Chapter 84: Might

"This is a nursery?" Laemno blurted out.

Strangely enough, the words flowed out in the same foreign tongue the Eidolon had spoken in.

"Indeed. This is where my children grow."

It pointed at a farther section of the garden, where the hands had sprouted out into crooked stumps with protrusions mimicking human limbs across their lengths.

On the opposite side, a group of similar-looking creatures was hacking the arms off corpses and setting them in the soil as one would do with plants.

Despite the bizarre scenery, Laemno found himself oddly calm. There was a growing weight on the back of his mind, slowly smothering his emotions and keeping his usual outbursts at bay. Without its influence, he would have already run away in fright.
