With a sharp pain in his head Reno awakens with blurry vision only to hear a bunch of commotion around him confused and scared about what happened to him but it was only when his vision cleared and he's grasped all his senses when true fear Overwhelmed him.
"What was that?! Where am I?! Why can't I feel my body? Am I still in the game?! Who in the hell are these people?! Npc's? WHAT IN THE HELL IS GOING ON?!"
Reno asks himself repeatedly Reaching for where His Vr system would be but doesn't feel Anything. While Reno is panicking a middle-aged man in a silver run-down suit of armor approaches him.
Looking at his armor Reno sees his own reflection only to see the face of his demi-human avatar Akuma Instead of his own before passing out again out of overwhelming shock and anxiety.
"HEY, DEMON WAKE UP!"
Reno opens his eyes only to find himself in a cage where the man in armor from before stands looking down at him with a frightened look on his face.
Reno thinks to himself and wonders if there's a way out of the game not willing to accept the possibility of being in another world but since he doesn't feel the VR system and doesn't see an interaction menu.
Reno thinks to himself wishing there was a way to see a menu or inventory of some sort but then out of nowhere to reno's surprise and disbelief a menu displaying his stats, spells and inventory pops up that only he seems to notice.
"ANSWER ME! WHO ARE YOU? AND WHY ARE YOU HERE?!"
As Reno loses focus the menu disappears which leaves him focused on the middle-aged man standing before him and answers.
"My name is Reno, Look I don't know why I'm here! I was preparing for an event but then suddenly a bright red magic circle surrounded me and I passed out due to the burning pain and woke up here"
The man in armor along with the people surrounding The cage Reno is in suddenly look at each other with disbelief and uncertainty not sure if the demon is lying and means harm to there settlement or is telling the truth.
The fact that a demon finds it's way here where there isn't none is bizarre and very unlikely and Reno starts to notice since he only sees humans and no other species or demons like himself so naturally, he starts to understand why they don't trust him.
In the game Grimsky there was a lore that Reno begins to recall where in the past demons and humans worked closely together to develop their kingdoms and villages but since demons are generally stronger the human race started to depend on the demons far more then the demons depended on the humans as a result demons began to look down on them and many but not all soon decided to claim all as there's and rule over the humans.
Many lives were lost and demons began to go their separate ways beginning to see the conflict as pointless but the damage was done and the hatred between the races only grew from there.
"I wonder if this is Grimsby because if it is… I'm screwed"
Reno thinks to himself feeling the Glares of contempt from the people around him until he hears a voice from the crowd laughing in a way that was unbefitting of the current situation.
" hahaha Maybe this demon isn't lying besides demons are strong so if he meant any harm he would have broken out of his cage and attacked… first we should confirm the young lad's story"
Approaching the cage Reno is held in was an old short woman with gray hair and gold eyes of a cross with a big grin on her face.
Reno automatically knew who this woman was or rather what she is. The eyes of this woman made it very clear to Reno that the old woman standing before him is a mage and since only human mages in Grimsky have such an eye pattern it only confirmed to Reno further that he's In the world of Grimsky.
"ok young man give me your hand and I will see for myself if you speak the truth but if you are lying I'm sure you can guess what will happen to you"
Reno looks at the old mage standing next to the armored man with uncertainty not sure to trust them but seeing that this was the only way for him to prove himself as not a threat he accepts the situation for what it is.
Reno brings his hand forth threw the metal cage gaps as everyone begins to place there hands on each other's shoulders and the armored man places his on the mages before she grabs onto Reno's hand and casts a spell.
"SPECTRAL MEMORY SPAN!"
Under a vast amount of pressure, Reno begins to see his own memories of what led him here but recent memories weren't the only thing he was seeing, it was all of his memories threw out his life and the further he saw the more pain he felt before instinctively pulling his hand away from the mage.
Reno looks at the silent crowd and saw faces of shock and disbelief. The people that were previously hell-bent on getting rid of him seemed curious now like they were looking at a new discovery before the mage signals to the armored man to open the cage.
"So I'm guessing you believe me…Again my name is Reno and I have no bad intentions"
The armored man and the old mage moved forward standing face-to-face with Reno as they apologize for locking him in the cage and proceeded to introduce themselves.
"I'm Ozzie the village head and this old Crook is Conna our strongest mage. Welcome to SpringHill Village."
