice how Uncle Gerard's face changed drastically when he saw the royal guest. At first, she thought it was because of nerves, but she quickly realized that something was wrong. "Uncle, what's wrong? Why do you look like you've seen a ghost?" she asked.

Gerard took a deep breath and whispered in her ear, "That's King Eryndor, the lord who led the knights of Ardalind to dethrone your mother."

Kaivara felt her stomach drop at the mention of King Eryndor's name. She had heard stories about him. However, she knew she had to put on a good performance to please King Ilias and the rest of the guests.

As they made their way to the stage, Kaivara could feel her nerves getting the best of her. But once she started singing, all her worries melted away. She sang her heart out, pouring all her emotions into the lyrics. The room fell silent, and even King Eryndor seemed to be entranced by her voice.

When she finished, the room erupted into applause, and King Ilias stood up to congratulate her. "My dear, that was a truly breathtaking performance. I have never heard such a beautiful voice. You have a gift, and I am honored to have you perform for me."

Kaivara beamed with pride at the praise, but her joy was short-lived when King Eryndor approached her. "My dear, I must say, your performance was quite impressive. I have never heard such a voice in all my travels. I would be honored if you could perform for me and my kingdom."

Kaivara felt a chill run down her spine at the thought of performing for King Eryndor, but she knew she couldn't refuse. She smiled politely and said, "Thank you, Your Majesty. It would be my pleasure to perform for you and your kingdom."

As the banquet continued, Kaivara couldn't help but feel uneasy about the situation. She knew that performing for King Eryndor would be dangerous, but she also knew that she couldn't refuse. She hoped that her performance would be enough to appease him.

King Eryndor studied Gerard's face for a moment as if trying to remember something. "Your face seems familiar," he said. "Have we crossed paths before?"

Gerard shifted uncomfortably in his seat. "Perhaps, your Majesty. I have worked in various capacities for the kingdom for many years."

King Ilias chimed in, trying to ease the tension. "Alothius has been an invaluable asset to our military outfit factory, your Majesty. His expertise has helped us produce the best armor and weapons in the kingdom."

King Eryndor nodded, but his eyes remained fixed on Gerard. "I see. Well, it is always good to have talented and loyal men in our service. I am certainly glad to have met you now, Alothius," he said with a smile. "And I am equally glad to have met your talented niece, Kaivara. She has truly captured my heart with her beautiful voice."

Gerard bowed his head in acknowledgment, but Kaivara could see the fear in his eyes. She knew there was a history between her uncle and King Eryndor, but she didn't know the details. As the conversation moved on to other topics, Kaivara made a mental note to ask Gerard about it later.

ACT 15. HEARTBREAKING DECISION

In the King's chamber, King Ilias couldn't let go of his admiration for Kaivara. His wife, Ysabel, noticed this and became jealous. However, she knew that the King was yearning for an heir and she couldn't bear children. So, she made a decision that would benefit both her and the King.

"Your Majesty," Ysabel said with a smile. "I see that you have taken a liking to Kaivara. She is indeed beautiful and talented."

King Ilias looked at his wife, surprised. "Yes, she is," he replied.

"Perhaps," Ysabel continued, "it would be beneficial for both of us if you were to take Kaivara as a concubine. She could provide you with an heir, and I could finally have some peace knowing that you will have an heir."

King Ilias was taken aback by Ysabel's suggestion. He had never considered taking a concubine before. However, the idea of having an heir was tempting.

"I...I don't know," he stammered. "Kaivara is not just any woman. She is talented and has a bright future ahead of her. I can't just take her as a concubine."

"But think of the future of our kingdom, my love," Ysabel said, getting closer to the King. "We need an heir to ensure the stability and prosperity of our land. And who better to give you that heir than Kaivara?"

King Ilias sighed deeply, his mind torn. He knew that Ysabel was right, but the thought of taking Kaivara as his concubine made him uneasy. However, his desire for an heir was stronger.

ACT 16. AN INQUIRY WORTH ASKING

The garden was an oasis of beauty, with a profusion of vibrant flowers, elegant trees, and a sparkling pond at the center. A gentle breeze carried the sweet fragrance of jasmine and roses through the air, and the sound of a distant waterfall added a soothing melody to the atmosphere.

As Kaivara sang, her voice was like a siren's call, enchanting both the King and Queen. When she finished, the King was the first to speak.

"Kaivara, you truly have a remarkable talent," he said, his eyes fixed on her. "I have never heard such a beautiful voice."

The Queen shot a jealous glance at her husband but said nothing.

The King cleared his throat and hesitantly asked, "May I ask, have you already found a companion, a husband, perhaps?"

Kaivara's face flushed slightly, and she shook her head. "No, your Majesty, I have not."

The King seemed relieved and exchanged a glance with the Queen. "That's good to hear. You see, my dear, Ysabel and I …, we actually…I mean we..err…."

The Queen's face softened when seeing her husband's struggles, and she said, "We were wondering, Kaivara, if you would be willing to become the King's concubine. We understand if this Is not something you are interested in, but we thought it would be worth asking. The king is yearning for an heir. I can see the way he looks at you. Would you be willing to become his concubine and bear him a child"

Kaivara was stunned by the request, and she struggled to find the words to respond. "Your Majesties, I am honored by your request, but I am not sure if I am the right person for such a role. I am a simple singer, and I do not know if I am suited for the life of a concubine."

Kaivara hesitated for a moment, but seeing how the queen herself insisted, she took a deep breath and replied, "Your majesties, I am honored by your offer. If it is your wish, then I will do as you ask."

The king and queen exchanged a glance, and then the king spoke up, "Thank you, Kaivara. We appreciate your willingness to serve your kingdom."

After performing before the king and the queen, Kaivara informed a contact from The Noxx that she made it to infiltrate the palace and was about to be the king's concubine. That was a great and relieving tiding that brought hope for The Noxx.

ACT 17. THE TASTE OF COMFORT

After the welcoming ceremony for the king's concubine, Kaivara and the Queen lived harmoniously in the palace. Kaivara showed utmost respect and humility before the queen, always addressing her as "Your Majesty." She performed her duties as a concubine diligently, attending to the King's needs, and entertaining guests during official functions.

Despite her initial jealousy towards Kaivara, the Queen treated her with compassion and care, even taking her under her wing and teaching her royal customs and etiquette. They spent time together in the garden, enjoying the beauty of nature and discussing various topics.

The King, too, treated Ysabel and Kaivara fairly, dividing his time equally between them. He made sure that Ysabel remained his primary wife and that Kaivara's status as a concubine did not affect the Queen's position in any way.

In fact, the King's treatment of Kaivara only increased the Queen's respect for him, and she grew to appreciate him more as a husband and a ruler. Together, the King, Queen, and Kaivara formed a harmonious trio, with each member fulfilling their respective roles with dignity and honor.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months. Kaivara found herself enjoying the palace life and slowly losing interest in her mission. She began to question her motives and wondered if it was all worth it. She saw the King as a kind and fair ruler, who treated his people and his concubines with respect and dignity.

ACT 18. A VISIT FROM AN OLD FRIEND

Kaivara approached the King and the Queen with a humble request to visit her uncle, Gerard, who lived in a small village near the palace. At first, they were hesitant to grant her request, as they feared for her safety outside the palace walls. However, Kaivara respectfully explained that her uncle had been like a father to her, and she wanted to see him to ensure he was doing well.

Moved by Kaivara's sincerity and loyalty to her family, the King, and Queen finally agreed to let her visit her uncle, but they assigned a group of royal guards to accompany her for protection. The guards were ordered to keep a close watch on Kaivara during her visit and ensure that she was safe at all times.

With the guards by her side, Kaivara journeyed to her uncle's village and was overjoyed to see him once again. They spent the day together, reminiscing about old times and catching up on each other's lives. Gerard was pleased to see how well Kaivara had adjusted to life in the palace and how respected and valued she was by the King and Queen.

Suddenly, a maid told them that a female guest was waiting at the door. The maid said her name was Celia. Kaivara was surprised to hear that, she couldn't wait to see her old friend, Celia, after all these months. They hugged each other tightly, and Celia smiled at Kaivara, saying, "You look different, Kaivara. Happier and more content."

Kaivara smiled and replied, "I am, Celia. I am happy here."

Celia looked at Kaivara with concern in her eyes and said, "Kaivara, you must remember why you are here. You cannot let yourself be carried away with the comfort here. You have a mission to complete."

Kaivara nodded, understanding the seriousness of Celia's words. They started to walk together, and the guards monitored from afar, following their every move. The garden was beautiful, with blooming flowers of all colors, and the sound of the nearby waterfall added a soothing touch to the atmosphere.

Celia continued, "Kaivara, I have decided to join The Noxx. Have you made any progress in your mission?"

Kaivara sighed and replied, "I just need more time Celia. I must do this with caution because I don't want to risk my uncle Gerard. I owe him my life since I was a kid."

Celia looked at Kaivara with a serious expression and said, "How much more time do you need? You must not forget, Kaivara. The Noxx is counting on you, and so is the future of our people."

Kaivara nodded, "I'm closer to the appropriate time to do that. I will inform you of the plan of the execution," and they continued to walk in silence for a while. She knew that Celia was right. She could not afford to lose focus and jeopardize the mission.

ACT 19. PAINFUL TRUTH

The sun was setting on the horizon as Kaivara, Queen Ysabel, and King Ilias sat on the balcony overlooking the royal gardens. The air was cool and crisp, and the scent of blooming flowers filled their nostrils. They had just finished a sumptuous dinner and were enjoying a glass of wine.

Kaivara felt a sense of warmth and contentment as she sat next to the queen, feeling grateful for the kindness and hospitality she had received from both the queen and the king. As they chatted about various topics, Kaivara couldn't help but feel a sense of guilt creeping up inside her. She was here on a mission, but she had grown fond of the queen and the king.

Suddenly, Kaivara broke the silence. "Your Majesty, kindly forgive my being bold. How did the King of Ardalind seem to get so close to you? Please tell me the story."

King Ilias cleared his throat before speaking. "As you know, Arandor and Eryndor have been long-time allies. And it's not just because we are neighboring kingdoms, but also because we have been indebted to King Eryndor since the reign of my father-in-law, King Erevion."

Kaivara's curiosity was piqued. "May I ask why, Your Majesty?"

The King's expression grew grave. "During the reign of King Erevion, Ardalind was under the ruler of Xyrdalathia, King Mordrath. King Radamir, who was the former ruler of Ardalind, was just a puppet king," Kaivara tried hard to hide her facial expression when hearing her father's name mentioned as 'puppet king.'

King Ilias continued, "King Radamir was unable to develop his army to fight against Xyrdalathia, so he requested help from King Erevion. He paid an abundant amount of gold as a tribute. We took the chance to build our army and equipped them with sophisticated armor made of titanium. It made the armor lighter and stronger than steel. King Radamir sent his undercover messenger, Sir Eryndor to tell us that he would give 3 provinces in Arindor if we succeed in invading Xyrdalathia. However, after he moved to Xyrdalathia to build new troops, he broke his promise and denied that he had ever sent Sir Eryndor to tell the promise. King Erevion was furious. He summoned Sir Eryndor, but he just found out that Sir Eryndor was betrayed by his king."

"Yes, that's right. I witness it myself in the main chamber," Queen Ysabel continued. "My father decided to avenge the dishonored king by ordering Lord Elric, who was then with Queen Kalietha, to make sure Sir Eryndor had a better name in the eye of Ardalind's citizens. He indulged Queen Kalietha with comfort so that the remaining affairs were taken care of by Sir Eryndor and the board of knights. Unexpectedly, the queen and Lord Elric are involved in an affair. Thus, the queen got dethroned and her title was revoked. The queen and Lord Elric were expelled from Ardalind and came to Arandor," Queen Ysabel excitingly narrated the history. Yet, Kaivara felt her tears rolling down her cheek hearing the history of her parents.

King Ilias added, "Not only that. Arandor survived because King Eryndor always supports us. As we can see here, Arandor's land mostly is not fertile. We are close to the sea, and the water in our wells is mostly salty. We rely heavily on selling fish since our people mostly are sailors. We used to sell our fish to Zalindor and Ardalind. Ardalind is our loyal customer. However, Zalindor, the rich and arrogant kingdom, stopped buying our fish. They barely needed anything from us. They had fertile land and could grow almost anything. The worse was they bred freshwater fish themselves. And you know what? King Eryndor forbid his people to do such a thing. Zalindor forbade merchants from other kingdoms to pass through to Arandor. They bought their kinds of stuff and resold them at a higher price to people in Arandor. That's why we lost our patience. People in Arandor cried to my feet, begging me to do something. So, we invade them. I don't have any intention to crave their resources. It was because of our people suffering due to Zalindor's arrogance."

Kaivara's mind raced as she processed the information. She knew that her mission was to assassinate King Ilias, but now she was conflicted. King Eryndor had helped her people in their time of need. Was it worth it to assassinate him?

The King noticed the conflicted look on Kaivara's face and asked, "Is everything alright, my dear?"

"Yes, your Majesty. I just feel bad remembering our people's suffering," Kaivara dodge the suspicion. Not long after that, she felt dizzy and lost consciousness.

ACT 20. FORGIVEN SIN

Kaivara's eyes fluttered open, her vision blurry as she tried to make out her surroundings. She blinked a few times, trying to adjust her eyes to the light in the room. And then she saw him - King Ilias, sitting beside her bed with a look of concern etched on his face.

"Kaivara," he said, his voice filled with relief. "Thank God you're awake. You gave us all quite a scare."

Kaivara tried to sit up, but a sharp pain shot through her head, causing her to groan in agony. The King placed a hand on her shoulder, gently pushing her back down onto the pillows.

"Easy, my dear," he said. "You need to rest."

Kaivara looked up at him, her mind racing as she tried to remember what had happened to her.

"Your Majesty," she whispered, her voice weak. "What happened to me?"

King Ilias's expression darkened as he spoke. "Kaivara my dear. You went unconscious after conversing with the queen and me. And….while you were lying unconscious you had sleep talking. You said 'I can't kill him, I'm sorry, I can't.' Who was 'him' you were talking about?"

Kaivara felt a knot form in her stomach as King Ilias's words sunk in. She had been unconscious, but that wasn't the worst of it. She had revealed her true intentions while sleep-talking, something she had sworn to keep hidden at all costs. She couldn't face the king now, not after what she had said.

"Your Majesty," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I must confess."

The king looked at her with concern etched on his face. "What is it, my dear?"

Kaivara took a deep breath before continuing. "It was your Majesty, the person that I should kill. I was supposed to assassinate you. I'm a Noxxian, your Highness."

The king's expression shifted from concern to shock. "What?! Why would you do such a thing?"

Kaivara felt tears forming in her eyes as she spoke. "I just needed to avenge my father's death. Arandor's soldier killed him and took away my mother. Thus, I decided to volunteer to carry out the mission. But I couldn't do it. After seeing the truth from the other side, I couldn't kill someone as good and kind as you."

The king's eyes softened as he listened to her words. "My dear Kaivara, you could have done that earlier. But now, I understand why you were hesitant to take the mission. You were always too kind-hearted to carry out such a task."

Kaivara was surprised by the king's forgiveness. She had expected to be sentenced to death for her actions. But instead, the king had chosen to show her compassion and understanding.

"Thank you, Your Majesty," she said, tears of relief streaming down her face. "I don't know what to say."

Kaivara's eyes widened in surprise as the king's words registered in her mind. The royal doctor had examined the cause of her fainting and found out that she was with a child. She was with a child? She had been so focused on her mission to assassinate the king that she hadn't even realized she was pregnant.

"Your Majesty," she said, her voice trembling. "I had no idea. I didn't even know I was pregnant."

The king's smile grew wider. "Yes, my dear. It seems that fate has given us all a second chance. You have a child to look forward to, and the kingdom will have a new heir."

Kaivara's mind was reeling with the news. A child? She had never imagined that she would be a mother, let alone a mother to a royal heir. And yet, she also remember what Oclivionita, the demon, said to her that the magic would subside as she gave birth to a child.

"I...I don't know what to say," she stammered, feeling a mix of emotions swirling inside her.

"Thank you, Your Majesty," she said, her voice filled with gratitude. "I promise to make things right and to serve you and the kingdom with all my heart."

The king nodded at her. "I know you will, my dear. And I will be there to support you every step of the way."

ACT 21. THREAT WARNING

Gerard arrived at Kaivara's chamber with a big smile on his face. As soon as he saw her, he embraced her tightly and said, "Kaivara, my dear niece, congratulations! You are pregnant! I am so happy for you!"

Kaivara's eyes filled with tears of joy. "Thank you, uncle. I am very happy too," she replied, her voice trembling with emotion.

Gerard pulled away from the hug and sat down on the edge of her bed. "But, there's something else I need to tell you, Kaivara," he said, his face turning serious.

Kaivara looked at him, worried. "What is it, uncle?"

Gerard took a deep breath and whispered, "My dear, why didn't you tell me that you are a Noxxian? I could hardly believe that you also had a dangerous mission to assassinate the king."

"How do you know uncle Gerard? Who told you that?" Kaivara's voice was barely heard in the room.

"Celia did. My dear, it's so perilous. What if the king finds out about that?" Gerard held his nephew's arms intensely.

"The king has already known uncle. After knowing I was hesitant to execute the mission, he forgave me. Perhaps, it was also because of this baby," Kaivara rubbed her belly.

"Oh, thank God, Kaivara. I was so terrified you got involved with that dirty and precarious work," Gerard felt relief and then he continued, "Celia has become one of the Noxxians."

"Has she?" Kaivara exclaimed surprisingly. Gerard looked into Kaivara's eyes and nodded, "Yes my dear. She came to me to inform me that Noxxians are aiming at you. They think you are a traitor to them. Celia didn't want anything bad to happen to you."

Kaivara's heart pounded heavily as she tried to absorb the information. Her best friend, Celia, was now a part of the Noxxians and they were after her. She couldn't believe it. She felt a lump forming in her throat, "What am I going to do now, uncle Gerard? I can't leave the palace. It's the safest place for me and my child."

Gerard sighed, "I know, my dear. But you have to be careful. They won't stop until they get what they want."

Kaivara nodded, feeling overwhelmed and scared. She thought of her child, the heir of the king. What would happen if something happened to her? What would happen to her baby?

Gerard placed his hand on her shoulder, trying to reassure her, "Don't worry, Kaivara. We'll find a way to protect you and your child. You have to trust me."

Kaivara looked at him, feeling grateful for having such a caring and protective uncle. She knew that she had to stay strong and be cautious. She couldn't let anything happen to her child. She took a deep breath and nodded, "Thank you, uncle. I'll do my best to keep myself and my child safe."

Gerard smiled, "That's my girl. We'll figure this out together."

Kaivara felt a sense of comfort and safety knowing that she had her uncle by her side. She knew that she had to stay vigilant and be prepared for any danger that might come her way. She had to protect her child and ensure the safety of the kingdom.

ACT 22. THE PRECOGNITION

Gerard was sunk into his dream. He returned to the same cave, feeling a sense of familiarity as he made his way through the damp, musty air. The sound of his footsteps echoed through the cavern as he approached the center, where the same woman, Serenova, sat on the stone throne. Her flowing white robes and long silver hair shone in the dim light, creating an ethereal aura around her. As he drew nearer, Sir Gerard noticed the intricate carvings etched into the stone walls and the flickering of candles that had not been there before. The atmosphere felt even more mystical and otherworldly than the first time he had visited.

Gerard approached Serenova's throne, his heart racing with anticipation. "Serenova, why have you brought me here again?" he asked, his voice echoing in the cavernous space.

Serenova turned to face him, her piercing blue eyes meeting his own. "It's not about Radamir anymore, Gerard," she said, her voice low and grave. "It's about his daughter, Kaivara."

"Kaivara?" Gerard repeated, his brow furrowing in confusion. "What might happen to her?"

Serenova rose from her throne, her white robes flowing behind her like a river. "Kaivara is in danger. She made a deal with a demon named Oclivionita. She must let go of her attachment from the demon," she said, her voice urgent. "The Noxxians also have marked her as a traitor, and they will stop at nothing to eliminate her."

Gerard's heart sank at the news. "What can I do to help?" he asked, his voice heavy with concern.

Serenova placed a hand on his shoulder, her touch surprisingly warm. "You must warn her, Gerard," she said. "She must not go out of the palace with her baby."

Gerard nodded in agreement. "I will do everything in my power to support her, Serenova. Thank you for bringing this to my attention," he said, his voice filled with determination.

ACT 23. EARLY CAUTION

Sir Gerard entered the room, smiling as he saw Kaivara cradling her newborn son. "Congratulations, my dear. He's a beautiful baby boy. What's his name?" he said, his eyes twinkling with joy.

Kaivara beamed with happiness as she looked up at her uncle. "Thank you, Uncle Gerard. He's such a precious gift. I named him Orryxantheus." she said, stroking the baby's soft hair.

Sir Gerard nodded in agreement. "Indeed he is. But tell me, how are you feeling?"

"I'm feeling wonderful, Uncle. And you know what? The king is going to celebrate the coming heir! He's going to make a grand party with the people of Arandor. The king himself is going to mingle with his people," Kaivara said excitedly.

Sir Gerard raised his eyebrows in surprise. "Is that so? It seems King Ilias is very pleased with his son."

"Yes, Uncle. The king has been very kind to me and the baby. He's given us a lovely room in the palace and has made sure that we have everything we need," Kaivara replied, her eyes sparkling with happiness.

Sir Gerard smiled warmly. "That's good to hear. Did you say that the king will mingle with the people of Arandor? Out of the palace?"

Kaivara nodded in agreement. "Yes, Uncle. I feel very blessed and proud of him that he loves his people so much. But don't worry uncle. It'll be safe. The queen will also go along with us. Almost the whole troops are stationed all around the city. Our intel said there will be no intruder who can breach our troop's monitoring," she said, holding her son close to her chest.

Gerard sat down across from Kaivara, his face grave. "My dear, just prepare some emergency plan in case the unexpected happens. By the way my dear. I had a strange dream. In my dream, I found out that you had dealt with Oclivionita, Kaivara," he said, his voice low and serious.

Kaivara's eyes widened in shock. "How do you know about that, Uncle?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Serenova told me," Gerard replied, his gaze fixed on her.

Kaivara frowned. "Serenova? Who is that?"

Gerard leaned forward, his eyes intense. "Serenova is not a person, Kaivara. She is an entity that lives in every human heart. She told me you made deal with Oclivionita. That's not all. The more important one was about your safety. In any case, you have to go out of the palace, you should not bring your son. If there is some emergency, you will want to hand over your son to be sent to Ardalind and let King Eryndor keeps him safe."

Kaivara felt a chill run down her spine. "What might happen to me, uncle? Am I going to die?" she said softly.

"Don't say that my dear. Well, I don't know for sure," Gerard said. "But Serenova knew. Your father also made deal with a demon that made him lose his left hand. I do not doubt this, Kaivara. All her warnings to your father happened. This time, it's your turn. You must not take this lightly."

Kaivara listened intently, her mind reeling with the revelation. "What should I do, Uncle?" she asked, her voice shaking slightly.

"First, I ask you to break your deal with Oclivionita," Gerard replied firmly.

"Uncle, my magic is broken," she said, her voice tinged with sadness.

Gerard looked at her with concern. "What do you mean, Kaivara? Broken?"

"I mean that I'm no longer as attractive as I used to be. My magic used to make me look beautiful and alluring, but now that I've given birth, it's gone, just like what Oclivionita had warned me," Kaivara explained.

Gerard's eyes widened in surprise. "But the king still loves you, right?"

Kaivara nodded a small smile on her lips. "Yes, he does. He thinks my change in appearance is just because I gave birth. He doesn't know that my magic is gone."

Gerard let out a relieved sigh. "Thank goodness for that. You had me worried there for a moment."

Kaivara laughed lightly. "I'm sorry for worrying you, uncle. But I'm happy that the king still loves me, even without my magic."

"Alright. If I may suggest, prepare a route for emergencies. Just imagine you get an attack, and the worst, you cannot return to the palace, just go and bring the baby to Ardalind to meet King Eryndor for help. I know this sounds awkward, but he is our last hope if Arandor is in chaos. Bryndoria, where King Ilias's sibling reigned, would not accept your son because the king and his brother do not have a good relationship," uncle Gerard tried to contribute an idea.

"Thank you, uncle Gerard. I shall take it into my consideration," Kaivara replied.

Soon after meeting with her uncle, Kaivara talked to the king and the queen about some precautions to anticipate the unexpected. The king had his loyal knights led by Sir Zephyros prepare some emergency plans and escape routes both to the palace and to Ardalind for emergencies.

ACT 24. WONDERFUL MORNING TO START A DAY

The morning of the celebration for the incoming heir of Arandor was an exciting one. The entire city was bustling with activity, as people prepared for the festivities that would take place throughout the day. The army was out in full force, securing the area and keeping a watchful eye on the border to ensure that no unwanted guests would disrupt the joyous occasion.

Food vendors lined the streets, cooking up a variety of savory and sweet treats for the citizens of Arandor. The smells of roasted meat, fresh bread, and sugary confections filled the air, tempting the appetites of all who walked by.

At the field, a grand stage had been erected, adorned with banners and flowers in the colors of the royal family. The crowd gathered around, eagerly awaiting the arrival of King Ilias, Queen Ysabel, and their family.

Kaivara, holding her newborn baby boy, was dressed in her finest attire, a gown of deep blue that sparkled in the sunlight. Her hair was swept up in an elegant updo, and she wore a small crown of silver and sapphires. As they made their way towards the field, Kaivara whispered to her baby boy, telling him about the exciting day that awaited them.

The King and Queen were similarly dressed in their regal attire, the King in his red velvet cloak and the Queen in a gown of emerald green. They smiled and waved to the cheering crowds as they passed, their joy and excitement palpable.

As they arrived at the field, King Ilias gave a speech, welcoming his people and thanking them for their support. He announced the name of the field as "Frosthold," an ancient name that had been passed down through the generations of Arandor's royal family.

The festivities continued throughout the day, with music, dancing, and merrymaking filling the air. The citizens of Arandor celebrated the coming heir and the bright future that awaited their kingdom.

ACT 25. OUT OF THIN AIR

King Ilias stood at the center of the stage, his voice booming through the microphone as he began his speech. "My dear people of Arandor, today is a day of great joy and celebration!" The crowd erupted in cheers and applause, causing the king to pause for a moment before continuing. "For too long, my beloved Queen and I have prayed for an heir to our throne, and now that prayer has been answered. Our son has been born, a blessing from the heavens above!"

The people cheered even louder, some jumping up and down in excitement. The king smiled and waited for the commotion to die down before speaking again. "We are here today to thank God for His mercy and to celebrate this momentous occasion. We are grateful for your support and your love, which have sustained us through our struggles and trials."

The king's words touched the hearts of his people, and many were moved to tears. Some shouted out words of encouragement, while others simply nodded in agreement. "Long live the king!" someone shouted, and the crowd took up the chant, their voices echoing through the streets of Arandor.

King Ilias raised his hands in gratitude and the cheering intensified. Finally, he gestured for quiet, and the crowd gradually settled down. "My dear people," he said, "thank you for your love and support. May God bless you all!" With that, he stepped back and allowed the festivities to begin.

The music had started and the dancers began to perform. The crowd cheered and clapped along with the rhythm. Kaivara watched the dancers, admiring their grace and skill, but then her attention was drawn to a figure in a black robe with a red veil covering their nose and mouth. The figure seemed to be dancing along with the other performers, but there was something off about their movements.

Kaivara leaned toward the King and asked, "Is that part of the show?"

The King looked at her with confusion, "What are you talking about, my dear?"

"That one, a man in a black robe and red veil," Kaivara pointed out.

"A man in a black robe? What do you mean my dear? I see no one among the dancers. Are you seeing things?" King Ilias was confused.

Kaivara was about to answer when she saw the figure moving toward the King. She felt a sudden surge of panic and handed her baby to the Queen. She then approached a guard and asked for his dagger.

As she stood up and walked towards the approaching figure, the crowd started to notice the commotion. They stopped cheering and watched as Kaivara approached the mysterious figure. The figure stopped and turned its head towards her. It seemed that the figure was quite shocked to see Kaivara noticed him.

"What do you want?" Kaivara demanded in loud voice and pointed out her dagger. People were confused since they saw Lady Kaivara seemed to talk alone on the stage.

The figure remained silent, but Kaivara could feel a sense of danger emanating from them. She took a step back, ready to defend herself if necessary.

The King, realizing something was wrong, called out to his guards to secure the area.

As Kaivara approached the figure, he suddenly lunged forward with a hidden weapon, aiming straight for her heart. Kaivara was caught off guard, but she was quick to react. She dodged the attack and countered with a swift strike of her own.

The figure stumbled back, but quickly regained his balance and launched another attack. Kaivara fought back with all her might, but the figure was too strong. They exchanged blows, their weapons clanging against each other until finally, the figure landed a fatal strike.

Kaivara fell to the ground, blood pouring from her wound. The people around her gasped in horror, and chaos erupted. The guards rushed in, but they could not see anyone causing the terrible sight.

The King and Queen were surrounded by guards, who quickly whisked them away to safety. The people were in chaos, mourning the death of the king's concubine, the mother of the royal heir, in such a way. Kaivara's baby was taken away to safety.

The chaotic scene unfolded as the king and queen attempted to escape to the safety of their royal carriage. The panicked crowd surged forward, pushing and shoving in all directions. The guards, overwhelmed by the chaos, struggled to maintain order and protect the king.

As the royal couple made their way through the throngs of people, the guards' protection began to falter. Suddenly, the figure in the black robe and red veil materialized out of nowhere, lunging toward the king with a sharp blade in hand. The king's bodyguards were no match for the figure's speed and agility as it sliced through the guards with ease, closing in on its target.

In the midst of the chaos, Kaivara's message flashed in the queen's mind. She realized too late that this is the time to bring the baby to Ardalind.

The people of Arandor were stunned into silence as they watched their king fall. Chaos and confusion reigned as the news of the tragedy spread throughout the city, sparking riots and unrest. The future of Arandor was uncertain, and the people could only wait and see what fate had in store for their troubled kingdom.

ACT 26. ESCAPE TO ARDALIND

The queen sat in the carriage, her heart pounding as she clutched her young son tightly to her chest. The loyal knights had formed a protective ring around her, their swords drawn and ready for any danger that might come their way.

But the danger was already upon them. As they made their way back to the palace, they came upon a group of wounded soldiers stumbling along the road. The soldiers warned the queen and her entourage not to return to the palace, revealing that the traitorous knights had taken over and were now wearing red ribbons on their left arms. The soldiers who refused to wear the ribbon were killed without mercy.

Sir Zephyros, the loyalist leader, took command of the situation. He quickly ordered the knights to turn the carriage around and head towards Ardalind, a safe haven for the queen and her son. The queen's heart sank at the thought of abandoning their home and their people, but she knew it was necessary for their survival.

The journey to Ardalind was fraught with danger. The traitorous knights were hot on their trail, determined to capture the queen and her child. The loyal knights fought bravely, using every trick in their arsenal to keep the enemy at bay. But they were outnumbered and outmatched.

Just when it seemed all was lost, a post pigeon arrived with a message from King Eryndor. The king had been notified of the loyalist's escape and had rallied his own troops to meet them. The queen breathed a sigh of relief at the news, knowing that they would not be alone in their fight.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the queen and her loyal knights reached the safety of Ardalind. The people there welcomed them with open arms, providing them with food, shelter, and medical care. The queen looked out over the city, her heart heavy with grief for what had been lost, but filled with hope for what could still be saved.

ACT 27. CHAOTIC ARANDOR

After the death of King Ilias, Arandor was thrown into chaos. The treacherous knights who had seized power began to hunt down and eliminate anyone who opposed their rule. The Arandorian people were divided into three factions: those who supported the new rulers, those who silently opposed them, and those who did not care about the change in leadership.

The new rulers were a group of knights led by Sir Gideon, a skilled warrior who had once been a trusted advisor to King Ilias. Alongside him were Sir Marcellus, the chief strategist, and Lady Seraphina, the master of espionage. They were ruthless in their pursuit of power, and they used their connections with the liberation movement in Zalindor to consolidate their control over Arandor.

The new rulers began their reign by eliminating anyone who posed a threat to their power. They ordered their loyalists to wear a red ribbon on their left arm, and those who refused were immediately executed. They also instituted a system of surveillance and intimidation to root out any dissenting voices.

The Arandorian people who opposed the new rulers were hunted down relentlessly. Many were imprisoned, tortured, or killed. The silent opposition, those who did not openly speak out against the new rulers, were forced into hiding, living in constant fear of being discovered.

Meanwhile, the liberation movement in Zalindor celebrated the fall of Arandor into the hands of their allies. They welcomed the new rulers with open arms, hailing them as heroes who had liberated the people from the tyranny of the old regime. The new ruler of Zalindor was a woman named Queen Isadora, who had long been a vocal supporter of the Zalindorian liberation movement.

As the days passed, the new rulers of Arandor tightened their grip on the kingdom. Their loyalists roamed the streets, enforcing their rule with an iron fist. The people of Arandor lived in fear, unsure of what the future held for their kingdom under the new rulers.

As the new rulers consolidated their power, rumors began to spread of a resistance movement forming in the shadows. The whispers of rebellion grew louder with each passing day, fueled by the desperation and hopelessness of those who had suffered under the new regime.

Despite the dangers, a group of brave Arandorian rebels emerged, led by a young woman named Lyris. She was a skilled Arandorian elite archer and a charismatic leader, inspiring others to rise up against the new rulers and fight for their freedom. They operated in secret, striking at the loyalists and disrupting their operations whenever possible.

The new rulers, however, were not to be trifled with. They responded to the rebellion with brutal force, launching a campaign of terror and destruction against anyone suspected of aiding the rebels. Families were torn apart, homes were burned, and innocent people were executed in the streets.

Lyris and her rebels fought on, determined to bring down the new rulers and restore freedom to Arandor. But the odds were against them, and the new rulers' grip on the kingdom seemed unbreakable. As the conflict escalated, it became clear that a decisive battle was looming, one that would determine the fate of Arandor for years to come.

ACT 28. WELCOMING WITH MOURN

King Eryndor stood at the entrance to the palace, his eyes scanning the horizon for any sign of Queen Ysabel's arrival. His heart was pounding in his chest as he thought about the baby she was bringing with her. He had never been a father before, but the thought of having an heir to the throne filled him with a sense of pride and responsibility.

Despite his hopeful intention to take the incoming baby as his son, King Eryndor welcomed Queen Ysabel, with her baby Orryxantheus as well as her entourage led by Sir Zephyros, with the feeling of sorrow about the tragedy that had brought them there. He expressed his condolences to Ysabel for the loss of her husband King Ilias and her sister Kaivara, in a manner befitting a royal.

As the carriage approached, King Eryndor's heart skipped a beat. He stepped forward, eager to greet the queen and the new prince.

"Your Highness," he said, bowing low as the carriage came to a stop.

"King Eryndor," Queen Ysabel replied, stepping down from the carriage with the bundle in her arms.

"Your loss is our loss, Queen Ysabel. We mourn with you the passing of King Ilias and Lady Kaivara. They will forever be remembered as heroes who fought for the freedom of their people," King Eryndor said with a somber tone.

"As for your son, Prince Orryxantheus, I offer my deepest sympathy for the loss of his mother. He will be taken care of and treated as one of our own. Ardalind will be his home, and I will do everything in my power to ensure his safety and happiness," he added with a reassuring smile.

"I know he will be in good hands with you," Queen Ysabel said, her voice filled with gratitude.

King Eryndor then bowed his head as a gesture of respect for the fallen, and Ysabel followed suit. The entire room fell into a moment of silence as they paid their respects to those who had passed away.

"I know this must be a difficult time for you, Queen Ysabel. Please know that you are not alone in your grief. The people of Ardalind stand with you and will do everything in our power to help you in your time of need," King Eryndor said as he stood back up.

Ysabel nodded, tears welling up in her eyes. "Thank you, King Eryndor. Your kindness and hospitality mean more to me than words can express."

"Please, come inside," King Eryndor said, leading the way into the palace. "You and Orryxantheus will be welcome here as long as Ardalind is still under threat from the treacherous knights."

"Thank you, King Eryndor," Queen Ysabel said, her voice soft and filled with emotion.

As they walked through the halls of the palace, King Eryndor couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and joy. He had always wanted a child, and now he had a son to call his own. And with Queen Ysabel by his side, he knew that they would do everything in their power to protect Orryxantheus and the kingdom of Ardalind from those who sought to do them harm.

ACT 29. THE DAWN OF KAIVARIAN

Sir Zephyros sat in his chambers, going through reports and intelligence gathered by his network of spies. Suddenly, he sat up straight as he read a message from one of his informants in Arandor.

"Sir, you won't believe what I've just learned," he exclaimed, rushing into Sir Zephyros's chambers. "There's a new movement in Arandor, a Liberation Movement led by Lyris, the only female elite archer in Arandor. She's a royal secret service guard."

Sir Zephyros furrowed his brow, intrigued by the news. "I've heard about Lyris before. But, I don't know her that much. Tell me more about Lyris," he demanded.

"She's one of our elite archers, sir. The people of Arandor are rallying behind her, and she's gaining support every day. She's been leading raids against the treacherous knights who have taken control of Arandor, and the people see her as their only hope for liberation."

Sir Zephyros leaned back in his chair, deep in thought. "We must reach out to Lyris and offer our support," he said finally. "She could be a valuable ally in our fight against the treacherous knights."

"But sir, we don't know if we can trust her," the informant protested. "What if she turns on us?"

"We'll have to take that risk," Sir Zephyros replied firmly. "The people of Arandor need our help, and if Lyris is the key to their liberation, then we must do everything in our power to support her. Let me bring this matter to Her Highness."

Sir Zephyros made his way to Queen Ysabel's chambers, where she was cuddling prince Orryxantheus. He quickly informed her of the news from his spy network, detailing the rise of the Arandorian Liberation Movement led by Lyris.

Sir Zephyros stood before Queen Ysabel, his eyes unwavering and his tone determined. "Your Highness, I must confess something to you," he said, his voice steady. "I and my fellow loyal knights pledged our lives to support the Kingdom of Arandor under the rightful ruler before Lady Kaivara. We have always known that the treacherous knights were not fit to rule, and we have been waiting for the right opportunity to take action."

The queen regarded him thoughtfully. "And what is this opportunity that you speak of?"

"Your Highness, we have received intelligence that there is a new movement in Arandor, a Liberation Movement led by Lyris, our royal secret service guard. Now, the people of Arandor are rallying behind her. We believe that if we offer our support, we can help Lyris and her followers reclaim the throne of Arandor for the rightful ruler."

Queen Ysabel nodded slowly. "Oh really? Lyris? Thank God she's the leader. And what do you propose we do next?"

"We will send a small group of our most trusted knights to meet with Lyris and offer our support," Sir Zephyros replied. "If she is willing to accept our aid, we will work together to overthrow the treacherous knights and restore the rightful ruler to the throne of Arandor."

The queen smiled, her eyes alight with excitement. "I love it! Let's call this new movement the Kaivarian Liberation Movement, in honor of Lady Kaivara's memory."

Sir Zephyros bowed deeply. "As you wish, Your Highness. We will do everything in our power to make the Kaivarian Movement a success."

The plan was executed, and Lyris with her followers gladly named their movement as Kaivarian. Since then, Kaivarian grew stronger after knowing that the queen and the prince were still alive. Sir Zephyros with other knights provided direction and command for Kaivarian Movement.
